A unique setting pretty close to Paia. Beautiful property. Felt like our experience was more 'authentic Maui' than the resorts. Eve was great to work with! Very adequate and a good 'home base' for our group of 8 to explore especially the north and east sides of the island.

Our host was the BEST! The property grounds were truly special. We were even lucky enough to join a moonlight walk along the labyrinth. Great communication and we were treated like family. Would stay here again a thousand times over.

Beautiful Mountain Stay

Eve's place was in a great location for us and was such a pretty and relaxing place in the jungle! Great beds and such a neat place to stay!

This cozy log cabin was perfect for my husband, mother, and our adult children! It was a beautiful place to wake up to every morning! The kitchen was fully stocked and the place had everything we needed! If we needed for anything, Eve, the owner, would gladly help us locate ore provide it for us! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere and been taken care of so well as we were here!

Hosts are very nice and friendly! They live on property which makes asking for help very easy.Eve was there when we arrived to give us a quick tour and overview of the place. She was available via text whenever I had a question, which put our minds at ease.Our family of 10 found the house a really great fit for our family trip. We enjoyed being able to walk around the property and taking in the peaceful garden as well. Kids were curious and entertained by the chickens, cats, and very friendly dogs. The Jenga and puzzles were a fun touch while we were in between meals at the house.I will say that during our stay because it rained, the mosquitos were out in full force. So getting in and out of the car was always a mad dash. There were also a few geckos roaming around, which is to be expected, and yet will always be surprising when you see them. These were not issues because we understood being on a larger nature property, it comes with the territory.They were even great when we forgot a few things at the house and saved them for us to pick up. Truly so nice!

Maui Experience

The Log Cabin was just perfect for our group. The spacious rooms, porch and camp fire setup was more than we expected. Would definitely book there again when visiting in the future.

This place was just magical. A beautiful location, out in the woods. The sanctuary nearby with the greenhouse was great, and the property was fun, interesting and unique. For us, it was a home base as we did the Road to Hana, and it worked out well for that. Also very close to the airport and town. We had a problem with a car not starting, and the property manager was quick to help us solve it.

We loved it here! Eve and Steve were amazing host. Great location, beautiful house. Our family had such a great time. We definitely want to come back. It was a beautiful and amazing experience to be in the Sacred Garden.

Beautiful Setting

The log cabin was very comfortable and accommodating for our multi-generational family of 8. The setting is gorgeous and the Sacred Garden a must. Eve, our host, was very responsive and there for everything we needed without being intrusive. Highly recommend!

A great mountain retreat

This property was perfectly positioned for the morning sunrise on Haleakala (less than 1 hour to the summit). It had plenty of space for our group of 9. Eve was extremely helpful and communicative. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Amazing property

We were a girl scout troop of 9 teenage girls and 3 adults visiting from Los Angeles. The property had more than enough beds for everyone, and really great common areas. Eve was super welcoming and really made our stay the best. The property has gardens, animals, and plenty of space to walk around which was perfect for our group. Would highly recommend staying here!!

Peaceful and Beautiful

Very nice property and community. Private, yet inviting. So many neighborhoods are not welcoming to vacationers, this place is the exception. We had maximum privacy without the glares of unfriendly neighbors. Host fantastic. Property very well stocked with everything we needed. Centrally located to all things Maui.

We were a family of nine and this house worked well for us. it has a funky and earthy vibe, which we enjoyed and was a real contrast to Waikiki Beach where we had just stayed. We were there during a warm spell and even though the house did not have air conditioning, the nights were pleasant even if during the day it could get a little warm. Eve, the host, arranged for us to have a private hula lesson, which was a highlight of our stay. We greatly enjoyed the centrality of the location to things were were doing on Maui including the Road to Hana, a pineapple tour, and sunrise in Haleakalā National Park. We would definitely stay again if we made a return visit to this area.

Nice stay

We had a very nice stay in the log house. It was big enough for our extended family and it was nice to be in the green forest area of Maui. Eve (the owner) gave us a tour of the property and we learned a lot about the plants in the area. The kitchen was a good size and well stocked. Also the laundry room came in handy. In the evenings, it was peaceful to hear the rain and breeze through the trees. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

A paradise

Staying at this property was a blessing. In addition to the house with all the facilities, the land with the animals, pets are part of the charm of this place. Also the kindness of Eva our host and the Sacred Garden where we had the opportunity to meditate and walk the labyrinth under her guidance was a plus. We would repeat the experience without a doubt.

Green Paradise

We very much enjoyed our time in this house surrounded by lush nature with avocado, orange, tangerine trees, etc. Eve was so welcoming and is a great host. The house is very spacious and we (9 adults) enjoyed cooking and having meals around the dining table. The mornings are beautiful with the sun on the balcony and on the meadow in front of the house. Highly recommend this place for a big group! Mahalo for the welcome and farewell!

Unique Experience

My family (10 of us) stayed at this lovely spot in Makawao. Eve, this host, runs a very beautiful and unique property. She also owns The Sacred Garden next door. It was our first time staying upcountry and I have to say, I loved it. The house was spacious and everyone had plenty of room. Internet worked well. Kitchen is nicely stocked. If you have multiple people and are looking to try an upcountry stay, I highly recommend Eve’s house.

log house in your own private tropical surroundings

This property was absolutely gorgeous! The house was roomy and fully equipped, even for 10 people, and beautifully appointed with artwork everywhere. The surroundings were a tropical dream - flora of all kinds completely surrounding us. Beautiful sunrises and rainbows almost every day. Ducks, dogs, and chickens, too, to entertain us. Eve is a lovely hostess and gave us a tour of the property which has 3 other rental houses scattered throughout the property, her own private home nearby, as well as her gardens/shop just outside the gate along the road. Communication with Eve was encouraged by her and certainly welcomed by us, and we took advantage of her knowledge of the area. We highly recommend this property - all 10 of us!
