Sweetman Cottage boasts a newly renovated bright and spacious 2nd living area with wall mounted flat screen TV and leather chaise lounge. There is ducted heating and cooling throughout for all year-round comfort.

The new luxe bathroom comes with stand alone bath, shower and bespoke vanity. There is the convenience of a second toilet with modern vanity in the laundry.

Sweetman Cottage has three bedrooms. Both the Queen and Double have patio doors leading on to the beautiful, full length deck at the front of the property. The bedrooms all have ceiling fans for extra comfort.

Just a short stroll to the river front with all its attractions and only minutes to Goolwa's stunningly beautiful surf beach.

Goolwa Getaway

The cottage was perfect for us, bright, clean and had everything we needed. Walking distance to food venues and a great base for us to go bike riding. Will look forward to returning and staying a bit longer.

Lovely property, well maintained. Close to beach. Good that linen provided - unacceptable that some places don't. Wifi was the only missing aspect - should almost be a given these days. Would highly recommend it.

Christmas at Goolwa

Our family, 2 parents & 2 adult children stayed at Sweetman Cottage over Christmas. This enabled us visit our in-laws and their children who live in Goolwa and made a good family Christmas. Sweetman Cottage was very comfortable and we all had plenty of space. The 2 shady verandahs were good for warm days and the air-con was good when it hit 40 degrees. Situated between river, beach and the main street there was plenty to do. There was also some surf at Knights, a first for Christmas. Overall a great family holiday.

Well appointed spacious holiday rental

A group of two couples stayed one night. Spotlessly clean and well appointed house with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication with the owner was good. The front verandah is good for relaxing with a book with a cuppa. Out the back is another nice outdoor area if you want protection from the wind or a BBQ. If we had been there for winter, there are two separate living areas, both welcoming. We only needed a rental for one night and while we were pleased that the owner was willing for a one night rental, but we didn’t give five stars as it wasn’t good value for money. Given we were paying for cleaning costs on top of a higher end nightly rate we were a bit surprised that owner wanted the beds stripped, towels etc put in laundry and all the dishes done etc. while not a big deal, thought that was why the cleaning was added to our account.

Gorgeous Little Place

We had a nice time on our one night here. Place was immaculately clean and well appointed. Beds and couches were comfortable. The outdoor areas were lovely to sit and relax in. You're only a few minutes walk from the supermarket (probably about 10 mins) in one direction or the waterfront and dining (probably less than 5 mins) in the other direction. The checkin and out were easy as a breeze. We're talking about whether we arrange another longer stay - we enjoyed it that much,

Awesome Easter family break
