About this property

Cottage 9 in Harmony

Our little cottage just keeps getting better and better. In addition to the covered parking, the shower has had a make-over and the internet has arrived. So, apart from the fully equipped kitchen and laundry, inverter type heating / cooling, all linen and towels and smart TV, you can now access the internet. Watching the antics of the family of Kookaburras as they lord it over the parrots and Bronze Wing pigeons provides plenty of entertainment. While you are using the webber on the front verandah keep an eye out for the nocturnal Bandicoots who have arrived this year . We also have a pizza oven and fire pit in the back yard.

We can see St. George's Basin through the trees and it’s a short drive to Jervis Bay. We back onto to Booderee National Park with its flowers and walks. There is a boat ramp within 1 kilometre . The local shop and cafe are convenient and it’s about 8 km to the brand new shopping centre in Vincentia.

The possibilities are endless whether it is walking, swimming, paddling, cycling, reading or just ‘vegging’ out ‘the cottage’ has it covered.

Lovely spot, great for young children

We loved our holiday here! It is incredibly quiet and an abundance of wildlife around. The beach is a short walk down the road, and very short drive to main beaches (Greenpatch, Hyams etc). The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need.

Perfect holiday

It was just perfect for us, the perfect reset. The cozy cottage, the wildlife, the location all perfect. From sunsets over St George’s Basin and sunrises over Hyams Beach, perfect. Paul is a great host and we are really looking forward to our next stay.

Wow! What an absolutely amazing place and location for this stay at Paul and Anne's!!! We loved being so close to the beautiful beaches of Jervis Bay and being just a short walk from the St Georges Basin.The Cottage has everything you need away from home! It truly is a home away from home! We loved our kangaroo visitors right on our doorstep and the king parrots on occasion.Highly recommend this place to stay.

Really impressed with this property. Very clean, spacious, and well stocked with extras to make our stay completely comfortable. The location is great and the owner was very helpful with any questions. Lots of kangaroos, possums and parrots, literally at your front door. Would highly recommend.

Cute little home away from home

Paul (our host) was wonderful and even called to make sure I had all the extra information I needed. The home is newly renovated with a well stocked pantry and fridge. The resident kangaroos are at the front door and grass every morning as are the rosellas and lorikeets. St. George’s basin is just a bush track away and Vincentia marketplace is 7-10min drive. It is an easy base to explore all the shoalhaven area. Our family were very comfortable (2 adults and 2 children aged 4 & 6) really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Paul!

Cozy, Comfy Beach retreat

Thank you, Paul and Anne, we had a wonderful stay. Your cottage was well equipped, and immaculately clean. There was nothing this place was lacking. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and loved our afternoon tea outside with the local kangaroos. Highly recommended.

Getaway from Sydney city...

Exactly the same as photos. Kangaroo came every day and they are just in front of us. They are not shy at all...! Everything is there so staying in this property was very easy. The ocean near by is very shallow, and you can walk quite far with just being wet on legs only. Wifi was nice and fast. Being rural area, not much restaurants there but can buy everything you need from Woolworth & Aldi near by, and everything you need are already in the property. We enjoy pizza from pizza oven on 1st day and BBQ for other 2 days. It was in deed home away from home. Thank you for sharing wonderful property. I highly recommend this property if you wish to get away from city - where you need to wear mask everywhere you go...

Great little cottage

This cottage was spaceous and well appointed. All the comforts of home. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, nice linen supplied. Fully equiped kitchen, laundry and nice sized shower. Carport to park in.

Couldn't ask for better

We were so pleased with our stay at the cottage. It not only met but far exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly appointed and spotlessly clean. It was cozy and spacious at the same time and Paul was quick to help in anyway. Everyday was a blessing. It was a trip none of us will forget and we will sorely miss all of local wildlife. Do not miss a stay at this very.special spot!

Lovely Cottage

A wonderful weekend was had at this lovely cottage amongst the kangaroos and native birds. Inside was picture perfect and outside the serenity was more than what we expected. Thank you so much for the great communication too which was much appreciated.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

We had a very nice relaxing short stay at the cottage. Lots of wildlife around with resident kangaroos in the frontyard. The cottage was spotless with all the comfort and amenities of home. Super impressed with how well stocked the pantry is. Booderee national park and Hyams beach is only a short drive away.

Didn't want to leave!!

I recently had the pleasure of escaping to Cottage 9 for a three night getaway. Here's why it was so fabulous: * The owner is very pleasant, informative, responsive and overall a pleasure do deal with (without being obtrusive) * It was an easy 1.5hour drive from Wollongong yet it is another world * The kangaroos met us upon our arrival and were rarely out of sight the entire time * We felt instantly at home. The cottage is comfortably furnished, tastefully decorated and generously stocked. In fact, we were delighted to have an excuse to "stay home" one day when the weather was a bit drizzly * Easy access meant my 87 year old mother didn't have to struggle with stairs or have any difficulty getting into the shower * The location is delightful and as a less abled troop, it was an easy drive to sight see neighbouring spots, beautiful beaches and scenery. * Who doesn't love a getaway hahaha Overall we had a wonderful time and hope to return in the not to distant future :)
