The Tailor's Cottage, Kangaroo Valley

The Tailor's Cottage is a self-contained beautifully renovated heritage cottage located in the heart of the Kangaroo Valley village. It has been designed to feel like a home away from home. Much care and attention to detail has been poured into the design and function of the property so you can enjoy an effortless weekend away.

Experience all the village has to offer with just a very short walk (100m) to the village cafes, restaurants, hotel, and more.

The cottage is a spacious one-bedroom cottage that has a large front veranda and a quite back veranda. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful garden beds.

The cottage has everything you will need to enjoy your stay:
o Open plan living, dinning and Kitchen
o Fully equipped kitchen
o Full laundry facilities (washing machine, dryer, clothes line)
o Breakfast provisions provided
o Separate bedroom with queen bed (quality lined provided including beach towels)
o Reverse cycle heating/ air conditioning and open fire
o Quality linen provided (sheets, bath towels, beach towels)
o Bathroom amenities – shampoo | conditioner | soap |hand wash| washing powder| toilet paper| hair dryer etc
o Timber for the open fire provided
o Free WiFi and NETFLIX
o Porta cot with linen, baby bath and high chair (if requested)

The Tailor’s Cottage is located on Moss Vale rd. This is the main road that runs through Kangaroo valley. While central and convenient there may be noise from vehicles on the road. The bedroom is located at the back of the property so it is quite.

Interaction with guests

We want our guests to be as comfortable as possible and to enjoy their stay at our cottage. Your privacy is treated with upmost respect, but if you need anything or have questions during your stay we are only a phone call away.
Kangaroo Valley is ideally located between the Southern Highlands and the South Coast’s white sand beaches. It’s a great spot for outdoor activities like bushwalking, kayaking, and exploring hidden waterfalls. For a more active getaway, you can enjoy golf, tennis, and bike rides with stunning views.

After a day of adventure, relax with a massage or check out the local food scene. The beautiful beaches of Jervis Bay are just 40 minutes away, and with over 100 beaches in the Shoalhaven area, you'll have plenty of options to explore. Whether you're looking to unwind or stay active, Kangaroo Valley has it all.

The Tailors Cottage is a charming, comfortable place to stay a few days. Everything was catered for and the location was perfect as well. Other than the fact that we couldn't find tissues, it was perfect and we have been telling friends.

A perfectly cosy stay

My husband and I were both very impressed by the attention to detail, little thoughtful additions and cosy nature of the cottage. It’s perfectly located to stroll a few doors down to cafes and stores, and has that gorgeous old world charm with all of the essential mod cons. We won’t hesitate to book again next time we are craving a weekend away.

The perfect kangaroo valley village getaway

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the tailors cottage. Apart from the very comfortable and tastefully decorate space, the added touches were so very much appreciated. A fridge full of breakfast options, fresh sourdough, large selection of teas, a coffee machine, wine, chocolates and the great variety of snacks meant we wanted for nothing. Located Smack bang in the village, we enjoyed strolling, browsing the gorgeous shops and savouring great coffee. Thoroughly recommend this little gem in the valley.

Our Short Stay Honeymoon

Thank you so so much for your beautiful little cottage ~ we hired it for 3 days over our beautiful wedding weekend and it was absolutely perfect. It is all about the little things for us, and being left a bottle of bubbles and beautiful chocolates, to the beautiful bread and food was just amazing. These people go above and beyond to present the perfect place to stay in the most beautiful little village. My husband and I purchased the Tailor’s Cottage 15 years ago. We lived in the cottage while we designed and built the Tailor’s Terrace that was completed in 2016. We now reside in Vaucluse and are extremely fortunate to enjoy our properties in the Valley on the weekends with family and friends to unwind. Much care and attention has been poured into the design and function of the properties so you can enjoy an effortless weekend away

Why they chose this property

Kangaroo Valley is uniquely situated between the beautiful Southern Highlands and the white sand beaches of Jervis Bay. It is the perfect place to base yourself to explore these two unique regions.
The cottage was beautifully renovated by the previous owner and has a great history being one of the oldest buildings in Kangaroo valley. We look forward to sharing our cottage with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
