About this property
Molly's Chase, Mollyfies Log cabin B&B
Molly's Chase offers quality accommodation in 2 log cabins, tucked away on over 50 acres of natural, hilly bushland. Both cottages are identical and out of sight of each other, so offering peace and privacy. Mollyfies cottage faces west with views towards our seasonal lake, and Mollycoddles cottage faces east with great views over our valley. Each cabin has two queen size bedrooms with spa bathroom and separate loo. There are living dining and kitchen areas. WELL BEHAVED DOGS ARE WELCOME..
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TWO CABINS NOW HAVE SEPARATE LISTINGS ON STAYZ. For a larger group (up to 8 people), you can book both cabins. Base booking of 2 people is for one room only. A linen fee applies for use of the second room when only booking for 2 people.
Cabin features include DTV/DVD, with a selection of CD's and DVD's. There is a combustion stove to cuddle up in front of, as well as reverse cycle air conditioning, free wifi and outdoor barbecue facilities. There is a fully appointed kitchen with microwave and gas cook top, as well as all the cutlery and crockery you need. All bedding and towels are provided, as well as light breakfast provisions which are left in the cabin for your arrival.
We have some lovely walking trails on the property and wildlife lovers won't be disappointed as we are visited by several species of kangaroo and wallaby, as well as wild deer and a wide variety of birdlife. If you are lucky, you may see echidna or long necked turtles. For the bush walker, Spring Gully Conservation Park is at the end of Leighton Road. We are handy for the Riesling and Rattler Trail, with around 60km of cycling/ walking track along the old railway. Cycles can be hired from Cogwebs in auburn or Clare Valley Cycles and delivered to the cabin.
Obviously, one of the main attractions is the range of friendly wineries, but we now have a number of breweries as well. With over 40 cellar doors, you can taste some of Australia's best wines, with a good chance of meeting the winemakers.
Our local hotel at Sevenhill was recently voted the best country dining in South Australia, with good food and the best range of Clare wines anywhere.
Clare townshiip is a few minutes drive away and has a range of shops, supermarkets and services.
Other attractions nearby include Martindale Hall, a National Trust listed stately home, Mintaro where the whole village is Historic Listed and the old mining town of Burra.
Your four legged friend is not forgotten,. Well behaved and house-trained dogs are welcome and are allowed to run off-leash around the property. All we ask is that you keep them off the bedding and soft furnishings and that they are not left unattended in the cabin.

Loved the secluded location, very peaceful. The cabin was very comfortable and our dog had a great time roaming the area and chasing kangaroos! We would definitely stay here again.
The outlook was just beautiful. Calm, tranquil and just the restful break we needed. Close to Clare for wineries & coffees. The owners were excellent to communicate with for check in, provisions and general questions.
If you're looking for complete seclusion, great views and fabulous night skies, this place is hard to beat. Far enough from the main road that you don't have noise/light pollution, and giving a real sense of peace. The roads are a bit dusty getting there, but that's the price of seclusion! The accommodation is pretty basic, but it is a cabin after all. Some of the cutlery, crockery and pots/pans weren't very clean and the bath could do with an update. But the location and proximity to fabulous wineries and restaurants is outstanding.
The cabin had everything we needed and glad we could bring our dog. The location is a stunning natural & quiet setting with an abundance of bird life with impressive gum trees. A perfect place to feel calm and rested. Loved it!
Lovely cabin in a beautiful area, good location to explore the region. Great to relax and unwind, quiet and private with nature on the doorstep. The cabin was well presented and self catering an option with lots of cooking utensils and general cooking equipment provided. No oven but there is a microwave and a barbecue. My only gripe is a small one that there is an extra charge for linen if you use both bedrooms, friends like to travel together too and shouldn’t be presumed a two person booking is for a couple. That being said we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book again, the dogs had a great time too.
Mollyfies cabin had everything we needed for our short stay. The quiet peaceful location was wonderful and we loved looking out at the small lake and listening to the birds.
Beautiful property. Quiet and tranquil. Even though it was raining and cold outside we were warm and cosy inside. Everything was clean and well presented. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding areas. Will definitely be back.
The cabin met all our expectations. Very well equipped, comfortable and clean. Lovely surroundings and so peaceful. A great base for exploring the region.
Beautiful and welcoming. Walking in through the door was like receiving a warm hug.
Peaceful and so very relaxing.
Great little place to stay and feel the warm glow of the fire. Great views and amazing wildlife, the echidna at the bird bath was fabulous.

Lovely feedback, thanks. As for the echidna, I've only seen one here in 20 years, how lucky were you?
