ABSOLUTE FRONTAGE TO THE MURRAY RIVER!

Murray River Retreat is very well appointed large 6 bedroom, 2 lounge rooms and a family room, Hampton's Style home.

No expense spared on furniture, beds, pillows, linen and styling, every convenience you can think of for a comfortable stay.

There is plenty of room in this holiday home for three families or a group of twelve good friends to celebrate a milestone birthday or just to connect and create some amazing memories! Unfortunately we cannot accomodate parties or weddings. We are a family and friends holiday home.

Situated on the Murray River, you will have your own private jetty to use, whether for your boat or simply sit on the jetty and watch the dolphins and boats go by. Launch your boat at Young Road Boat Ramp (very close to the property), then park your boat at our jetty for your entire stay. Most of the holiday rental homes in South Yunderup are on the canals, we are front and centre on the Murray River with boats going by constantly, such a FABULOUS outlook.

BEDROOMS ...
Six bedrooms in total which sleeps 12. All rooms have quality comfortable beds with minimal partner disturbance, hotel quality linen professionally laundered and four pillows per bed to choose between firm, soft or feather. The configuration is three bedrooms upstairs with queen beds, (two of the rooms are large with river views). Three bedrooms down stairs (two have queen beds, one large room with river views and two rooms overlooking the back yard. One with a queen bed, one with two single/twin beds).

BATHROOMS...
Two bathrooms, one upstairs to service three rooms and one down stairs to service three rooms. Two toilets in seperate rooms, not in the bathrooms. One upstairs and one down stairs.

MULTIPLE LIVING SPACES...
Two large lounge rooms, both with river views, one with a TV and entertainment unit and the other is set as a sitting room with views of the river, books, jigsaws etc. One large games room off the kitchen area with a pool table.

ACTIVITIES...
Many board games for adults and children.
A Canadian canoe for two adults and two children, two kayaks, pool table, table tennis, Finska and a few children's playgrounds within walking distance.

THREE DAYS MINIMUM STAY
Minimum stay is 3 days (please, no requests for less than 3 days) due to the time it takes to get the home ready for our guests, we require a full day to prepare in between guests. Christmas and New Year bookings are a minimum of 7 days. Trust me you won't want any less during this fabulous time of year.

WINTER WARMER STAYS
Winter stays are "simply MAGICAL". There is a fire pit, outdoor gas heater and we provide a basket of throw blankets to rug up and enjoy the peaceful winter evenings where the river is more than often perfectly still. Evenings you can hear a pin drop it's so quiet.

UNFORTUNATELY NO PETS
Although we love pets, unfortunately we are unable to accomodate pets during your stay. We hope you have a family member or friend who can look take care of your fur babies.

You will just love the atmosphere and the tranquility of being on the Murray River.

FIRSTLY OUR BBQ - we have such a magic location on the Murray River, you may not want to leave :)

RESTAURANTS BY BOAT! Sandy Cove Tavern, Jetty’s Bar and Grill Ravenswood Hotel, Pelicans Cafe (great for fish and chips). All have jetty’s to tie up to. We are close to the Estuary so getting into Mandurah for restaurants is really easy if you have a waterways map.

PELICAN’S CAFE - walk along the Murray River front to the right, cross and little bridge and you arrive at Pelican’s, or by boat. An easy paddle on the canoe or kayaks.

PINJARRA - The Exchange Hotel a new trendy pub, huge and fabulous location.

PINJARRA EDENVALE HERITAGE TEA ROOMS - 2 Henry Street Pinjarra, it’s a historic homestead with some collectable gear out the back in the big sheds.

PINJARRA PREMIER HOTEL - we’ve only just discovered this place, it’s a typical pub but the food is excellent. My friends recently said “it’s the best steak sandwich” they have ever had. On the weekend they have a trio or band playing in the beer garden.

DWELLINGUP - only 35 minutes from the holiday home. Great little cafe’s, Hotham Valley Train usually departs twice a day for a 40 minute trip into the Forrest, 20 min walk, then back again.
