Important before booking: the current photos were taken before the late 2024 renovation. The new granite kitchen, fully tiled walk-in shower, fresh coastal décor, and updated furnishings are complete and in place.

Manatee Public Beach is directly across the street. The shared heated pool is steps from the unit. Hammocks are on the property for the afternoons when the pool isn't calling. An outdoor shower handles the post-beach rinse. Sand Dollar 2 is a Holmes Beach vacation rental on a quiet dead-end street where the beach, the pool, and the island are all within easy reach.

The unit was completely renovated in late 2024. New granite kitchen with modern appliances, fully tiled walk-in shower in the renovated bathroom, fresh coastal décor, and new furnishings throughout. The semi-private deck has beach gear storage — chairs, umbrella, and wagon included for trips across the street.

Two bedrooms sleep six. The master has a king bed with its own TV. The guest bedroom has two twin beds. The living room has a 55" smart TV and a sleeper sofa for the remaining guests. High-speed 1-gig WiFi. Fully equipped kitchen for meals at home. Shared laundry on the property. Linens and towels provided.

Dogs are welcome with a $150 non-refundable fee. The dead-end street and the resort layout make this one of the more comfortable pet-friendly setups in Holmes Beach.

Cafe on the Beach, Skinny's Place, and local dining are within easy walking distance. The free island trolley stops close by for exploring all of AMI without a car. Boat and trailer parking available on-site.

Sand Dollar 2 is one of four renovated units at MI Happy Place — all sharing the heated pool and grilling area.

Sand Dollar 2 requires a one-week minimum stay with parking for two vehicles.

This is part of four units that shares a nice pool across the street from Manatee beach. Looks like everything is new due to the hurricane rebuild. Kitchen is not well accesorized but just a clean ground floor unit with decent beds.

Holmes beach vacation

Had a great time at Mi Happy Place. Clean, convenient and well situated on the island. Short walk to the beach, grocery store and some local restaurants. Hosts were very responsive as well. The pool was very nice and the space worked perfectly for us. Definitely recommend for a small group looking for a beach getaway.

This condo was exactly how they described and portrayed! It was clean upon arrival and had everything we needed as far as kitchen supplies and linens go! The pool was always clean and although laundry wasn’t in unit, it was just across the yard of the property & was very clean and worked perfectly! LOVED MI HAPPY PLACE !!

This was our first time to AMI and we had a great vacation !! Our condo was conveniently located about a 3min. walk to a beautiful beach which had a restaurant and a great place to watch the sunset. The condo was very clean and perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed . The owners are the greatest people to work with, friendly and super fast responses. We are looking forward to staying here again :)

Reviewer Comments: That is how my 16-year-old granddaughter described our week stay at your property. BVE!!! We loved the location with easy access to the beach, stores and free trolley. The accommodations were fantastic with everything I needed to fix meals every day. Loved having the washer and dryer to do the daily load of towels. The pool was fantastic, and we enjoyed it every morning and evening after coming back from the gorgeous sunsets. Our Agent Amy Trainer was phenomenal, keeping us updated on water shutdowns as well as procedure's for checking in and out. We will definitely be back next year.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented three of the four cottages for a family of 9. The cottages and location were absolutely breath taking! A few steep to your right and you were on the beach, we you can play sand volleyball, enjoy a sunset, collect seashells (mornings are the best) or enjoy a pina colada at the Tiki Bar. A few steps to your left and you will find grocery store (reasonable priced), liquor store, Walgreens, and some cute store fronts. We took advantage of the free trolly at the beach and visited both end of the Island. Bridge Street, located on the bay side had great restaurants and variety of shops. We saw multiple dolphins on the pier. The house had everything we need and more, the beds were very comfortable and enough seating for a family gathering. We ate dinner outside and BBQ’s a few times during our stay. We didn’t need to rent any chairs or umbrella for the beach. We loaded up the wagon (was provided) with the cooler, chairs, umbrella, volleyball, and football and headed to the beach to enjoy the soft white sand. We enjoyed the pool daily! It was a nice spot to hang out together, play water games, sunbath, hang out in the hammocks, or play card games while enjoying the beautiful view. We hope to come back and fill the fourth house with more families members.

MI Happy Place - Sand Dollar was great, it was clean, comfortable and well-equipped with all I needed. Not a luxury condo - which I wasn't looking for anyway - perfect for our "sisters trip" or for a single, couple, or small family. Appliances, kitchen, shower, etc -all good. The location was perfect, especially for first time visit, easy to find, and great access to the beach. Pool was nice, and laundry facility was a plus. I would definitely return, and recommend to others.

The Beach with cafe and bar are literally a walk out the back yard and across the street. The back yard itself was our own little tropical paradise with pool, grill, and plenty of seating, tables, etc available. We loved that there was a wagon with umbrella and chairs to take to the beach as well. The grocery store is very close as well. We had a great week here and will definitely be coming back.

All beach supplies such as chairs, umbrella and a cart were provided and in great shape. The pool was also wonderful and kept up weekly by a pool maintenance company. Even the lawn crew that mowed the yard were nice and friendly. This is our second time staying here and I would highly recommend this company and this duplex. You will definitely enjoy it.
