easily the nicest house and host I have ever stayed at in all my experiences traveling up the coast. Me and my family will go back as soon as possible to this lovely oasis
We just spent 4 days in a beautiful mountain home. We could not have asked for a better experience. The house was wonderful and our host was so gracious and interesting .I would have loved just spending hours talking to Miche.I Slept in the sun room. The bed was comfortable but even better was the incredible view of the moon through the wall of windows..There were 4 of us and all of us hated to leave and can not wait to go back again.
Pictures do not do this slice of heaven any justice . MIch exudes warmth , kindness and hospitality and was thoughtful beyond measure. Hand drawn maps , beautiful sunsets , peaceful forest .
The setting was beautiful and serene; the house well furnished and equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable and carefree stay and the host, Micheline, was attentive and gracious.
The place was as advertised advertised... Peaceful, quiet and overall quite nice. We only had one small problem that left a bad taste. The "pet friendly" listing said nothing about an extra fee but the owner asked for one after we got there... in cash or check. As we were ready to check out she showed up to collect and when we said that extra fees were not allowed by VRBO or Oregon law she began screaming at us. I would have had no objections to paying this if it had been mentioned up front.

Definitely an odd experience concerning the dog fee! The first of its kind in the 7 years guests and their dogs have been enjoying this place. Sometimes people forget to include their pets when they create their reservation, which happened here. So I included in my welcome text to them (with the arrival instructions) that they could take care of it by adding it to their reservation or doing check or cash, whichever was convenient for them. Which, if you happen to forget, I will do for you as well.
The home is absolutely beautiful. Clean. Welcoming. Micheline is charming and very welcoming as is Keller her dog. Sauna was fabulous, living room cozy with a warming fire, kitchen well stocked. All in all absolutely terrific.
A lovely place to have a getaway or staycation, we enjoyed the peaceful, snowy forest, snowshoeing to nearby PCT, and taking a wood-fired sauna. Accommodations and host are superb.
This place was perfect for the 8 of us. There are opportunities for hiking and we were close to Ashland to drive in for a play. The house was comfortable and clean with all the amenities we needed.
Mich was a wonderful hostess. She offered to help and made us feel right at home. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. We had things planned for every day but we returned each evening to a comfortable welcoming place to stay. Thank you!
We chose this property as a middle meet up for family from Los Angeles to Portland. Our first journey to Ashland and couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. Was truly magical!!
The house was well appointed. Great location if you enjoy the enjoys. Close to the PCT trail, Mt. Ashland, and short drive into downtown Ashland. Very peaceful and relaxing setting.
A great place to getaway. Micheline is awesome. The sauna is amazing and the house is beautiful and comfortable. A perfect time in nature with friends!
We all loved our stay, the property had a lot to offer and lots of extra touches, such as interesting art and our own decorated Christmas tree. Mich the owner was very hospitable and kind. The house was clean and comfortable. The beds were good, we had a very nice stay.
I wanted to bring the kids to the Shakespeare Festival. To make it special, we stayed on Mt. Ashland at this lovely site. The home was beautiful, the area is lovely and we enjoyed our short stay immensely. We hope to return!
We enjoy quiet and nature, and this place was centered on both. This is a unique and special home where you can get away from it all. You can hike and explore out the door, and then you can drive up to Ashland and get some culture.
We chose this property because it was close to Ashland and OSF and to skiing at Mt. Ashland. The home is roomy and there is lots of land around it. The host lives close and there is another rental next door. A short walk to the PCT.
Such a beautiful house on beautiful property. Everything is one-of-a-kind. We appreciated how the necessities were just there: coffee, shampoo/conditioner, paper towels, Kleenex, etc etc. You have all the privacy you'd like but also the host isn't far away. Gorgeous and perfect!
Mich was excellent with her communication and her place was so warm and inviting. It is a wonderful escape outside of town and alongside wonderful trails. We loved the home with all of its amenities. We hope to come back in the summer.
