Jack’s Point is a 40 acre rural getaway which has extensive frontage to scenic Cairn Curran Reservoir. Occupying an elevated position, the home is of new construction and offers you the luxuries you would expect in a waterfront holiday home.
Cairn Curran Reservoir is renowned for water sports; boating, skiing and fishing. A driveway to the water’s edge is clearly marked, as is the walking track to the water and also to the property’s own gold mining shaft. There is a public boat ramp for launching into the lake only 4 minutes away.
You will no doubt see a great deal of Australiana during your stay. We have a small mob of kangaroos who like to spend time in the bush not too far from the house, as well as a whole host of local birdlife.
Our home has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, and a full sized fridge. We provide light refreshments for our guests upon arrival, along with the daily necessities such as fresh tea, coffee, milk and sugar.
There are lovely rural and water views from the open plan living/meals area, which also opens to the wide front verandah. There is WIFI, a television with Netflix and free to air, as well as Bluetooth speakers to elevate your viewing experience, or to connect your phone to play music.
We have installed a solid fuel fire place (wood is provided for your use), which is lovely to have burning during the cooler months. The living space also has split system heating and cooling to keep you comfortable.
The home has three bedrooms with queen sized beds, robes and their own split system heating and cooling unit for individual comfort. The main bedroom has a walk in robe and ensuite with shower, as well as views to the lake and direct access to the front verandah, where you could catch the morning breeze and enjoy a cuppa.
There is a family bathroom with shower and bath, a separate toilet and a fully equipped laundry should you like to have your washing cleaned, dried and folded prior to getting home. We provide high quality linen and towels for your use during your stay.
A number of historic townships are within a very short driving distance, just 5 minutes to Newstead (river, general store, country style pub), 10 minutes to Maldon (IGA supermarket, country style pubs), and 30 minutes to Hepburn Springs/Daylesford where some of the country’s most luxurious day spas are situated.
