As soon as you walk in the front door, all your worries will melt away and you can focus on the important things - grilling, fishing, swimming, and relaxing. Heron House enjoys a fabulous location with a three minute walk to the beach! Relax on the back balcony to a tranquil pond with a sparkling fountain while you enjoy sunset views over the bay.

Heron House is located at the beautiful Pointe West resort on the west end of Galveston Island. Pointe West is a master planned development with private beach and is a one-of-a-kind location on the island. The Beach Club is truly a resort, with pools, a lazy river, hot tub, nature walk, restaurant, bar, fitness center, pickleball, bike rentals, and more! The Beach Club charges $25.00 per person (4 and older) for the length of your stay.

Our home is designed to make you and your family comfortable. Smart TVs are in the living room and all three bedrooms. We have the fastest WiFi speed available on the island. Feel free to pack light, we have a washer and dryer for you to do a quick load of laundry.

Downstairs in the garage you will find everything you need for the beach; chairs, canopy tent, boogie boards and a wagon to take it all with you. You will also find a patio underneath the house complete with picnic table, chairs, hammock, and a charcoal grill for your use. For those of you with small children, we have a stroller and pack-n-play for your convenience. We also have a 6 passenger golf cart that you are welcome to use while staying in our home. Please feel free to use it to go to the Beach Club or to explore Pointe West. **NOTE: the golf cart CANNOT be driven on the beach!**

Seven Seas Grocery Store is the closest fully stocked grocery store and is 7 miles from the house. The Strand, Pleasure Pier, Academy Sports, Walmart, Randalls, and the rest of Galveston is approximately 30 minutes from the house.

The location was nice and quiet. The beaches were nearly deserted (yay!) in November. The golf cart was fun, but we didn’t really use it during our stay. Nice to have a rolling cart to lug beach toys down to the beach, which was about a 5 minute walk. The beds were comfy, but maybe a little bit saggy in the middle of the main bedroom’s mattress. All in all a good stay at the beach during a very quiet time!

Absolutely everything you could think of for the beach, they had it! Our only complaint was there wasn’t enough dish towels but that’s it. Everyone in our party had an absolute blast! Will definitely be booking here again!

WE LOVE THIS HOUSE and the wonderful communication

Everything was wonderful as always. We really like this because of the golf cart, and it is only 2 stories. It is very clean, and they have really fun toys and beach equipment for all ages.

Fun times!

Lovely family beach getaway. Perfect location walking distance to beach. Lovely views and neighborhood. Great clubhouse and amenities. Very cute ice cream truck servicing the area. House is spacious and clean with all you need to enjoy your stay. We will be back!

The reservation, check in and check out process was super easy! The property had every amenity we could possibly need to make our stay perfect for my parents, myself and my kids. The home was beautiful and we can’t wait to stay again this summer. Thank you again!

We are long-time Houstonians with a love for Galveston. We enjoy fishing, golfing, birdwatching and playing tennis & pickleball. We grew up visiting the island and are so excited to continue those visits and traditions with our three children and numerous family members. We are also excited to host visitors to share our love for the island.

Why they chose this property

We chose Pointe West because it is the largest beach on Galveston Island and is uniquely situated between the beach and the bay. The community feels like a throwback in time to a simpler life where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors - from walks on the sidewalk or the sunset drives on the golf cart. Pointe West is a master planned community where you can enjoy a full resort experience on the less crowded part of the island.
