Located literately on the boundary edge of Yellowstone National Park. Just 4.5 miles, from the North Entrance to YNP at Gardiner, Montana. The cabin is located just 3.1 miles from the bridge, at Corwin Springs, on Old Yellowstone Trail South. After crossing over the Corwin Spring Bridge turn LEFT on Old Yellowstone Trail South which is a dirt road. Please note; like most other dirt roads, this road can occasionally be a rough to ride on. Therefore, we highly encourage everyone to slow down & enjoy the abundance of wildlife often spotted along the road. The Elk View Cabin (#20) is just 1 of 21 cabins. This group of cabins provides a sense of security not offered from a solitary cabin location. Once inside, you'll see the Yellowstone River, through the two large front windows, Paradise valley as it extends towards the western entrance of Yellowstone, spectacular mountains views of Absaroka-Beartooth Range, to the left, & the Gallatin Mountain Range, on the right.
Throughout the year, wildlife often roam freely along the Old Yellowstone Trail South & frequently our property as they migrate in and out of Yellowstone National Park. Occasionally, our guests are blessed to see elk, bison, mule deer, Prong Horn,
Big Horn Sheep, Coyotes, Yellow Belly Marmots, Mountain Blue Birds, Meadow Larks, Western Tanagers, Swallows, Wood Peckers, and a variety of other birds all grazing just outside the cabin (Please keep in mind, all wildlife are dangerous, one should not try to feed or pet any wild animal). Although, not often seen Grizzly and Black Bears may wonder through, (especially at night).
The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (one with a King bed, the other with 2 Queens beds, each with an “ensuite”, accommodating 6 people, a washer & dryer, spacious living/diner room area. When you first walks into the cabin, you'll notice Native American artifacts & artwork. The owners take pride, in years of collecting, and love to share their collection with each of you.
