About this property
Ola'a House by Volcano Heritage Cottages in Village center-1 mile to Nat'l Park
Ola'a (meaning "lively" in Hawaiian) House is a 1,700 square foot home in the heart of Volcano Village featuring authentic Hawaiian furnishings and original art by local artists. The house is owned by the co-founder of Kilauea Lodge and former Magnum PI make-up artist Albert Jeyte (the house was part of the Kilauea Lodge properties.) You are hosted by one of his daughters, Alexx.
This home is walkable to and located in the heart of Volcano Village a small artists’ community located just outside the entrance to Volcanoes National Park.
Enjoy:
- Two bedrooms, one with king bed and the second with two twin beds. (beds can be combined for a small additional fee)
-One full bathroom between the two bedrooms, and an extra vanity and sink inside the second bedroom.
-Twin size sofa/chair bed in the living room where a fifth person can sleep.
-Free onsite parking right in front of home
-Large living room, with gas fireplace and smart television has plenty of room to hang out
-Beach towels, games, and books books are available for use during your visit
-Fast WiFi for streaming or work
-Full kitchen with stove, microwave, coffee maker, pot and pans
At 3,750 feet altitude, the town of Volcano, and most of the National Park, enjoy a cooler climate than the sea-level communities. There are extra amenities such as a heated towel warmer in the bathroom and heated mattress pads on the beds, to keep you cozy on the cool Volcano nights.
No washer or dryer on the property. There is a laundry place just up the road. Free, private parking is in the driveway right in front of the house.
The private road, Hale Ohia Lane, is one of the oldest in Volcano, and is treed with a wide variety of old growth species.
