Great apartment in Bordeaux, spacious 2 bedroom with full kitchen and laundry. PerfectLocation for exploring and beautiful terrace view. Host was very responsive and helpful for our stay. Comfortable beds and everything you need for your stay.
Great central location with lots of things to do. Small kitchen, but it had what we needed to make a few dinners and breakfasts during our stay. The neighbors were mostly quiet during our 3 week stay until our last night.

Such a cosy apartment with an iconic landmark right outside the door ( features on the open top bus tour as well) . Fabulous views from balcony and apartment. Fantastic location , multicultural area , but we didn’t feel unsafe at all. The public transport so easy and cheap. The information from the host regarding airport transfers was spot on. So easy and only 1euro.80 each. We caught it back when leaving. Saved us a fortune in taxis . Fabulous trip via train to Saint Emilion , and we visited the Cite du Van museum , you need at least a half day here and wine tasting it was fabulous, immersive experience on the history of wine . We loved Bordeaux as a City , I ran along the Garonne in the mornings safely and the whole city just comes alive with biking, runners, walkers . Our host was informative, the apartment as described and we loved it. We appreciated the contact throughout and meeting us on the day. Five star experience of a wonderful City .
Pros:This is a very stylish, comfortable apartment. There is a lot of natural light because of skylights and windows to the terrace. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook small meals. The bathroom is a typical European one. Small shower but adequate. There is a great boulangerie 2 blocks away, and a market about a 10 minute walk. The tram is a couple minutes walk from the apartment. Huge benefit: there is an elevator!Cons: stick to the main streets rather than alleys, however if you take the tram up one stop you're in a fun part of the city. There is muffled road noise all night.Overall, it was an excellent stay! I would recommend this flat!
The apartment is well located, with shops, restaurants, tram line, and bakery near by. Apartment is comfortable; good security.

Once again, we appreciate your positive feedback and thank you for choosing Bordeaux Terrace Apartment. We would be delighted to host you again in the future and provide you with another enjoyable stay in Bordeaux.
The location is great – a block from a tram stop, a block to the river, and in the neighborhood of Saint Michel (a gathering spot for families and friends in the neighborhood). The Saint Michel neighborhood is also the local shopping area (bread, cheese, wine, and groceries). Check-in was easy with Charlotte, the manager. The deck has fabulous views of the Porte de Bourgogne and Pont de Pierre and we used it every day for breakfast in the mornings and wine and cheese in the evenings. The building blocks the sun on the deck in the afternoon and there is nice breeze from the river. We highly recommend Bordeaux Terrace.
We loved a number of things about the property - it's central location, layout, balcony, and it contained everything we needed for our stay. The area is 'edgy', and some unpleasant characters in the area, but none of that affected our stay and is not the fault of the property, every city is the same !
We had an enjoyable stay at Bordeaux Terrace. It was an easy walk into the City Center as well as to the local parking garage for trips outside the city. The apartment was well cared for, however, the neighborhood was dirty; lots of trash and broken bottles every day. We tended to avoid St Michel square and instead walk into the “old” city. Overall, a good stay. Charlotte was very helpful upon check in and check out was easy and flexible.

Thank you for choosing Bordeaux Terrace for your recent stay and for sharing your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay overall and found the apartment well cared for.
We understand the convenience of being within walking distance to the City Center and the local parking garage, allowing you to easily explore both the city and its surroundings.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the cleanliness of the neighbourhood. While we strive to maintain the highest standards within our apartment, we acknowledge that the cleanliness of the surrounding area is beyond our direct control. We are part of a neighbourhood community of apartment owners working with the city authorities to ensure improvements are made for the benefit of future guests.
The "old" city on the other side of the apartment building holds its own charm, and we're glad you enjoyed exploring that part of Bordeaux.
We're pleased to hear that Charlotte, our property manager, provided you with helpful assistance during check-in. We always aim to offer a smooth and accommodating experience for our guests, and we're glad that your check-out was easy and flexible.
Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Bordeaux Terrace in the future, providing you with an even more enjoyable stay.
Apartment well maintained. Very accommodating and helpful property managers. The view from the terrace is outstanding. The terrace itself is well set up for dining and relaxing among a variety of plants. Proximity to the tram made getting to the airport and the train station a breeze - no transfers needed. One issue was handled quickly by the property managers and the owner.

Bordeaux's excellent public transportation system is a great asset, and we are glad it enhanced your overall experience.
We apologize for the issue you encountered during your stay, but we are glad to hear that our property managers and owner acted promptly to resolve it.
Once again, thank you for choosing Bordeaux Terrace. We hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future and providing you with another memorable stay in Bordeaux.
This elevator accessible apartment is within a block of a Tram stop with amazing views of the river. Several grocery and bakery options are available nearby. We met our host's colleague at the appointed time and she gave us an orientation tour of the apartment. The apartment was clean and had all the things we would need. (The use one, replace one wine sharing station was a nice addition) Please note that my 6 foot 2 inch tall husband did have to guard his head in some parts of the apartment, but we left with no injuries.
We had a great stay from 11-18 September. Super apartment multiple air conditioning units much appreciated. Location close to Port du Burgoyne Tram stop. Ideal for exploring Bordeaux by tram or river taxi (Bat). WiFi issues and lighting in the shower room sorted promptly. 100 steps to the 4th floor but the lift is available for luggage. We really enjoyed our stay with so many fantastic places to each at lunch and in the evening. The local bakery is also brilliant and only 5 minutes walk away. We hope to be back in Bordeaux soon!
Many thanks for the memories and the breakfast balcony, what a winner!
This apartment is in a nice location, being right on the river, and the terrace offers lovely views over Porte Bourgogne.
There is a lift to the fourth floor location of this apartment, which was very handy, and the apartment was clean.
There is a good parking station about 200 m from the apartment, which is very handy if you have a car.
The apartment is of a good size but probably better suited for just two adults or two adults with young children.
The master bed was comfortable and the furnishings and fittings are rather eclectic, but not high end, however they are adequate.
Communication with the host was easy and the check in and check out process was easy as well.
The apartment is located on the top floor of this old but renovated building, it has a small elevator from the 90s that can only carry two adults. During our stay I never saw anybody else coming in or out or even heard anybody in the other apartments, it felt as if we had the whole building for ourselves.
The apartment is big and cozy with all the amenities.
It has a full kitchen with washing/dryer machine. Yes two in one.
The location of the apartment is strategic, you have markets, convenience stores, pharmacies, restaurants, small shops all around,
From the terrace you can see a nice view of the bridge, the river and of course this arch which gives a special feeling of your stay.
The only thing to remember is that the apartment is located in a very narrow street so you have to be quick unloading your bags, and find parking ( which is a few feet away)

Great location and views
We had a wonderful time in Bordeaux. The tram system is so well laid out we used it several times. Being so close to the river was fun. There are many small shops for meat, produce and bakeries. There are restaurants everywhere to enjoy and the kitchen in the apartment is very well equipped. The size of the bedrooms were good. Although a little odd the WC was in the entry and the shower and sink were next to the bedrooms. I suppose if there was more than just a couple like we were it would make it easier to have just one bathroom. The apartment is on a top floor but the elevator makes that not an issue.
We loved it and our hosts were great. The owner Suzanna was very responsive and Charlotte the property manager was great. We only had a question or two after settling in and Charlotte was awesome. She also arranged for a taxi to take us to the train station when left. Thank you! We really had a great stay.

It was our pleasure to have you stay. Thanks so much for your wonderful review. Yes, being in an ancient building, the layout of the apartment is a little quirky - it's one of the charms of the place!
This is a unique property with a great deck. It is on the 4th floor that is a lot more than 4 regular floors. It has an uneven stone circular staircase. If you have very heavy bags or aren't in pretty good shape be careful here. The owner gave us credit for the lift not working voluntarily but if you are not in decent shape, staying here could be a big problem if that lift isn't working.
Enough about the lift. There are restaurants and grocery stores very close. Right near the tram line. The apartment has a very loft type feel with ancient wood beams dominating the space and a great view. It is quiet at night, windows can be left open. They all have screens. Very well equipped, clothes washer was great.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at my Bordeaux Terrace apartment. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the deck and the great view, the loft type feel, the ancient wood beams. I am also pleased to know that you found the apartment very well equipped.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused by the lift not working during your stay. We understand that this could have been challenging. However, I want to emphasise that this is a rare event and the lift has been working without a problem for the past several years. I appreciate your understanding and thank you for mentioning that I gave you credit voluntarily for the non-functioning lift.
I am happy to hear that you found the location convenient, with restaurants and grocery stores and the tram line nearby. I hope that you enjoyed exploring the area.
Thank you for choosing to stay at my place and I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
Cute apartment with balcony close to Garonne river & public transportation
We had a very nice stay in this 4th floor apartment in the St Michel neighborhood. The apartment was well-appointed and nicely decorated. Charlotte was great about giving us suggestions on places to see & eat, and made for an easy check-in process. Getting back to the airport at the end of our stay was a breeze with the airport tram essentially right out the door!
The neighborhood is diverse with many different ethnic food options and shops; there is a grocery store just up the street, and numerous vegetable stands, butchers, boulangeries/patisseries, cheese shops, etc.
We signed up for a cooking class just around the corner, The Gastronome, and it was the highlight of our trip. It included a tour of the Marche des Capucins, where we selected ingredients for the meal that we took back to a GORGEOUS atelier about a block from the apartment and made a delicious lunch that we enjoyed with local Bordeaux wines.
It was an easy walk to anywhere in the core of the city. We walked to Cite du Vin and the trendy neighborhoods for Michelin-star meals and to the tourism office to meet up for wine tours.
My only caution was that the immediate neighborhood didn't feel super comfortable to be out in alone late at night as a woman. The building itself has a secured entrance.
We were so pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed Bordeaux -- so much less crowded than Paris, less expensive, better access to amazing wines, and similar architecture and "look & feel." Recommend!
This property was all that it is described online. We really liked that it worked well for 3 people, and it was well located with easy access to transportation. The owner was great in her communications, and we had no issues with the property other than the coffee maker wasn't working well, maybe it needed descaling. We told the property manager and she said she would attend to it. But it was not working at all during our visit. This apartment is very well equipped for those wishing to prepare their own food.
This apartment being on 4th floor would not be accessible for those with any major disability due too many stairs and small elevator. We were not impacted this way, but those who are disabled should not stay here. While the area is overall good, at night there were some people around that made me feel uncomfortable by their behaviour. The side street where the entrance is on is not extremely well lit at night. I am glad I was not there as a lone woman traveler.
Bordeaux is a very changed city since my last visit over 25 years ago, and while it isn't crime ridden by any means, there seems to be a lot of people who seem transient. My friend who is from Bordeaux and stayed with us while we visited told us that we need to take care with our bags. I guess like a large European cities pickpockets can be anywhere. Bordeaux is a great city with much to offer, and with many day trips in the region as well , it truly is a jewel of a city don't hesitate to go there and enjoy all.

The property was lovely and Charlotte was very helpful. It is off a bit from where the center of town is and I would stay up near the Tourism Office if I were to go again! Please update the information to reflect the shopping offered in that area as well.

"The property was lovely and Charlotte was very helpful," says this guest, which is very nice. So why only a two star rating?! The only explanation given is that she, "...would stay up near the Tourism Office if I were to go again". As the location of the apartment is clearly shown before booking, is this a fair and balanced review? The apartment is metres from a tram stop, and you can be anywhere in the historic centre within minutes.
In the House Book specific to this property there is information about shopping in the local area, including local markets. At the end of the book, I ask for suggestions if guests find anything they think should be included.

Why they chose this property
The first time I walked onto the terrace of this apartment and saw the amazing view, all I could say was 'Wow'! I immediately decided to buy it - it only apartment with a large terrace in this area. I love that it is in the heart of historic Bordeaux, yet has a sense of being peaceful and above from everything.
What makes this property unique
You can take your drink or meal onto the terrace and watch the world below. From here, I have seen gigantic aircraft wings floating down the river, demonstrations, beautiful firework displays and delicate falling snow. Within five minutes you can be in Rue St Catherine, the longest shopping street in Europe, or at Capucins market, where they sell the best oysters, foie gras and cheeses. There is an artisan baker just around the corner, and on Saturdays a fantastic fruit and vegetable market. On Sundays, only metres from the apartment building, you can hunt for treasures among the bric-a-brac and antiques of the St Michel market. I've found some great and inexpensive collectables here, ranging from early editions of classic books, to old photos, to vintage clothing, to kitchenware, to pieces of embroidery and garden sculptures. There is a wide selection of restaurants and bars very nearby, and the tram stop is less than 50 meters away.
