Truly a Home Away from Home

You could smell the cleanliness when you walked in the door. Everything was staged perfect showing the owner spent a lot of time getting it ready. The location is centralized between everything that is happening on the island and away from the tourist areas so you can enjoy the peace of the island. The Winn Dixie grocery store is only a few miles away. Very pet friendly in a nice neighborhood where you can safely walk your pets.

Not all it could be.

Some maintenance is needed. Master shower door bottom seal leaks badly. Sugar ants and roaches noted in kitchen, had to buy ant bait traps to help stem the tide. Poor lighting in living room for proper reading. Light on fan in master never came on. Oven is only capable of reaching 270 degrees. Dishwasher does only a moderate job of cleaning dishes. Fruit was left in the kitchen by last renters and caused an outbreak of fruit flies. Had to drive 10 miles and wait 45 minutes to exchange the cable tv box so we could get basic network service. Nice location, house far from ideal. Sorry, won’t be back.

Hi Robert, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - The bathroom shower door was replaced in January 2021. We're having a handyman come to make sure the installation was done properly. - We schedule a pest control service every 2 months to treat the property. Ants are an ongoing issue that most island homes deal with during this of time year. - The living room is equipped with a 3-light ceiling fan and side lamp. - We will replace the ceiling fan light in the bedroom. - The range is new and we have no issues with it. It operates on Celsius degrees, so it reaches up to 518 degrees Fahrenheit. - The dishwasher was recently fixed and will be reevaluated by my House Appliance warranty next week. - After you notified us of the cable issue, we immediately contacted our service to order expedited next-day delivery for the cable box. After you offered to pick up the box instead, we were not made aware of any issues you may have had at the office. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Family get away

We stayed on Pine Island it was in a quiet neighborhood only one way in can be a lot of traffic but we figured good times to come and go. Best pie is at end of island where they fish and boy is it good!

Perfect Family Retreat

This property was a perfect fit for a family. My children enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the island. The property manager was wonderful. The coffee maker stopped working and it was replaced the same day. The island lost power and the manager and neighbor notified us to drink only bottled water for so many days until the filtration system was back online. Bokeelia is a lovely island to visit. We did travel quite a bit as there aren't any local beaches on Pine Island but that wasn't an issue for us. Thank you for a great stay.

Great place.

We were very pleased with the appearance of the house when we checked in. It was clean and looked just like the pictures. We couldn't find the thermostat at first, but we called the lady next door as the directions inside said to do and she came right over and showed us how it all worked. We enjoyed the deck and pool during our stay very much. Great location, close to anything you may need. May not have needed to leave the island for anything. We would go back again.
