Really great set up with the separate space for the kids to stay. We enjoyed dinner and the firepit on the patio every evening. The pine beach picnic site is across the highway and was great for fishing and even seeing a few moose. The ability to drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National park within 10 minutes was another huge perk. Great place to stay!
We had a wonderful time at this little mountain cabin. It was super clean, well stocked, and perfectly organized. When we had questions, they were answered quickly and with care. We will definitely come back to this little cabin in the future!
We loved this cozy cabin. Mom and Dad of bride plus a set of grandparents. It was close and perfect for our needs. Coffee supplies were well stocked and everything was so clean and orderly

Adorable Mountain Cabin
We loved staying here. The boys loved the "Casita" and we loved a little peace and quiet. The location was very close to town. The home was decorated perfect for a mountain retreat and stocked just as we would want for a vacation.
This is where we will stay on our next trip to Grand Lake! Loved it and can't wait to come back.

Response from owner: "Thanks Niki! We understand how important great communication is and am so glad you felt that your questions were answered and needs met to ensure an enjoyable stay!"
We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The accommodations were accurately described. Everything we needed was provided. We skied Steamboat one day and Winter Park the next.
We had a lovely time with my husband and two children. It was super close to town and had everything we could need. We loved the extra room with bunk beds that my kids got to have their own area. We will be back!
We loved our stay at Grand County. The cabin had all we needed. We loved the fire pit outside. The kitchen had everything you needed to create whatever you wanted. I loved the water running behind it.

Response from owner: "We love the stream too! Such a great little extra! Thank you for the great review and happy to hear you had such a fabulous stay!"
Very cute property. Perfect for a couple. We had a brief snafu with check in lock box code which was quickly remedied. Property owners were quick to respond to any questions. Steps up to the bathroom in the night are very dark and could use some lighting. Minimal cookware and chipped dished but enough to get by for just two. We enjoyed this little cabin and the deck with moving water behind in the late afternoon. So many birds!!!

From the owner: "I’m so glad we were able to get you in without any further issues! Thank you for providing feedback on the lighting near the stairs. We do provide nightlights throughout the cabin and can simply move one closer to that area."
At first we didn't think we could handle the different steps of the property, but we're glad that we stayed at this charming cabin! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and the side patio by the creek. We were so excited to see a moose grazing on the other side of the creek as we drank our morning coffee! Conveniently located to go to RMNP and Grand Lake! Just wish the bunkhouse had it's own bathroom! We loved our stay! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin!
The cabin had trash on the living room floor, chapstick on the couch and it appeared the bedding in the main cabin was used.

Hi Kim, we’re sorry to hear that your stay wasn’t as seamless as it should have been. The home was turned around quickly on the day of your arrival, wish we had been made aware of these issues during your stay, so we could have immediately contacted the cleaning team to address them. Thank you for sharing your review. Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible.
We wanted something close to the west side of RMNP and this was a great location. Plenty of restaurants and stores just up the road in Grand Lake, and it was only minutes from RMNP. Everyone in the community was friendly, and the house(s) themselves were awesome. A little different from a traditional house, but that made it even better. The bed was super comfy, good shower with hot water, and nothing seemed missing at all. Taking our trash to the bin in Grand Lake when checking out was a bit interesting, but a pre-paid bag was provided which was cool. We'll definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
CUTE cabin with access to the Grand Lake community
I stayed here in March (early spring) with a couple of inches of fresh snowfall. Having the wood burning stove was a must since electricity went out for a while. The owners were great at keeping in touch. The place had EVERYTHING we needed for a comfortable stay from refrigerated condiments to laundry on site. I would love to see this place in the summer. I'd highly recommend it. Maybe next year!
This was such a needed and wonderful stay. The house was way more than we could have ever asked for. It had all of the basic necessities plus so many wonderful extra comforts of home. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure and heating were superb, the coffee maker was a god send. Even though we were eaten alive by mosquitoes and a bit sun burnt, the beauty of the lake was worth it. The food in town was delicious as always and the house was nicely between town, RMNP, and the hot springs in Sulfer Springs. We will be back and I cannot wait!

I’m so glad you had such a wonderful time and enjoyed the amenities. We try to go above and beyond to keep our guests comfortable! Looking forward to our cabin hosting you in the future!
I rented this property for my girlfriend and her 2 friends. The ad was accurate and the booking was easy. When the girls arrived, there was a slight issue with the bedding not being finished with it’s laundry cycle/beds made - but when the landlord reached out to check on them, and was informed of the situation, she went above and beyond to make up for it. I am very grateful for her hospitality and generosity.
We really enjoyed our time here. The cabin isn’t huge and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but definitely has more than the basics. It was great for a weekend getaway, close to shadow mountain lake and grand lake too! There were quite a few cob webs and some items in the cabin weren’t accurate to the description (no WiFi and the dryer didn’t work... these are not necessities but they are things I look at when booking a property). The property manager also wasn’t responsive during our time there but we contact the owners and they were very helpful! We hope to come back here!

Decent place for the price
We had a nice stay and it is close to town and hiking. It is very close to main road and was loud at night. There is a tv but no cable so can only watch movies. It also indicates in the contract there is internet but there is not. Washer but no working dryer. All in all a decent place to stay if you aren’t a fussy renter. Neighbors are great!!!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Owners were extremely communicative, providing detailed GPS info for a location with an address that Google doesn't like and leaving clear guidelines and instructions for the property and some quirks of living more remotely.
The location is about as close as you can get to Rocky Mountain National Park, and being able to access the SW section of the park so quickly was great for a multi-day stay, to easily enable some less crowded hiking in one of the busiest NPs in the country.
Kitchen amenities were more than satisfactory (particularly important given the low range of food options), and washer/dryer worked great, although the cycles were a little longer than anticipated. This made it a perfect stop for our multiweek road trip.
Would definitely recommend the stay to folks and felt like this was a pretty good deal for all you got.
Location okay few things need to be repaired and improved on property
Pictures showed bright sunny and airy we felt more like dark and dreary.
Our intention is to relax read and do crafts, we aren’t hikers and such so we can appreciate how the cottage would appeal to more active people who were more out and about. The kitchen was totally equipped and great for us cooks.
Please don’t take this as a negative review just being honest in our own needs.😊
