If this property is available, reserve it. We had rain for most of our stay and the house, with its screened in porch, and tons of places to play games, cards, and take naps was perfect. It is a 20 minute walk to the beach. This will be our first choice next time we rent.
House was perfect! Even prettier in person. So much attention to detail and just stunning. House was filled with all we needed to be comfortable plus some. Location was perfect. 15 minute stroll to beach along a very fun strip. Host was very communicative and super sweet and helpful. Exceeded expectations.
The house is very pretty, right near a playground, the Tuesday farmer’s market and walking distance also to many very good restaurants. Really very convenient even tho it’s not really walking distance to the beach for little ones. (I walked it…quite pleasant, as did other adults.—a chance to shop the whole length of Rehoboth Road.). But the parking passes solved that concern. Takes you right up to an entrance to a less populated part of the seafront for beach access. Handy…and you can use those for parking passes for dinner close in to the beach. Kitchen has all you’d need and more for cooking…and serving. Outdoor grill and outside table are fun to use, as is the screened porch. I don’t think my crowd used the balconies (3) but that’s a nice private place. My little gals used the 2 window seats inside for reading and such. Street parking (if more than 2 cars, is doable, but the next door neighbors used what is 98 Sussex’s space so we often had to hunt down a space but always found one. Lastly, I will mirror what others said about towels being washed, dried and folded, back on shelf by 10AM. If you have 2 sets of towels per bedroom plus bath mats and kitchen towels, it would be difficult to get them all done in one morning. We started at 6AM. The welcome book gives lots of good ideas…the house is well designed for privacy and quiet. Room for the jigsaw puzzle…I left one for you.The owner VERY responsive to our needs. I think this house is a winner!
The kitchen was very well stocked which made family dinners for 20 people easy to manage. (not everyone was staying at the house!)The downstairs kitchen, living and dining room areas with the open plan also made for great dinner parties.
I'd love to give this a rave review, because the house is very nice: large, comfortable, clean, well-located and well-appointed with anything a guest could want...with one glaring exception. We were required to bring our own bed linens which, for a large group coming from far away, was extremely inconvenient. (Renting sheets was an option we ruled out.) I wouldn't have agreed to this, but it was revealed long after we reserved, when it was too late to find an alternative house. We were also ordered to launder all their towels, whites and colors separately, dry and put everything away. Ditto all dishes and utensils; there were even instructions to buy any depleted supplies like detergent "for the next guest!" Checkout by 10 AM, which meant we spent our last day of vacation cleaning their house. Failure to adhere to instructions would result in fines, we were told. If we didn't finish all this work by 10AM, check-out time, we'd be fined as well. Careless renters would of course ignore all those strictures; those who habitually leave rentals clean will be affronted, which we were.

Glad to hear the house was large, comfortable, clean, well-located, and well appointed with all supplies and anything a renter could want! After COVID we found renters became very particular about the cleanliness of sheets so now we let the decision up to our renters whether they want to rent or bring sheets. I apologize if that was an inconvenience. I am certainly glad to hear that everything else was up to your standards and that you enjoyed the house other than the fact we didn’t supply sheets.
Overall comfortable stay. Sometimes the house would get a little too cold and it was a little hard to regulate the air-conditioning, but it was very humid when we were there. It’s important that the cleaning crew clean that grill and check all appliances. We were disappointed that the stove wasn’t working that well and that the grill was a disaster when we arrived. It feels like simple things could be done with the cleaning crew to help this along. Love, the fact that the bedrooms had their own bathrooms and that there was a half bath on the first floor too. It was a great place for a large family of adults to stay. Good walking distance to the Rehoboth Beach and commercial area too.
Great, large house that easily accommodated 8 of us adults. Standout features included a well stocked kitchen, a large and comfortable living area on the first floor, two back decks, one being screened in, and each bedroom having its own bathroom. Location is about a half mile from the beach and essentially adjacent to Rehoboth Ave, so an easy walk to retail and restaurants, but would probably require a car to get all your stuff to the beach. Working with owners was a breeze; they have really thought through what information you need to enjoy the house and the town. Highly recommend this property!
Beautiful house, impeccably clean and in a great location. Host was very pleasant and responsive.Certainly exceeded everyone's expectations! Beach parking passes made easy access to the ocean, many restaurants/shops nearby and our large family enjoyed nights in the screened in porch. Highly recommend!
This was our first time renting a beach house. The host was welcoming and generous. When we first got to the house, it was very clean. The views and balconies were astounding, as well as the back porch. Every appliance worked well. Overall, we have no complaints! I would definitely recommend this property to someone interested in renting a beach house.
Loved our week in Rehoboth. Beautiful, spacious, well socked and nicely decorated property. Owner was VERY responsive to any question or issue we had, generally responding within minutes. One block off Rehoboth Ave where most of the restaurants/shopping/etc is. Although a 15 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk, we didn’t mind. We generally drove (and parked for free with parking passes) to a far less crowded beach away from the masses that congregate at the downtown beaches. Wonderful week, quiet neighborhood, with great walking access to downtown Rehoboth.
We had a great stay at this house. It’s got a very comfortable living space - the main floor is actually bigger than what the pictures online show - and an awesome screened in porch. The bedrooms are all a good size and very comfortable. Amenities were great, the house has all the necessary cooking supplies and extra beach chairs etc. We loved the location - not right on the beach but in a beautiful neighborhood and walking distance to everything. Definitely recommend this place!
We very much enjoyed staying in this beautiful house. It was very clean and Amy was incredibly responsive. Each bedroom had its own nicely updated bath and beds were very comfortable. The owner was very generous in providing certain household items (ie, dishwashing detergent, beach chairs, soaps, etc) and had a very thoughtful gift for us when we arrived which included a bottle of champagne.
Delightful to find a home as advertised. Very comfortable and we enjoyed the location to concerts and restaurants.
Items for consideration: Front door curtain, 1st floor Bath blind, Full length mirror, and BR Closet availability. Change door knob/lock powder room. It provided for funtimes using the key. LOL Check batteries, remote for family room needed AAAs, purchased and solved problem. Would definitely rent again 2024. Great time!!!
The home was perfectly appointed and well stocked with everything you could need or want for a relaxing vacation away. Private, convenient, quiet and lovely…there really are not enough words to describe this beautiful home. Thank you Amy for a memorable and extraordinary vacation home…we will be back!!
We found a great home in a great location with great hosts
This lovely home was exactly as described. The location was extremely convenient to the commercial area while at the same time being located on a quiet residential street.
The entire process through VRBO was flawless. Beyond that, we appreciated the timely communications from the hosts. They made us feel very welcome to what felt like a true home rather than a rental. All rooms were large and very comfortable for our extended family.
We plan to return and highly recommend this home to others looking for a great experience in Rehoboth Beach.
This house is clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. It is a little farther from the beach than i imagined, but the house was also cleaner and more comfortable then I anticipated. Very high ceilings which made the space feel huge, and a gem of a back porch. Furniture is very comfortable. Also, nestled in a beautiful neighborhood. You wont regret renting this property. We will be back again for sure!!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Amy’s house! It was very clean and big and even nicer than the photos. Communication and instructions were great and very clear. Perfectly located for kids to walk to the park/playground and several coffee shops and restaurants. From the parking passes to the strollers, Amy had us covered. Excellent host, would definitely stay again!
This house was very clean, spacious, well-equipped and had a lovely outdoor area in the back (screen porch plus deck with dining table). Although it was close to Rehoboth Avenue, it was quiet and serene in the back. We used the parking passes to drive to Deauville beach every day, which was easy and convenient. Finally, the owner was very responsive and helpful in terms of check-in and check-out times. Definitely looking to book again for next year!
This property was one of our favorites so far! The home is stocked with a lot of the nuisance items you have to purchase for a short stay; garbage bags, dishwasher pods, shampoos, etc. Lots of herbs and spices that saved some stress of what to pack for potential meals while we were there. The owner is accommodating and responsive to messages on the few occasions that we did need to touch base. The home is lovely and every room is spacious. It's very much in walking distance to the main drag of shopping and restaurants. The quieter beach area of Deauville is the way to go and the provided parking passes meant that parking was free and much easier than the beach on the boardwalk. I would highly recommend this property and area!!
Amy has a wonderful home which is perfect for a family. It is only a 15 minute walk to the beach and equally close if not closer to many great restaurants. We had a couple minor issues but nothing to knock the house/owner about. Checkout process a bit more onerous than other vacation rentals.
Would recommend!
Beautiful and Spacious with Privacy and Convenience
My close friends and family members just concluded a most memorable 4 day weekend at 98 Sussex and can’t wait to return. The house is beautiful and spacious and easily accommodated the ten of us. For privacy and convenience, each of the four bedrooms has lots of space with high ceilings, plentiful closets and a lovely private bathroom.
What makes this house so special is that the common space is also beautifully appointed, with plentiful room to lounge, dine, pre-game and celebrate. All of the accessories including kitchen essentials, the barbecue grill, washer/dryer, beach chairs and towels, toiletries and even extra on street parking passes are all provided. We also spent many hours enjoying the outdoor patio fully screened to protect us from any mosquitoes.
Finally, while the house is on a lovely tree shaded side street, it is a very short two minute walk to the main street in town, Rehoboth Avenue. Kudos to Amy and the kind folks that take care of this gem of a vacation home.
