Kookaburras looks North over the sparkling and protected waters of Duck Arm and includes your own small private beach and a private jetty that can accommodate vessels up to 40’. Kangaroos visit the front yard most days. The birdlife is prolific, and the jetty is perfect for catching a Bream. Very few select properties are located on Banksia Peninsula with drive time to Bairnsdale or Paynesville less than 15 minutes – about the same by boat. Perfect for families and friends who enjoy nature and privacy but close to all of the magnificent attractions that the Gippsland Lakes have to offer.

Our stay in Kookaburras

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I booked "Kookaburras", as the rental property is known, over Xmas 2020, for a family get-together.When we got there, we were pleasantly surprised to find, apart from the usual tea, coffee and milk, a loaf of fresh bread and a jar of local raw honey waiting for us. The location was ideal. It was quiet and peaceful with access to a lake - which one of my sons made good use of with a Zodiac which he had brought up.The house was well appointed: four generous bedrooms, with the main one with an en-suite and a large living/dining area with an outlook onto the garden. While the location can be described as remote, shopping was 15 minutes away in Paynesville and 20 minutes away in Bairnsdale (which offers the a very large Woolworths)We had a fabulous time and we thoroughly recommend Kookaburras to those interested in nature, comfort and a convivial place to stay.
