Beautiful house, well equipped in a gorgeous remote location yet close enough to visit a variety of vineyards.
The owner was very hospitable and a wealth of local knowledge. We will most definitely return!

Thank you for your comment.
It was a pleasure having you at my place.
You’ll be welcome back for more insight of Burgundy’s wine tasting as well.
This is our third time staying at Jean-Philippe‘s gîte. We love the countryside setting but ease of getting to all the lovely places in Côte d’Or. Jean-Philippe is an exceptional host and easy to communicate with. The cottage’s kitchen is full equipped, it has wonderful showers, and the excellent location is one of the highlights.
We hope to stay many more times in this lovely cottage. Merci Jean-Philippe! Until next time, we bid you adieu!
If you are looking for peace, tranquility, and a babbling stream then this is your gite! M. Le Fils is an exceptional host and the location is everything we wanted... I am so happy that we returned. We enjoyed quiet days and trips into the nearby cities/villages of Beaune, Nuit St. George, Corgoloin, Volnay, .... Pour moi, Parfaite!

Thank you Teresa, it was a pleasure to welcome you again.
My place will be ready for your next trip to France whenever you want to come back.
Loved everything about this cozy, clean, beautiful property. A true restored 17th-century mill, yet with all the modern conveniences and super comfortable. Very well-stocked kitchen where you can cook anything. The kids enjoyed running around the property, searching out the cat, picking wildflowers, and exploring the river. We loved having Jean-Phillipe as our host, he was always available to answer questions and tell us more about the history of the property. We'll defintely be back!
This beautifully restored Mill House was a perfect location for our exploration of Burgundy and its many wine regions, towns and cities. The house had all the essentials to cook/live the country life! Kids loved exploring the woodlands and gardens as well as the stream!
Jean-Philippe was a kind, friendly, professional host. He gave as many recommendations of wineries and activities to take part it.
We were sad to leave but hope to head back one day. I’d highly recommend it to all, particularly families.

We had a lovely stay at at Moulin de Cussigny. The house was charming, clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well outfitted with modern appliances and cookware for a family to cook meals. The location was extremely convenient to the town of Beaune, 20 minutes with many excellent restaurants and wineries close by in the Cote du Nuits region. Also the country setting next to a farm, with a stream and fields was so peaceful and charming. Jean Luis, the host was available to answer questions or help with recommendations. The only bit of caution is the third bedroom is the attic so the stairs up to this bedroom are steep. Overall a lovely stay in an incredible part of the world.
This is a lovingly renovated old barn that the owner Jean Philippe clearly devoted a lot of time and attention. It is located in a pastoral setting that is very quiet and peaceful. It is a 20 minute drive to Beaune so a car is absolutely essential as there is nothing else close by for things like groceries.. It has a very French vibe to it and you do get a sense of history here.
The gite has a well stocked kitchen and the water pressure for showers and cleaning is the best we've ever experienced.
Jean Philippe is an excellent host and very approachable. All in all an ideal getaway for up to 6 people, perhaps 8 if 2 are children. Do note that the 3rd floor bedroom is reachable via a set of steep stairs.
At the time we were there it was quite buggy due to a wet spring so we were unable to enjoy the outside. The only thing to point out is that the pictures on the website are out of date but Jean Philippe said he would update.the website with new pictures.

In the heart of the Cote d'Or
The perfect vacation home for us! We were delighted to spend 11 days at the Moulin to explore the wine, food and history of Bourgogne. The property is magnificent, and greatly exceeded our expectations. Very spacious and tastfully restored, it had every amenity we could possible want or need. We especially love to prepare our own meals, and the kitchen was superbly equipped. The city of Beaune is only 15 minutes by car, and the Saturday market was a delight. With each dinner we enjoyed a different wine from the area. Wine lovers, rejoice! We were captivated by our wanderings through the towns and vineyards and utilized the services of owner Jean-Philip LeFils for a memorable full day of visits, tastings and meeting vignerons. It was indeed the highlight of our stay. The area has so many sites of historic importance, and we particularly enjoyed a visit to the Abbey of Citeaux, which was not far. There are many fine restaurants within a short distance. Following each day's adventure, we looked forward to the peace and calm of the Moulin, and we woke up after a restful sleep to the sound of birds chirping. Merci, Jean-Philip, for helping make our vacation one of the best we've ever had!

Thank you so much, Marguerite and Jim, for your kindness and interest in the life and history of our region, the work and tradition of the winegrowers you've met and of course their wines.
I really enjoyed your company and hope to see you again soon. As promised.

Absolutely fantastic. Thank you for an unforgetable holiday.
We had a wonderfull, relaxing stay with the family in the "Moulin de Cussigny"
The gïte is magnificent, and greatly exceeded our expectations. Very spacious and tastfully restored.
I slept like an angel in the comfortable beds and you wake up with the sound of birds chirping and the sound of the leaves in the wind.
All comfort is availlable and like real Burgundy people from Flanders we like to prepare fine meals and the kitchen was superbly equipped for it.
Although the Gîte is situated in the middle of nature, a bit remote, the city of Beaune is only 15 minutes by car.,
The area has so many sites of historic importance, and a lot of opportunities for wine-tasting. Our holiday was too short, we will have to return.
There are many fine restaurants within a short distance (best to book upfront, for the better ones !)
We had alternate days of visits and the day after we were looking forward to the peace and calm of the Moulin in the garden, with the sound of the birds , the river (very refreshing or sitting on the cosy bench near the small waterfall)
Merci, Jean-Philip, for letting us enjoy this piece of heaven. Good luck with the restoration of the bakery oven !
I'm convinced we will return ! Next time, longer !
Alles was perfect.
Traumhafter, erholsamer Urlaub in idyllischer Lage.
