My family and I stay in Twin Lakes every year and ski at ski cooper. This was our first year in the Kranz home and we will be staying here from now on. Exceptional host and beautiful home. The views are amazing! Thank you again Chelsea
The location is perfect, house was great. Per the other reviews you do have to cross a road to get to the lake but the entire view was still worth it. Great access to Leadville and Buena Vista. We will defiantly stay here again!
The view of the lakes from the picture windows is breathtaking. A very nice home - very open and well constructed. This is the second time we have stayed at this property.

Hi George! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Thanks so much for choosing our place to stay not once but two times! We are so glad you enjoyed our house so much.
Ten of us in my family and extended family had a incredible stay here. It was a wonderful place to relax after skiing all day and the views are absolutely amazing.

Beautiful location, very convenient to many outdoor activities. The house felt fresh and clean, had comfy beds, and all the kitchen amenities you’d need. The board games were an added bonus that we all enjoyed after a day outdoors! Our family of 5 loved staying here!

Amazing views in Twin Lakes
We had a great stay at this home in Twin Lakes, CO! Inside the house was very comfortable and spacious. Bedrooms, living room, and kitchen were all very nice and had everything we needed. The living room had huge windows opening up to the lakes and mountains. The deck outside overlooking the Lakes was amazing as well. You can’t go wrong staying here! We hope to be back sooner than later!
This house was everything we needed and wanted it to be for the busy Leadville race weekend. House sits at a perfect distance from Twin lakes and Leadville. House was clean and had great amenities.

Response from owner: "Thank you, Dave! We are glad you were satisfied with your stay."
Loved this house and, especially, the location. Communication with owners/managers was great. Could use a bit more kitchen equipment and better pillows - but those are the only constructive things I can think of!
if you are looking for quiet down time, this is your place, the view is magnificent, almost no traffic. The house is spacious and inviting. We had a wonderful girls weekend.
The views are spectacular, the property is spacious and as described. We loved the deck and fire pit area. I was able to hike part of the nearby Interlaken Trail and our family enjoyed many local activities like hot springs, horseback riding and Independence Pass. Would definitely come back again!
We enjoyed a few days in Twin Lakes as a family. We all live in different places and this Twin Lakes house was a great place to stay and spend time together. The house is spacious and the view from the dining table simply can’t be beat. We look forward to coming back next year.
A pleasant, clean, well-kept property with a view to die for. We have stayed in the Twin Lakes area many times and this home has a view of the lakes that is perfect. WE good watch the weather roll through and the sun rise and set over the water. A wonderful property.
We were in Colorado for the Leadville mountain bike race. Our family had a wonderful time and loved this house. We have a 2 year old grandson and having a pack and play and highchair was an added help. The communication with the property manager was top rate. We would gladly stay there again!!

Breathtaking views, beautiful home!
We so enjoyed our stay at Twin Lakes MLH! Everything was as depicted and we just loved waking up to the view. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The host communicated quickly and made sure our stay was going well. We were able to hike, hot springs, horse back ride, visit Aspen and go over Independence Pass. 10/10 would visit this property again. Thank you!

From the owner: "Hi Lea! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for this excellent review!"
This home was perfect for our stay in Colorado! My husband did the Leadville 100 Trail MLB and this home couldn't have been better for our family. The views are better than the pictures, the house has everything you may need, and it's close enough to Leadville yet far enough to have a quiet space. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. We appreciated the open layout and the big kitchen to cook our own meals and we loved sitting outside in the red Adirondack chairs to enjoy the views and the mountain air. If we come back to this area, we would for sure stay here again!
We love Twin Lakes and loved, loved the chance to stay in a home with a view of them! With hiking just around the corner and weather warm enough to float on the lake, and watching the sun set and stars emerge...it was magical. We'd gladly return! That said, note that the road would be challenging in winter--when they say you need 4WD, they mean it. Probably chains too. And the home is nice inside, but walls/floors seem to have little insulation...so you'll hear your family above you/beside you.

Hi Lisa!
Thanks for choosing our home to stay in, and we are so glad you enjoyed your time there!
I’m not sure which road you took to get to the house, but there is an AWD switchback road that is challenging that we encourage our guests to avoid; there is another road to access that is well maintained and easier to drive, although 4WD is definitely recommended in the winter to make sure you can get up the hill on our road :)

Lovely Home/Gorgeous Views
This is a modern chalet/cabin which is well equipped/supplied, beautifully decorated, well maintained, with owners who are responsive to texts. It is not "lakefront" (meaning it's not right at the edge of the lake). The house is perched on a hill (which gives great views), and down the hill there is a road between the house and lake -- but nothing blocks the view, and the road was far enough down the hill that we didn't hear traffic noise. It was a very positive experience and we would definitely like to stay there again.
It is easy to get to the area, but note that the final back roads into the property are small dirt roads and somewhat steep in places. We felt it added to the privacy and charm of the place, but feel it would be good for renters to know that it would be easier to navigate if one arrived the first time in daylight.

Outstanding Place!
This is exactly what we needed to slow down and breathe. The views of Twin Lakes from this home are STUNNING! This home was very clean and had plenty of “extras” to make guests comfortable and happy. The master bedroom had a very comfortable mattress with perfectly weighted blankets. We both slept like babies and truly had time to rest and regroup. We brought all our food into this home. The kitchen had ample room to cook and enjoy cooking together. We loved sitting at their beautiful kitchen table and looking out at the incredible view. Lots of games were played at this kitchen table together. The heat worked so well in each different zone. We liked how different areas could be controlled by us. The fireplace was a heat producing machine, which we loved. It was great looking outside from the first level (super cold outside when we visited) and never feeling cold inside. The owners were quick to respond to anything that was needed. Very friendly and helpful owners! It was hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful place. We are hoping to come back when time allows.
Nice house with a great view of the peaks at Twin Lakes. Nice open floor plan was great for cooking and playing games. We were visited by deer right outside the main windows which topped off the fun weekend.
