Perfect cabin nestled outside of town but close to so many things. The cabin had just about anything you would need plus some! We loved that our dog had room to run, was able to have a campfire in the evening and ability to grill outside! Only negative is the water odor! Check in was fairly easy but it can be a little confusing as AI is the main person responding and then it gives you the host contact. Otherwise we loved the place and will be back if we are in the area again!

Great place to stay

The cabin was so clean well maintained. We were very comfortable while staying there. I highly recommend this place for a vacation. Not far from several places to visit. Loved it.

Great for the price. There is the sulfur smell of the water, but that's typical for the area. Not much he can do about that without expensive filtering solutions. That said it made showers pretty unpleasant and the water undrinkable. Otherwise its a great little cabin in the county! My kids loved the trail and my wife and I loved the quite out there. Loved all the oil lamps and the firewood was ready to go. The big grill was pretty much dead but the small one worked just fine. All in all its a great rustic location with lots of appeal! Star gazing from the front porch is perfect!

Good cozy stay. Dogs loved it.

My girlfriend and i decided for a last minute trip to the UP and we picked this cabin. Very nice location not too far from Escanaba for a beach town kinda vibe. We seen a lot of water falls while up there as well. The host is fast to reply and very easy to communicate with. Good hunting cabin or base camp for sight seeing. Thanks again for a good trip!

Neat, clean remote. Great place to kick back and do nothing. Water has typical oder (tannins) for the area. Water pressure is very low.

UP Fly Fishing Camp

Overall property was good, in fact property was better than appeared in photos online. Property was clean and comfortable for the three of us and an unexpected visitor. Owner had a very nice touch with about 5-6 clear glass jars on the kitchen table full of sweets, candy, chocolates, mints, etc. Only 2 complaints, water pressure was very weak and fees added to rental rate were very excessive. .

Needs some work

Water pressure is terrible, flies and lady bugs are out of control for march, water smells of sulfer, driveway wasnt plowed, and seemed pricey for what it was. Pictures dont do justice for how run down it is

UP Fishing Camp Stay was Great!

Property was actually nicer than photos on-line showed, so that was a pleasant surprise. There was just three of us and a 4th visitor. There was plenty of room for all of us and we where only a 10 minute drive down to the Escanaba River where we were fishing every day. My only complaint was water pressure was very weak , so it took a couple of minutes to fill a coffee pot, not a big deal. Owner had a very nice touch by setting out several clear jars on the kitchen table full of sweets, mints, chocolates, etc. My only other complaint is that the VRBO actual price was 60% more than the published base rate, after all the fees and taxes. Fees were excessive. Even though we liked the place, unless fees are reduced, we will be staying elsewhere next year.

Rustic Cabin

Cabin was cozy and had the right vibe. There were hundreds of black flies with no fly management tools available. Should at least have some traps or sticky tape out. The water was very stinky and the hot water has extremely low pressure and tasted awful, so bring your own. Also the gas grill they brag about has no propane cylinder so you'll want to bring that as well. There are also no garbage cans in the driveway, so you will have to haul your stuff out or risk getting hit with an extra charge for not "taking the garbage out" as described in the checkout process. The price is very high for all the issues but if they could manage the flies, fix the water and have a propane cylinder it would be perfect. The location is very awesome.
