The Space:

A simple, comfortable older lakeside house at Lake Tarawera - honest and unpretentious, but a relaxed, good-value base for a lake getaway. It's set up over two floors. Downstairs, the kitchen, dining and living area are open-plan and open onto a deck, handy for a barbecue in the evening, and there are two bedrooms on this level (a queen and a twin) plus the bathroom. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a queen bed and its own deck with views over Lake Tarawera to Mt Tarawera. It's a peaceful, no-frills spot, just a walk from the lake and a short drive from the Stoney Point boat ramp - well suited to fishing, boating and easy lake days.

Guest Access:

You'll have the whole house and grounds to yourselves - all three bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen, dining and living areas, and the deck with its BBQ. Upstairs, the master has its own deck with views over Lake Tarawera to Mt Tarawera. There's free parking on-site.



The Neighborhood:

Lake Tarawera is a peaceful lake southeast of Rotorua, a favourite for fishing, boating and swimming. The Stoney Point boat ramp is a short drive away for easy access to the water, and it's a quiet, mostly-residential pocket that feels a world away. Central Rotorua, with its restaurants, shops and geothermal attractions, is about 24 minutes' drive, and Blue Lake (Tikitapu) is around 11.



Getting Around:

A car is essential out here, with free parking on-site including a garage. By car, Blue Lake is about 11 minutes away, the Redwoods around 20, and central Rotorua and the airport roughly 24 to 26. The Stoney Point boat ramp is just a short drive for getting out on the lake.

A quick, honest heads-up: this is a simple, older lakeside house rather than a flash one - clean and comfortable, and good value for a relaxed lake stay.
