This property was the perfect place for our young family. The house was very clean with everything you need for a long weekend. It truly felt like you were staying at someone’s house instead of a commercial rental. Great views and close to boat rental.
True description. Beautiful home, loved the lake and kayaking. Very nice.

My wife and I had a lovely week with our school-age children and my parents. We swam off the dock, paddled kayaks, and rented a pontoon from a local marina. We also enjoyed hiking at the nearby Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and rafting the Nanthahala River with guides from the Nanthahala Outdoor Center near Bryson City.

Motorcycle trip, home base!
We arrived at the cottage around 5:00pm on the 18th. Honestly the house and property were even more than I expected. Everything you need to know is in the, well written welcome package. Only, you have to read it. lol!I made that mistake but the owner Tony couldn’t have been more understanding. He is assessable beyond what I would consider normal. With immediate answers to any questions. Besides that, the beauty of the cottage, along with the exceptionally clean interior and outside areas, then add in the beauty of the lake, then everything there that is available for you to enjoy…it’s above and beyond! I could go on but I’ll stop. Don’t miss this Emerald Cove if you are planning a stay in this area. (Did I mention the huge two car garage)?…
We just returned home after spending 6 wonderful days at Tony's home. It feels like a home and not a vacation rental. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are comfortable, plenty of places for everyone to hang out and still have some space to themselves. We loved that there were kayaks and a paddleboard, along with lake toys and beach towels. They have really thought of everything to make your stay amazing. I'm going to miss the view from the upstairs deck in the morning. There's lots to do in the area in terms of hikes or daytrips. Tony was very responsive and a great host. Do yourself a favor and book a stay. You won't regret it.
We had a great time at this cottage! The house was stocked with lots of games, puzzles, DVDs and fun things for the lake. We loved all the kayaks and paddle board. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook and bake. We especially loved that there were two mini fridges for extra cold storage. The split floorplan was perfect for our group -- my husband, two kids and I stayed on the bottom floor while the other 4 adults took the upstairs rooms. That was great for keeping the kids from waking everyone in the morning since we had a mini fridge, TV and our own bathroom down there. Our favorite spot, though, was the upstairs back porch with views of Lake Santeetlah! We were sad to leave!
Tony was a wonderful host, and quick to answer any questions or problems we had. The property was perfectly located on the lack and a close drive to additional fishing, and hiking. Beautiful views each morning and evening from the porch!!
If you are wondering if this is a good place to book…allow us to answer: YES! From the moment you walk in you will feel at home away from home…only better because of the beautiful lake. The house is perfectly furnished…beautiful decks and a perfect place to swim, kayak, and fish off the dock. The owners are great to communicate with and you can sense the house is loved. Stop searching and book it!
We wanted to find a place in Robbinsville close to Deals Gap. This popped up in a recommendation, and it was perfect for our trip. The host responded to our questions quickly and efficiently. The check in process was straight forward and painless. The garage was big enough to accommodate 6 motorcycles, all of which were touring bikes. Goldwings, Indians, Can Am, K1600 and Yamaha Star liner. We couldn't have been happier with the property and our trip was a big success.

Awesome stay, responsive host, nice and cozy.
The stay was one of the best places I've stayed. The cottage is fully stocked up with utensils and dishes, games and a very large garage. The cottage is very easy to get to and the view of the lake is super nice. Will stay again in the future!

Total Relaxation on the Lake
The home was beautiful and comfortable. My husband surprised me with a weekend for mothers day since our children are in Florida. I was so surprised and it was exactly what we needed. We acted like two 45 year old kids jumping in the lake, boating and just enjoying the beauty of the area. We will definitely be back! The home is well equipped for dining in and grilling out. The bed was comfortable and we didn't have a need for anything that wasn't supplied. This would be a great place to bring our kids next time.
This place was perfect for our weekend kayak fishing trip on Lake Santeetlah. The dock made for easy access to the lake, and the house was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The deck was awesome for relaxing with gorgeous views of the lake. And we loved the tavern at Tapoco Lodge about 10 minutes away. Tony was an amazing host, too! We will definitely be back.
