My family and I had a fantastic stay at "Painted Skies" Lake Burton. The house is beautiful, well appointed, and convenient to many activities we were interested in. Barbara, the host, was friendly, responsive and very helpful. We highly recommend these accommodations if you are visiting this beautiful North GA area and would stay again at the first opportunity.

This is a perfect house for a family get away! The outdoor space is amazing- the fire pit and hot tub are perfect for hanging out! The downstairs with the ping pong table kept everyone entertained during the rain. The master bed is so comfortable! Really loved our time at Painted Skies and can’t wait to book again!

Long weekend

We enjoyed our stay! It rained 2 days we were there but still enjoyed being stuck at the house. The games/game room was a great occupation for us. The kids absolutely loved staying down there to play and have time on their own.

Much Needed Weekend Getaway

This is a beautiful home conveniently located in close proximity to Lake Burton and Clayton, GA. We found numerous wonderful places to visit and plenty of good food. In the evenings we enjoyed the large covered back porch and watching movies on the 80 plus inch TV, located downstairs by the ping pong table. We look forward to visiting again!

Painted Skies is Perfect!

We spent Father's Day weekend in Painted Skies. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was how clean the house was. It was like we were the first people in the house! The house was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well-apportioned with everything you need to fix meals. If you desire access to the lake, there are 2 boat launches within 3 miles of the house (plus room to park a trailer at the house). There is a public beach only a mile away and Anchorage Marina rents pontoon boats. Painted Skies was a great find!

Sibling trip

I booked this house for a weekend get away with my siblings and our spouses. The house is beautiful and comfortable and had everything that we needed to prepare meals. The only thing that we didn’t live was the church pew in the main living area for seating. When we were in the house, it was so hot outside that we had to sit indoors and the bench was not very comfortable. Luckily, we didn’t need it often as we stayed busy playing golf and going to the lake!

Look no further... From the moment our family turned onto the driveway we knew we'd made the correct accommodation choice. Located in the north Georgia mountains, Painted Skies provides an oasis of comfort in any season. Being centrally located, our options for day adventures were seemingly unlimited. For those wanting to remain indoors and obtain a respite from city hustle & bustle or summer's warm temperatures, Painted Skies provides that space needed for family or friends to build life-long memories. With nearby grocery stores, the well stocked kitchen can handle whatever the need - sandwiches to gourmet dishes. The beds in both bedrooms provided a pampered touch allowing me to wake well-rested and refreshed. In case you're wondering, No, this isn't a "paid" review - these are the sentiments of a family having just visited for a week.

Lovely Home for My Family

Our family decided at the last minute to book a weekend getaway. This home was perfect for me and my family. We have two young boys who enjoyed playing chess, ping pong and the movie/gaming room. My husband enjoyed relaxing on the porch and fire pit. Personally, I’m a big fan of home renovations, decor and art. The details that went into this house are amazing! Well done! Everything is also well labeled and home is well stocked. Location is close to several great hiking trails and Clayton. If I could offer one suggestion, we like to unpack and put our clothes in drawers, so dressers would be a nice addition. The homeowner reached out directly and the communication was great. Highly recommend this home!!! Thank you!!!

Great Home Base in the Mountains!

This is a great place to stay for a home base in the mountains. The drive to get there is pleasant on a two-way paved road and there are red reflective driveway markers if you're coming at night. (The gravel driveway has just a slight descent upon turning onto it but nothing scary like some places we've stayed in the area.) I printed a map of the crossroad as instructed in case we needed it but our GPS picked up the precise location. Some highlights: - This is a newer build so it smells & looks like a beautiful new home upon entering - The large kitchen table is great for playing board games/cards - The couch is extremely comfortable & there are plenty of pillows for extra comfort - The master bed is comfortable & the luggage racks (two) are a nice added touch - The master bathroom is nice and the vanity is spacious with ample drawers for toiletries - Barbara has provided all the fun and relaxation with the ping pong table, soccer ball, volleyball, frisbee, gaming system, tv's, books, chess board, and the gas fireplace table on the main level balcony is wonderful in the evening Some things to note: - There is only one bedroom on the main level - If you will be cooking - the knives are dull, there aren't any storage containers/storage bags/foil, the pots & baking sheet were dirty so we had to clean them first - There was ample dust under the master bed and the queen bed (basement) - The two ping pong balls were both broken but we received new ones the next day

We loved painted skies. The home is so well done ❤️ plenty of space comfy beds and nice outdoor areas too!!! The kids Ofcourse loved the downstairs with the media room and ping pong. Nice decor and easy to check in clear instructions etc….. The owner Barbara Contacted us shortly before we checked in and was available via text or phone through our stay

Amazing stay!

This place was the perfect getaway in a county that has a lot to offer. The home had absolutely everything you would need from shampoo to paper plates to kitchen utensils. Barbara was so easy to contact with any concerns and just for checking in! We enjoyed the board games downstairs and wish we could’ve enjoyed playing in the yard and the outdoor fire pit!

Soooo....Excellent!!

This home met all our expectations and more. Clean, spacious, well equipped and inviting. We spent a long weekend at Painted Skies for my husband's birthday. He had requested a weekend at the lake and this home was perfect. Plenty of room to park our boat and vehicles. Painted Skies is a very short drive to a boat ramp as well as restaurants, a small market and other activities. Although we had a good bit of rain during our stay, no problem, the upstairs deck was dry and inviting and the theater room and ping pong table in the downstairs was great. Communication with the Evolve management team was not great but the owner was in touch to give assistance if needed from the first day of our visit. Don't love the cameras, but . . . . . We would DEFINITELY recommend this home and hope to visit again.

This was our first time in the Clayton/Tiger area. The house is in a perfect location. Far enough away for peace and quiet but close enough to things to do and places to eat. This house has something for everyone. A wonderful covered deck on the main (there is also an awesome speaker on this level) and ground floors for rainy afternoons, a media room (with a PS 4) which was a hit with everyone and a ping pong table. The house was very clean and the beds were super comfy. The owners tried to think of everything, even candles for the soaking tub and a welcome package when you first walk in the door. The house is so new you can still smell the new construction smell! These reviews speak for themselves. If you are looking for a great house, in a great location with great owners then put the deposit down and be ready for a great time away from home with family! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great Cabin

I stayed in this cabin with my wife and our 5 boys (ages 4-16). The house is very well appointed and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. In addition, the house is new, so all the furnishing are in tip top shape. The boat launch at Lake Burton is about 2 miles away which was super convenient. The cabin has ample parking, so keeping our boat and a couple vehicles there was easy. Overall a great stay.

We could not have asked for a better experience! Painted Skies was absolutely beautiful and loaded with everything you need for your stay. Super clean and cozy! Comfortably slept 3 couples. We especially loved the back porch and fire pit areas and spent most of our time outside. Great location! Close to Lake Burton and Clayton.
