We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House. It had everything we needed and then some. The hostess was gracious and very helpful. We'd enjoy coming again.
This was such a wonderful property. Tucked away in the mountains, but only a short drive to downtown Asheville. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy place to stay near Asheville.
This place was absolutely incredible! There was a nice bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival and the place truly sits amongst the most gorgeous trees during fall. The hospitality was very impressive and it was a short drive to town and hikes! We will definitely be returning to experience it again!
Remote feel but close to restaurants, grocery stores, downtown Asheville, etc. Saw a momma bear and 3 cubs on the road - so cute. Perfect size for a couple. We spent a week there and had short drives to mountain biking and kayaking. Would stay there again.
I loved driving to this secluded location. It was like staying in a beautiful tree house! It was just the kind of place my husband and I were looking for: quiet, away from main roads, surrounded by forest, but also an easy drive into town. The host was lovely and very accommodating. I would happily stay here again.
This place is perfect for a solo or couple getaway. The hostess has a personal note and bottle wine to welcome me. It was clean, had all the comforta of home, and you could drive or Uber to everything else by: hiking, arts, Asheville and Biltmore. I will stay here again when I do a mom getaway.

Forest Getaway
We spent an incredible week at Treetops, a one to two person cozy getaway buried in the North Carolina woods at the top of a winding road. The property is impeccably furnished, carefully maintained, and situated a short drive away from the Blue Ridge Parkway with access to hikes and stunning views. In the other direction and twenty minutes away, lies Asheville. The owners have thought of everything and were most welcome and attentive during our stay. We would definitely return.

Quite Comfort Stay
We spent a week at this home and enjoyed a peaceful unplugged stay, although we did mange to take advantage of the WIFI to check in with the world periodically. The home was well stocked with all the necessities including kitchen utensils & small appliances (drip coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, dish washer) and a clothes washer and dryer. The host was very responsive and was quick to respond to our questions. Overall we had a great week with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway trails and local events. Thanks for the memories and a week of respite from the high heat of Texas!
Wonderful location a mile from the Blue Ridge PWKY and 15 minutes to downtown Asheville. Beautiful surroundings, clean well maintained property. The owners were very quick to respond to an issue we had and was rectified very quickly! 10/10 recommend!
My wife had business to attend so this was not really a vacation getaway. Since I work from home this was a perfect place and I didn't have to burn a vacation day. The internet was fast enough that I had no issues conducting business. It's close enough to Asheville for evenings out but far enough away for mountain privacy. Saw a bear in the backyard our last evening.

Thank you Malcolm and Ruth Ann for Sharing Treetops with us!
This comfortable carriage house apartment is truly in the “tree tops” in a serene mountain forest setting. While it’s nestled in the trees on a (fairly) quite mountain road, it’s only 15 minutes to downtown Asheville and all it has to offer. (Note that the last mile to the rental is on a gravel road.)
Another mile up the gravel road is an entrance to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, making it very convenient to hop on the Parkway for a scenic drive or access to Asheville, Black Mountain, or many other destinations.
You can also get some exercise by walking to the Parkway entrance, enjoying the gentle uphill grade, numerous switchbacks, and views of the forest, mountain vistas, and some awesome houses along the way. A great way to start your day!
The owners, Malcolm and Ruth Ann, live in the main house next door and were friendly (without being obtrusive) and were happy to provide tips including their favorite restaurants and scenic routes to town. They were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay at Tree Tops!

Great Place for a Stay
Our main reason for coming to Asheville was to again visit the Biltmore. Treetops was a fantastic place to stay. Very clean, well taken care of, and beautifully nestled in the mountains, but it was not hard to get to our daily events in town. The owner Malcolm greeted us on our arrival and offered recommendations on eating, etc., which was a nice touch along with a bottle of Biltmore wine waiting for us on the kitchen island!
One suggestion: have the cleaning crew take it easy on the use of fabric softener/soft water as the towels were so treated that they would not absorb water and it took quite an effort to dry off after a shower!
We highly recommend Treetops and will try to secure it the next time we are in Asheville.
