On the outside, you'll appreciate the thoughtful placement among the trees, ferns, and ponds that make Fernstone so special; but when you step foot inside, that is when the magic really begins. In fact, when you aren't exploring the grounds and taking in the natural beauty of the Laurel Highlands, you'll be spending your time trying to figure out the craftsmanship that went into weaving the heavy oak timbers together to form the reciprocal rafter roof structure. And this is a type of construction that is rare indeed! Conveniently inherent in the design, is the opportunity for the stunning clear glass dome over the bed that allows you to gaze at the stars as you drift off to sleep. Couple getaway

This was a nice little getaway for a few days.Enjoyed the falls and hiking. The hot tub at our site was great for relaxing after a day of exploring the are.

Hobbit House Stay

The check-in and check-out process were both super easy, all the information was sent in advance for our stay and communication was excellent. We were given the option to extend our stay in advance if we wanted, there were optional add ons. Easiest process ever! The stay was amazing, everything was just as described at the Hobbit Hut! Loved our stay!

Whimsical glamping

This cottage/cabin in the woods is adorable and my teen and I loved watching the night sky and the storms through the glass ceiling. The hot tub overlooking the pond was great.

The property was quaint and remote, and it was exactly what we had hoped it would be. The time we spent was short, but we enjoyed everything from sitting outside out by the pond through the woodworking of the house. I would recommend this to anyone, and especially those who are Lord of the Rings fans!

Nice little Hobbit house

It was a cozy and clean room to stay in. Very cool architecture. The hot tub was a plus. A lot of things to see and do nearby, with a nice choice of restaurants within 15 minutes.

We had a great time at the Hobbit House! Place was clean, tidy, and smelled great! Not sure if this is typical, but firewood was placed in the fire pit ready to be started. Only downside is it was difficult to keep the bugs out.

Anniversary get away

This was such a perfect place for my husband and I to get away for our anniversary. Check in was easy and the instructions were clear. Mid week getaway

The Hobbit House was every bit as charming as I hoped it would be. The grounds surrounding were just lovely. Lots of nature oriented things to do. We had a great time.
