The cottage was very nice. We and our grandkids loved the beach area. It was a bit rocky when you first get in, but gets much better the further you go in. The cottage had everything we needed and everything in the description.

Beautiful property - unobstructed views of Round Lake on one end, with a great trail through the forest at the other end of the property. Cottage is comfortable, clean and has that classic cottage feel.

Nice property on a beautiful and quiet lake

We very much enjoyed our stay. Cottage was comfortable and the front lawn was great for playing games. We took advantage of the area's attractions such as local antique car show, biking, hiking and the Bonnechere caves. The lake is very clean and clear and was great for swimming. I would recommend the provision of a microwave and bath towels to make it even better. Overall was a great value.

We had mostly rainy weather, but the cottage is in a beautiful surroundings and has a great view of the lake. There are several seating arrangements for outside enjoyment. The deck is spacious and only a few stairs away from the huge patio. The stairs are helpful to get into the lake. The covered veranda was our best protection from moscitos. Beds were very comfortable All amenities were satisfactory, including Internet speed. We went a few times to Barry's Bay, Killaloe and Eganville.

Great location and accommodation

The location is private with beautiful views of Round Lake. Good internet. Close proximity to Bonnechere and Foy provincial park beaches. Several hikes in area. A few restaurants. Not far to Killaloe for a beaver tail and Golden Lake Sand beach resort for a fine diner. I recommend that you shop before you arrive. Barry’s Bay has a Metro with fresh baked goods and produce. Local convenience store offer M&M frozen food selection, beer, wine and liquor in addition to basics. The owner was accommodating and was a pleasure to deal with.

I am from Toronto and have spent summers on Round Lake for many decades. It is very special place with immense natural beauty and serenity. It remains uncommercialized and it situated just east of Algonquin Park. Myself and my family love the lack of busyness , zero traffic and the peace and quiet, lovely loon calls, star lit nights and sparkling pristine waters. Wherever I travel in the world I always want to spend my summers on this lake!!

Why they chose this property

Away from the main road on 2.5 acres with 170' shoreline and still close to amenities. Huge 2.5 acre lot with it's own private trails in the wooded area. Very serene & picturesque. Unobstructed lake views. Insulated 4 season home with expansive lake views. Immaculate!! Very solid well -built home.

Lack of traffic, the area is uncommercialized and a hidden gem!! Great waterfront with hard packed sandy bottom beach area for lovely refreshing dips in the lake!! Friendly people! Huge private lot!!! PRIVACY WITH 170' WATERFRONT . AWAY FROM NEIGHBOURING HOMES. UNCROWDED SETTING. VERY SAFE AREA! NO TRAFFIC!
