The second main floor bedroom has a private bath and walk in closet. The loft area expands the width of the main floor with a trundle bed, bathroom and walk in closet. The loft has plenty of room for additional guest to sleep. Elaborate kitchen make cooking for your family gatherings a breeze. Located next to the kitchen is a half bath, mudroom with washer/dryer. You will find plenty of seating for dining at the table along with kitchen bar seating. The back deck runs the length of the home with plenty of outdoor seating. House was perfect for family vacation. House provided us with a great place to relax after days at Purgatory and site seeing around town. Enjoyed the escape from Texas heat

We had a great time in this beautiful cabin. Enjoyed hearing the river sounds steps from the back deck. Home was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. Cabin was within about 20 minutes from downtown Durango. We enjoyed family time with daughter, son in law and the grandkids.

Perfect Cabin

Honestly the pictures on line don't do it justice. The place and location are stunning. The river is literally right out back and the view out every window is incredible! There is even a sliding door in the Master Bath that goes out to the back deck that I would open every morning while getting ready and listen to the water and nature all around. Not far from city limits of Durango!

A Piece of Colorado Paradise

This VRBO property met all our expectations. The home is beautifully furnished, comfortable, and conveniently located. The back deck offers relaxation in a natural setting for all ages to enjoy. The owner answered all of our questions promptly prior to our arrival. Needless to say, our Colorado vacation was a great success and we would not hesitate to stay at this Durango property again.

This property was wonderful for Thanksgiving with friends. Beautiful location near the river and among the trees. While there are other properties nearby, it faced the river and seemed very secluded. Sunshine on the first day and snow two days later. Thanks to the owners we did not have to shovel ourselves out from 11”! Incredibly well equipped from linens to kitchen equipment to outside seating. One of the best equipped kitchens I have experienced with VRBO and one of the most clean properties upon check in. The owners were responsive before and during our stay. Made for a perfect visit.

Beautiful Setting!

We needed to get away from the scorching Arizona August heat and this was the perfect escape. The weather and the setting were beautiful! The pictures of the back yard do not do it justice!! Our 2 dogs also loved the backyard. The house is private without any neighbors bordering the property. We saw adult and baby deer across the river in the backyard. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need to cook. There is plenty of outdoor seating. We ate most of our meals on the back deck.

First off, there are only 2 bedrooms and not 3! False advertising! The open air, no wall 2nd story loft does not count as a bedroom. We had poor contact with the owner. We didn't receive instructions for property entrance until the last minute and only after we had asked for it several times. When we arrived, the home and property were in disarray and the house hadn't been cleaned. Laundry was piled up in a corner and we had to change out all of the beds ourselves. We had to wash clothes and towels so that we could take a shower after our long drive. We also had to wipe everything down and clean nasty toilets. When we were finally able to get a hold of them, the young and arrogant owner reimbursed us a couple of bucks, but definitely not enough to compensate us for the disgusting manner in which we had to endure. The property does not match the photos. The home and property are in need of repair. Large tarps were thrown about everywhere and every door and dishwasher squawked loudly, either making everyone cringe or waking the rest up early. The two car garage is not usable as the owners have it crammed with two vehicles and all of there junk. The show "Hoarders" needs to visit. It's so tight that even our skinny teenagers struggled to squeeze through to get to the door for entry per the instructions. Really wished we had picked a much better and cleaner property for our stay, especially for the amount they're charging.

We Live in Kansas and enjoy every year spending time in Colorado. We purchased this home to get away with family and friends. Durango is amazing with such a neat downtown with shopping, art studios and great dining. We enjoy outdoor sports and love being a short drive away from the Slopes

Why they chose this property

We bought this home because we wanted a true log home. We loved the idea of being right on the river and having the mountains as our backdrop. The layout of the home is open but yet so cozy with the massive fireplace. This home fit all of our needs with the updates and open floorpan, expansive windows and large kitchen.
