A secluded, classic cabin stay is yours when you book Chez Nous Chalet, a chalet-style home tucked away in woodlands on 1.5 acres. This lovely home away from home is at the bottom of the access road to the new Buzzard Butte Trail Network for mountain biking, and a short drive to endless fun at Pacific City, Whalen Island, and Sandlake. You’ll love the rustic, cedar-lined cabin vibe throughout this special home, but you won’t miss any modern amenities: updates to this sweet home include furnishings, new appliances and TVs for entertainment. Cozy up to a blazing fire in the wood stove as you gather with your guests in the spacious living room and gaze out into the green canopy of trees outside or enjoy the new Tiki bar and a libation. The kitchen is fully equipped for dining at the trestle table; a door to the extended deck with a barbecue grill gives you the option of dining outdoors in a charming covered gazebo. After which, you can enjoy the backyard firepit and hot tub. Two main-level bedrooms share a bath. Upstairs, you’ll find a spacious king bedroom with a cathedral ceiling and private balcony, plus a second bedroom with multiple beds; both share a full bath.

You can hike right out the door into the Siuslaw National Forest for magnificent views of the estuary and Whalen Island. Bald eagles, deer, ducks and other wildlife make their home here, so bring your binoculars. Nearby Sandlake is renowned for its dunes for hiking and motorsports; Pacific City’s popular beach and the Pelican Pub is a short drive away. Delightful house, extremely well stocked kitchen. Beds very comfortable and abundant amenities. Easy access by driving to many hiking areas and good places to eat out. It was an ideal place for 4 of us but easily could have handled more.

Amazing, peaceful property

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely cabin up in the woods. It was beautiful, spacious, and had entertainment for the family. Tv, games, ping pong, and darts! We loved every bit of it. We even got to see a bunny right in the yard.

Views of trees everywhere!

Nice place with great views of the forest, and peeks of the estuary. The sounds of the birds were amazing on the back deck!

Nice place for a weekend getaway

The property is close to the beach, about 5 mins drive and is in a very cozy setting. Well maintained and has most of the required necessities. Communication from the property manager has been really slow, apart from that everything was good.

We had a nice stay. The cabin is very nice all but the kitchen stove it needs a good cleaning or maybe just replaced. We really enjoyed the deck and the outside eating area. It’s a ways from the beach but we didn’t mind. We are coming back in Aug with my sister and her family’

Peaceful

Enjoyed our stay at this place. Very clean and extremely quiet. The only downside for us was not being able to walk the dog on the property as there’s very little usable space. We ended up walking by the side of the road most mornings. Other than that everything was good. My husband was able to get the fire pit going and had some good bbq and smores:) Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful little cabin!

The cabin was lovely. The outside was completely overgrown and the deck needs a lot of work. We thought we had propane and a we were warming up the gas grill for our tri-tip and ran out (super frustrating). We ended up cooking them in the tiniest oven ever(not the same as cooking them on a grill, obviously).The check in processes was a bit much without benning able to get in and having no service. Our overall experience was great though and this area of the Oregon coast is absolutely beautiful! Just be sure to have enough propane before buying expensive cuts of meat.

In the Nik of Time

We were so grateful to find this beautiful little house on such short notice! After planning a big RV camping trip with old friends, we were forced to change plans! On our way from Reno, NV we had a major problem with our trailer. Luckily, our Hillsboro friends could easily shift gears and stay with us instead. It all came together nicely! All the food we planned for camping was prepared in the great kitchen and enjoyed on the patio! It was wonderful and we would stay again. Recommend changing upstairs bathroom light bulb, it’s out. Also, garbage was overflowing on check in. And I had to finish towel laundry after cleaner left.
