Quiet Cozy Getaway
House was exactly as described, nicely updated and very clean. To top that off, it had a beautiful view and was quiet and comfortable, and close to everything we needed. The house was the perfect size for the two of us. Enjoyed the variety of fireworks display across the bay on the Fourth.

It sounds like a quiet cozy getaway is just what you ordered. We like to hear that our guests found a perfect spot and glad you chose to stay at the Stoney House. What a bonus to enjoy fireworks from your own private spot on the lake! Thanks again for staying with us.
Beautiful view and very charming cottage. We have stayed here several times over the years and will keep coming back if we are able to!

It was very clean with a great location. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating, but the wood burning fireplace was nice and cozy.

From the owner: "You will have to come back when the weather is a little more subdued. We promise-it gets better. Northern Michigan is always full of surprises. Thank you so much for being our guest."
Excellent location. Clean, roomy cottage with beautiful artwork and unique hand built tables . Can’t say enough about this wonderful cottage!
Comfy beds too!
We had a wonderful time, in large part due to the cozy setting, which featured a beautiful view of the bay. The amenities were great, whether we were sipping our morning coffee at the breakfast nook, or sipping wine while relaxing in front of a fire. Will look to stay here in the summer next time!

Great Stay!
We had a great week! Loved the cute cottage, the spectacular views, and the quaintness of Stony Point. Kids played on the beach almost every day (great that it was shallow).

From the owner: "How wonderful your family had a great week. When the kids are happy on the beach Mom and Dad are happy too. Thank you so much for being our guest."
Very clean, well-equipped, very welcoming, easy to access, and best feature is being directly on the water with a sandy beach, deck and fire pit! We loved our stay! Washer/dryer in the bathroom is another plus.

Had a nice stay in Suttons Bay. Enjoyed a campfire down on the beach. We were within 30 minutes of everything we wanted to do. Bed was too soft for us, but location was excellent.

This was the perfect place for our small couples’ get-away weekend. Wood stove was amazing and kept us warm, the view was spectacular, and the location couldn’t have been any better. The cottage was spotless, communication was great, and overall we just had an amazing weekend!

Great winter getaway
I’ve stayed at the house twice - both times in winter. It’s beautiful looking over Suttons Bay - lots of diving ducks. The wood stove makes the place cozy! Great location and wonderfully quiet in winter months.
We had a great week! Loved the cute cottage, the spectacular views, and the quaintness of Stony Point. Kids played on the beach almost every day (great that it was shallow). Definitely will return!
We had a great stay. Check in/out was easy and the house was clean and tidy. Even though it was 15 degrees outside, there is a breakfast nook in the kitchen with a full view of the bay, and we spent a lot of time there enjoying the view.
One thing to note is that the bed was quite stiff, which we didn't like.

From the owner: "Thank you so much for staying at the Stoney House. Isn’t the kitchen view of the bay the best! The best place to enjoy your morning coffee. Both beds are relatively new. We understand that some like beds softer though and we will look into how we might improve this."
Love love love the view the gentle waves the ambient color of the water the overall peace Tranquility ducks flying over the water sunsets Chrystal fairy dances on the water. We plan on returning and highly recommend this Utopia
The cottage was amazing. The location was perfect; very convenient to downtown Suttons Bay and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The cottage was very modern and updated. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to a special request. The property was exactly as advertised. The only thing of note is the water is very shallow so you had to walk out quite far to go beyond waist high.

Suttons Bay Stay
Perfect location. Quiet and calm lake living only a short drive from Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, wineries, etc. The view from the deck (and the kitchen) is exceptional, the perfect start and conclusion to each day. We booked off a winter picture of the lake view-it's twice as amazing now.
The cottage is what we expected: quaint, functional, safe, some updates in kitchen and bathroom, washer & dryer on-site, cute bench seating in kitchen looks onto lake. It's definitely a "sleeps four", 2nd bedroom is tiny, but plenty of room for the two of us or a family.
The outside could use a little T.L.C. You're going to spend most of your time here on the deck enjoying the lake, but the furniture is a mishmash of chairs, a table, and a chaise lounge (that needs it's old cushion replaced) clearly just pulled out of the shed without any cleanup. Same for those by the water. A quick wipe down of the deck (and everything on it), pull a couple weeds/clip some branches, maybe relocate the grill closer to the deck (we didn't bother with it), and you have an incredible space.
That aside, we had a great time and the cottage and on our trip. You cannot beat the location and that view!

From the owner: "Thank you so much for staying with us and appreciate your comments. We do have a matching table and chair set with umbrella. The blue chairs are for moving around the property if desired. We do blow off the decks and furnture when inspected before arrival. With the ongoing drought and it being spring in Northern Michigan it is a challenge outdoors when the lack of rain, plus the trees and bugs don't behave. That said we will keep trying harder.."
