The place is beautiful and so peaceful. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. The only negative for us was a very strong fire/smoke smell from the fireplace. It was strongest in the living room and didn’t seem to be so bad in the other rooms.

Kelly did not let us know the smoke smell from the fireplace was bothering them, or we would certainly have tried to do something about it. We have had a lot of rain recently, and after a winter of wood-burning fires, rain getting into the fireplace brings out the smoke smell.
The cabin was clean and nice. We had everything we needed at the cabin. We loved the stream and enjoyed sitting outside listening to the sounds of nature. We took walks up and down the stream just enjoying ourselves. Judy is a very generous host.
Nothing could have prepared us for the beauty of the landscape and the quaintness of a great little cabin. Be prepared to have your breath taken away with the water flowing around you and the mountains covering everything you can see.
Steve and Judy are thoughtful, generous and amazing hosts! Their property is a beautiful, well equipped private mountain getaway. The perfect place to stay when you must reclaim your soul from the noise and madness that society can sometimes bring. The peaceful and constant sound of Sugar Creek babbling over her rocks was a wonderful soundtrack for our stay. The welcome basket was a most pleasant surprise brimming with white wine, sharp cheddar cheese, a cracker assortment and green seedless grapes! The fire pit was stacked and match ready with an ample supply of fire wood to burn through the nights while sipping cocktails, stargazing and chatting. An A stay that we highly recommend!
This place is just what we were looking for. A peaceful and beautiful getaway. The front porch was amazing! The cabin is so cozy. We could have stayed here forever! The sound of the water flowing down the creek was so calming! We enjoyed the fireplace inside the cabin and the firepit out by the creek! Once we arrived we did not leave until it was time to check out! We can’t wait to go back. Also, the host was amazing. She was very quick to respond with any questions we had!
We enjoyed the porch. The view is perfect. I could listened to the creek for hours. There was plenty of room for me and my grown kids to be comfortable.
We had a great stay. The cabin was nicely decorated for Christmas and the host always provides a thoughtful welcome basket for the guests. You can see by reading through the guest books that this is a favorite vacation rental of hundreds of other guests. It will remain one of our favorites, as well. We are so glad the owners chose to share it with others. Can't wait to come during the warmer months to enjoy more of the beautiful property.
It was absolutely so peaceful. There is so much to do in the area but I did not want to leave the cabin. Sitting out under the stars by the fire was amazing. Cannot wait to come back.
I stayed here with a couple of friends, and we had such a nice time! The location is gorgeous, and the kitchen has a great variety of equipment to cook with. Would love to stay here again!
Love the view and all of the amenities on the property. Had great communication with the host. We especially appreciated the Wildacre Duh guide for surrounding areas and gift basket waiting upon our arrival. We can't wait to stay again!
