Our family enjoyed our stay at this lodging. Surrounded by multiple breweries, a bit of a walk from downtown Ballard. Nice amenities. Host checked in with us.
Comfortable, clean, and modern location. Very much appreciated clear communication from host. Beds comfortable, kids slept on pull out. Shower was nice. Everything very clean and in good order. Lovely outdoor sitting area. We were visiting family in Fremont and this was the perfect location, five min away. We would stay here again and recommend to others! It is industrial area mixed in with some breweries. We felt safe, and at the same time, was not an area for walking around. Only 1-2 blocks away, nice park for kids, great coffee shops. Convenient grocery store we appreciated! thank you!
I would say my stay was averagely ok. My biggest complaint here was the very strict 3pm check in time. Most host and even hotels are flexible, and understanding of crazy travel days. This “bungalow” has the sounds of little footprints running on top of your head, so if that’s going to bother you this isn’t the place for you. During our morning breakfast, there was a pretty large spider that my daughter spotted on my back, we packed up and left after that. Overall, average option in the city! We enjoyed the cast iron skillets in the kitchen and large shower.
Perfect place to stay with our rental car. There is a parking space and the location is private. The apartment completely met our needs. The location is great. Everything is easy to get to by car or by walking.
The property was clean and comfortable. I'd only caution those with balance issues: stairs leading down to the bungalow might present a small problem. Other than that, I'd recommend without hesitation.

This stay was very clean, well but not excessively stocked, and eco conscious (which I appreciated). The location was pretty convenient with a Trader Joes nearby for groceries. We considered walking to breweries late one evening but it didn't feel super safe due to the area. That said, the rental felt secure. There were a lot of loud droning noises nearby that wore at us a bit but we didn't have a very long stay so it wasn't a huge deal. It was nice to have a parking space, though it is off an alley, and very tricky to get in or out of if you don't have a compact vehicle. The hosts were very communicative and over all we enjoyed our stay.

The property is as expected...an industrial area with plenty of breweries within walking distance. The bungalow is clean and newly finished. Fyi, the steps leading into it from both the front and back yards are a tripping hazard

Cute. Very quiet. The off street parking is a great perk in Seattle! Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Great shower. The only minor inconvenience was the low ceiling height to the members of our party over 6'. But otherwise a great stay.

Clean, quiet place, just as described. Parking spot a plus. Brewery next door also a plus—otherwise you really need a car to get to most things, but that’s the same for most places in this area—chose in part because it was close enough to relatives. A bargai n—would stay here again

Thankyou for staying with us Kathryn. We appreciate you highlighting what you liked most during your stay. We'll be happy to host your stay again!
the unit was clean and well stocked. The only issues were step to get through the gate was not marked. And almost fell twice. and the listing stated washer dryer available but we were unable to use because we were not staying 7 days. the listing did not state this. we came off a cruise and needed to do 1 load for the weekend and the owner refused to allow this. we also did not find linens and for the sleeper sofa as my friend and i do not sleep together being up front about even small steps allows someone with a handicap know what they are getting.
We came to Seattle to visit our son who lives in Ballard. It was a perfect location. The parking spot was a plus and loved being near the breweries! One of the main reason I chose the Ballard Bungalow was because it stated it had air conditioning but it did not. I messaged the host who told me they were going to look into it but I never got a response. Luckily, it was not a hot week like it was two years ago when we came to Seattle. If it was a hot week, it would have been very uncomfortable.
Pros:
- The unit was exceptionally clean.
- The bathroom was very nice and the shower worked well.
- The reserved, off-street parking made parking something we never had to worry about, even when returning home late.
Cons:
- The unit does not include A/C, which means there is no air movement whatsoever during the summer months. You are also at the mercy of the weather.
- The unit is in need of a pest control treatment (many spiders and some ants in the kitchen).
- The neighborhood is up and coming and there is a homeless problem. The alley does not feel like a safe place due to people living in RVs and spending time near the entrance to it.

Reviewer Comments:
The interior was very nice and well supplied, however, the arrival instructions need significant improvement. Google maps takes you to Arrival at the address, where you find very limited street parking, and so with a brewery next-door, all spaces within a block are full. A stone walkway leads to the back side yard, where rough natural rock “steps” lead to a back courtyard. No rail. No way for me to access the door, much less with luggage. At the end of the block, I discovered a narrow, gravel alleyway, leading to back entrances. Nothing in the information that parking and entrance is in the back via the gravel alley. Only after I pulled into one of the spaces, I did see a small sign that says parking for Ballard bungalow. However, the fence appeared to be locked. After several phone calls to the VRBO helpline, and one hour later, I then had access to the courtyard and the door to rental. No problem getting in, however, the problem in leaving is that the deadbolt doesn’t align well to the door frame, and would not lock back. More positively, the bungalow was well appointed. Suggest mentioning in the description that there is a coffee pot, not just a coffee press, and a hairdryer, for example. It would’ve saved me packing a hairdryer.Neighborhood is a mix of commercial and breweries with a few residential properties mixed in.
