When you want simplicity with a magnificent ocean view, a stay in Cabana J will put your next coastal stay on the right footing. This adorable one-bedroom oceanfront cottage has all the desirable amenities - a fenced yard, dogs allowed, ping pong table, cornhole, beach wagon, picnic table, and beach access close by. The king bedroom makes this a sweet spot for a romantic getaway; the leather sofa in the living room is also a queen sleeper, so Cabana J is also good for a couples retreat or small family. You’ll love watching the ocean as you dine at the table for four—even the couch has an ocean view!

The pretty fenced yard is where you’ll want to spend your time, though! Situated on a cliff above the sea, Cabana J gives you sky-high, panoramic views north to Cascade Head, and beach and surf views to the south. Gulls whirl and call overhead, pelicans skim the waves, and the sky blazes at sunset. A picnic table and barbecue let you grill and dine outside, and it’s an easy walk to a sloping beach access for walking on the sand. The Oceanlake District’s movie theatre, bakery, restaurants and shops are well worth exploring a few short blocks away. The rest of Lincoln City, Depoe Bay and Newport are easy day trips. The property was more run down than the pictures showed. The front and backyard were certainly neglected but everything in the house was functional. The fact that there was a fenced-in yard for dog was wonderful and the view of the ocean from back yard and even from the couch was amazing!

Amazing View! Good location. Close to beach access. Loved the fenced yard! Clean and loved the accents with the toiletries decorations! Pull out sofa was actually comfortable, so we slept there and cracked the window to listen to the ocean all night! It was beautiful!

Amazing view

We stayed with our large dog. The view was incredible and the fenced yard was very convenient. We slept in the living room on the pullout sofa with the patio door open to hear the ocean and feel the breeze. Perfect house for a couple and a dog.

Beautiful Stay

Only downfall was there is only parking for one car but luckily when I reached out to the Property Manager, they accommodated and provided a solution right away. Aside from that, the house was beautiful, with a beautiful view, and a great location.

Copies of our ID were requested outside of Vrbo, which I didn’t find very safe privacy wise. This was taken care of but it’s nice to know beforehand. Amazing location and view, however there was an enormous stench from a previous dog. Nothing was done with our complaint during 48 hours which was why we left early.

My dog & I just needed a quick break from real life so I booked two nights. The yard is perfect as we sat out & enjoyed the sun. Sunrises are spectacular with the view. I slept on the couch even though there is an awesome king bed available (I wanted to hear the waves & smell the ocean air.) The couch is comfortable & having the windows open was magical. I brought food & snacks however I opted to order pizza delivery, the kitchen has everything you need (even a dry doggie food scoop which was great as I did forget mine.) Will definitely stay again.

This home and everything leading up to reserving it was perfect. Had to wait 15 minutes for housekeeping to finish. The bedroom is literally a room for a bed. Hard to navigate around and no usable side tables. I brought in a chair for that and for in the closet to organize my clothes. No dresser and three hangers. Good to know for next time. Lots of towels (no wash cloths) and the washer dryer are new and clean!Very little counter space in the kitchen so I relocated the microwave for my stay so I could cook. No cleanliness surprises. It was cleaner than my house for sure.I will certainly want to come here again. Eating dinner on the couch and watching the sunset?? Yes please.

Cheap and cheerful

This little beach cottage is basic, and comfortable enough. It's in need of some TLC along the baseboards and the cupboards need a cleaning. I scoured and oiled the cast iron. But all is forgiven because of the view. Spectacular.

Knew house was small maximum of four guest. Cozy but cramped. Table would seat six but was way to large for area. Long bed in bedroom just enough room to get around it(king bed nice but queen would be better. Don’t plan on doing much cooking, kitchen doesn’t have what we would use. All pans were large no small pot, only two small spoons, plenty of forks and knives.

The fact this listing shows “updated” is beyond me. The ONLY thing updated was the no name range and fridge. Everything else was from the 70s. I am giving this a 1 star for the view. The house is a complete DUMP. First day, the bathroom exhaust fan fell from the ceiling, making it a hazard. Door knobs from every room FELL OFF. Beach chairs were rusted through and unusable, yard was lacking maintenance. The entire house was lacking maintenance. Communication with property management company was sub par at best. The whole house was not as promised by any means, other than the view. The grill outside was a small disgusting camping grill, the only way to sit outside was a falling apart park bench they put out there. Windows barely worked properly, sliding off tracks. I have asked for at least a 1 day refund due to these issues - zero response. Again, this place is a a complete at total DUMP. If you don’t care about spending money for a place in this condition, boom it. If you want value, STAY AWAY from this place.

Wow the view

I came here to get away from Portland. I brought my doggie. There's a couple holes in the fence and she figured those out quick but I got her back. I'd say the only thing that's missing is a microwave, but I heated my food up in the oven and it was just fine. The view is incredible there was a storm and I've never been through a one and that was completely awesome and I could see the moon. It was like I could touch it. I will definitely come again if I can get back here. It gave me a chance to reboot. I guess you could say. I never did go walk on the beach. I didn't feel like I needed to. It was right there. I could see everything. The storm was incredible. I highly recommend this place even though it's small, it's perfect. Thank you again for allowing me to stay in your residence. I hope that I can come back again soon
