Our October stay was simply perfect. Waking up to enjoy our morning coffee while watching the fog roll in over the pond from the comfort of a cozy couch was a highlight of our trip. Our family of 5 loved the space, decor, and historical feel of the house. I especially loved the witch window! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the house each night - and had all the supplies necessary at our fingertips. While it is a bit of a drive from the touristy spots in Waterbury-Stowe, it was not an inconvenience given the beautiful scenery along the route. I bet it is also beautiful in winter/Christmas time. Highly recommended.
Beautiful location! The Pond gave us hours of relaxation and the grounds are secluded and nicely landscaped. Loved the Adirondack chairs! And enjoyed kayaking the Pond to see the loons and beaver lodge. The house is spacious and we loved the "quirky" and comfortable decor! Beds were very comfortable and bedding was perfect for the changing weather. Kitchen was well stocked with tableware and cookware and nicely arranged for cooking and eating. While we enjoyed the ambiance, I would suggest a bit more lighting for seniors like us with less than stellar eye sight though!
The property and house were beautiful, exactly as described. The kitchen was very well stocked. The location was exactly as we had hoped, slightly remote so we could enjoy the stars at night and the quiet during the day.
The house was truly beautiful-what a cool building. We really enjoyed our peaceful stay. The bedrooms were so cute, and the lake was stunning. Be sure to check out Harry's Hardware around the corner on Sundays if you stay!
It's exactly as the quote on the wall in kitchen.......How wonderful it is to do nothing and then relax afterwards. It's beautiful and peaceful. It's my 5th visit.
This house offers everything and then some. Very clean and creative fun art everywhere. We enjoyed time on the kayaks and were happy whether we were inside or outside. Game closet then offered more joy for children. There’s trails to hike and great for our dog too.Grateful the host offers this stellar experience. If you book, aim to leave it even better than you found it (it’ll be a challenge) but the respect it deserves.
Such a lovely space with incredible accommodations! Our dog loved looking longingly out the windows at the freshly fallen Vermont snow. It was a pretty picturesque Christmas!
Great Vermont location and an excellent Vrbo experience.....our first! Had excellent communication with the host when needing to make a change ----adding a pet to the trip.
It’s a lovely and welcoming space. The decor is eclectic and interesting. Furnishings comfortable for a family. We enjoyed celebrating our holiday there all together. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Beds are comfy. House was warm even in the snowy weather.
Though the weather was not the best, unfortunately. This place was a great getaway. Beautiful views of the water, and the property was very well manicured.
