About this property
Ocean Bay Retreat—Relish in Gorgeous Beachy Style
Peacefully tucked away on a quiet, residential street, Ocean Bay Retreat offers a leafy escape just a five-minute drive from Tootgarook Foreshore Reserve and Rye Pier, where you can fish, swim and soak up the sunshine. It’s modern, beachy Australian style is complemented by multiple outdoor spaces—including a back patio and front garden. Fire up the BBQ to dine alfresco or simply flip through the pages of your favourite book while sunbathing on the loungers.
Surrounded by native greenery, Ocean Bay Retreat offers a peaceful escape that’s just a short drive to the beach and dining and shopping options along Point Nepean Road. Enter through the stained glass front door to find the sun-drenched living area, set with an L-shaped lounge and central TV for easy viewing. Split-system cooling and ducted heating throughout keeps temperatures comfortable no matter the season you’re travelling.
The compact, coroner kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials, while a breakfast bar invites you to have a quick bite before hitting the surf. Dine inside at the sturdy timber table, or open the sliding doors to access the backyard and patio. Summer cook-ups are made easy with a BBQ and ample space to dine alfresco, while a grassy, fully-fenced backyard encourages the kids and pets to play.
Three bedrooms sleep seven guests. The first and second bedrooms are both set with queen beds under a ceiling fan to keep you comfortable while you sleep. Ample wardrobe space makes it easy to unpack and store your belongings. The third bedroom offers a set of bunk beds—fit for both adults and children—with a single up top and double on the bottom. Refresh in the modern bathroom and take your pick from a relaxing soak in the bath or a quick rinse off in the shower.
Added conveniences include a baby highchair and porta cot located in the bunk room cupboard. An in-unit washing machine and carport parking for two vehicles enhance your stay.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire home to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!
Situated on the Mornington Peninsula about one hour south of Melbourne, Tootgarook is a quaint community that offers a serene escape among lush, natural beauty. The most popular eatery in the town limits is Onshore Restaurant, located on Point Nepean Road. It focuses on modern Australian cuisine with a simple menu based on fresh, local ingredients. One of the community’s main attractions is its expansive wetlands, which spans 38 hectares. The Tootgarook Swamp, also known as the Borneo Swamp, is the Port Phillip Bay region’s largest shallow freshwater marsh with an ecosystem that thrives on groundwater. Peninsula Hot Springs is a short drive away, ready for you to enjoy a relaxing day at the spa.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
We are pet-friendly - please add the number of pets you're travelling with and let us know about your furry friend at the time of booking. We will reach out to charge a pet fee of $110
