Loved our stay and would come again. Beach access was so easy and the home was so fun to stay in.

Thanks, Kiri! So glad the beach access was a hit — there's nothing like being steps from the water. And "fun to stay in" is exactly what we were going for. Come back anytime!

Beautiful home, wonderfully decorated, well appointed and incredibly cozy. Everything we needed for a family gathering! We so enjoyed the outdoor seating area and fire pit. Amazing view of Puget Sound and Mt. Ranier!

Amazing house

The property owner was very accommodating, nice and responsive. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean. Great location, quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. Great views and loved the ocean smells. We will definitely be back to stay here in Vashon.

Beautiful Designed Home

This was a beautifully designed home (lots of natural wood beams). We absolutely loved the kitchen (huge). It was only a 3 minute walk to the beach.
Response from VrboOwner on 1 October 2026
Thanks, Rich! Those natural wood beams are our favorite feature too — and that 3-minute walk to the beach never gets old. Glad you loved the kitchen as well. Come back soon!

Awesome views

What a custom built home with amazing views and quiet tranquility. Definitely needed this retreat and the surrounding nature is unmatched. Step away from the chaos and watch it from the shore. Booking my next trip tonight!

Fall in love on Vashon

What a view and what a home! Blown away the moment we stepped in the door. Great craftsmanship throughout the home. Custom detail all around, this is not your builder grade home. Stunning views from every room in the home. Local private beach a quick walk away. Very peaceful and calm the entire stay. This is just the break from the chaos we needed. Definitely coming back to this slice of heaven and recharge. Thank you again for the hospitality and easy communication!

We're so glad the craftsmanship, the views from every room, and that peaceful calm gave you the break you needed. This little slice of heaven will be here whenever you're ready to recharge again!

Beautiful house

The house is beautiful and has an absolutely stunning view of Mt Rainier. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We had good communication with the host and an easy check in. I would just caution anyone with kids from staying here - it’s definitely a house for adults, as there is a large open staircase throughout the middle of the house. The floors on the main floor are concrete or some sort of stone so tough for toddlers/new walkers. The outdoor space is beautiful with the views, but the grass area seems to be under construction. We also had a hungry raccoon try to join our outdoor dinner one night lol. All in all a beautiful house, but not the cozy stay I think we might have hoped for at this price. Just felt a bit cold - definitely meant for a different audience than two couples and a baby!

Hi Kensi, so glad to hear you enjoyed the home! Between the incredible view and a comfortable place to land, it sounds like you had a great time! The homeowner was glad to hear your thoughts and wanted to share the following:- Because of the federal Fair Housing Act, we're not allowed to limit who can stay based on family status, so I can’t market the home as “adults only.”- We would advise anyone (with or without small children) to review the photos carefully, as there are multiple images that illustrate the large open staircase in the listing. We truly appreciate your feedback—it helps us keep improving and make sure future guests have the 5-star stay this homeowner aims for.

Wonderful stay in beautiful home

There were 7 of us seniors: 3 couples + 1 single. Dealing with the owner was seamless and pleasant. We loved the setting of the house, location, cleanliness, the various rooms, beds were great, kitchen fully stocked, etc…. but the set up re the 2 full bathrooms was not ideal for our group because one bathroom is ensuite, so access is limited for the others and the other bathroom is a jack and jill configuration, which is ok, but the sinks are set low, for easy kid access. Speaking of children, site says house is suitable for children but just note that owner's personal effects/pictures/mementos are all around and so if it were me, would be very careful with children in the house.Overall, I recommend the house with the caveats noted!

It was understated on the listing. This is a premier house, with custom furnishings, equipment and incidentals. The only derogatory thing I can say is that the first impression, curb view is seriously misleading. Unlock the door, go inside and bask in a very classy, thoughtfully furnished and comfortable home for which the owner takes great confidence in her guests' willingness to preserve. First class! Hope to return.

Winfield, what a review — thank you! You've nailed the experience we hope for: the door opens and the house does the talking. Fair point on the curb view; we'll take "misleadingly modest" as a compliment. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back for another first-class stay.
