I can’t recommend this lovely house enough! The owners took every care and attention to make our stay very comfortable. They sent us a lovely email before our stay and dropped by to settle us in. The house has wonderful views and is a good proximity to St Andrews (though without the higher rental prices charged centrally). The owners left us a lovely welcome pack with yummy scones and jam and coffee. The house is spacious and has some outdoor space and great for walking. We didn’t want to leave!

This a very spacious, clean and well equipped cottage.
This a very spacious, clean and well equipped cottage. The views from every window are lovely, particularly the view down to St Andrews, and if you have a dog the walks right from the door are fantastic. Lucklaw hill is a lovely gentle climb which rewards you with great views. Behind the house is a large field where our dog loved playing with her ball. It is so quiet and peaceful you can't help but relax. Don't have any concerns about the proximity of the hosts because you won't know they are there and they are very welcoming. We have stayed in many holiday cottages, very few we would book again but this is definitely one we will return to.

What a fantastic and lovingly furnished and cared for cottage!
Leena and Andrew are truly the perfect hosts, friendly, interested, bold, non-intrusive and very hospitable to us and our dogs. After the corona lockdown it was wonderful to stay here for 3 weeks in July and August. The view from the house and garden is wonderful. The cottage is warm, well maintained and fully furnished. As highly experienced vacationers in holiday homes, this is by far the best address we have ever come across. Everything has been thought of! The area is an absolute must for those seeking tranquility in this beautiful part of Scotland. The views and the landscapes are simply breathtaking. We really enjoyed ourselves here and would certainly love to come back!

If you're after peace and quiet in a secluded spot within a wonderful landscape this is it.
If you're after peace and quiet in a secluded spot within a wonderful landscape this is it. We had horse-riders pass our windows, as did deer and rabbits. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and the wide range of local walks. Andrew and Leena think of everything, including extra facilities for our handicapped daughter. Her scones and jam too, are unmissable. We spent a joyous two weeks in total R & R

Probably the best holiday let we have ever experienced over many years of experience.
Probably the best holiday let we have ever experienced over many years of experience. The location is outstanding with views to the coast and St Andrews. The owners were very welcoming and provided us with a range of local foods. The quality of accommodation was spacious and of the highest order and there was a wide range of equipment provided. There were a number of local walks which could be taken directly from the cottage. The towns of St Andrews, Dundee, Cupar and the fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife were all within short driving distances. There was also a wide range of restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Hope to return again.

We spent 10 days at the cottage with our young family and it is one of the best holidays we have ever had. The cottage is extremely comfortable, well-equipped and peaceful. The location not only affords fantastic views but is very well placed for exploring the local area, with St Andrews, Dundee, Cupar and masses of outdoor spots within easy reach. What really stands out is the thoughtfulness of the owners, Andrew and Leena, who were very welcoming and helpful while remaining unobtrusive - a tricky balance to pull off! Thank you both, we will be back.

Stunning cottage, stunning view.
Stunning cottage, stunning view. Nothing was too much for the owners, they assisted where needed but stayed away too. Great recommendation for a Bacon Sandwich given too! Everything you need is there, the attention to detail is fantastic, even providing binoculars to enjoy the views. Thank you Andrew and Lena for your hospitality, we enjoyed our stay immensely.

What a find.
What a find. This cottage is truly the best home from home we have ever stayed in. The Cottage was equipped to the highest standard Where the Hosts (Leena & Andrew) provided all of the equipment that we needed Bedding, Towels, and everything you could have thought about in the kitchen Including an AGA. The decor was clean, light and bright and had a lovely homely feel throughout.
From the elevated position the views from the Property and outside are Stunning. There are quite a few walks from the Cottage which our Dog thoroughly enjoyed. The Location of the Cottage gives you great access to St Andrews, Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, Cupar Dundee and Edinburgh as well as the beaches at St Andrews and Tentsmuir>
To Sum it up We've stayed in properties across the U.K. and I don't think we've ever found anywhere that comes close to this gem, you can’t fail to have a good break here.

Our dog was made to feel very welcome as we were. Andrew and Leena are the perfect hosts.
The week went very quickly. I loved the Aga, the comfortable sofa and armchairs, views from the window down to St. Andrew's bay, fresh floral displays in the kitchen and lounge. A home from home indeed!

We had a wonderful week at Lucklaw Steading Cottage. The cottage was very well equipped. The location between St Andrews and Dundee gave us plenty of opportunity to venture in many directions on foot, by car and by bus. It is also possible to follow walks from the front door of the cottage.
We couldn't have asked for better weather which always helps.
