A second floor apartment in a prime location, opposite Shanklin’s sandy beach.. All on the Second Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and highchair. Two balconies with outdoor furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Location, location, location! This second floor apartment is set in a superb position on the beach front esplanade in the ever popular resort of Shanklin.

Two sets of patio doors in the open plan living space bring that sea air inside… and what would be better than having your breakfast on the balcony whilst gazing out to sea?

We’re sure you’ll never tire of those views but when the sun sets there’s a 32” Freeview TV and DVD player to while away your evening’s, or it’s just a couple of minutes stroll into the heart of Shanklin with its pubs and restaurants. When it’s time for bed there’s a double and twin bedroom for you to snuggle down in for the night.

Shanklin is a great place to holiday whatever the British weather throws at you. Visit Shanklin theatre or take a stroll through Shanklin Chine, a wooded gorge with fabulous waterfalls. For younger visitors Sandown Zoo will go down a treat, as will Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf.

Although it was October, the apartment was nice and warm.

Although it was October, the apartment was nice and warm. The lounge and kitchen areas were perfect for our needs, we loved looking out at the sunrises and the sea. Very useful to have our own parking place. The kitchen facilities were good, it was clean and very pleasant to stay there. Good places to eat within easy walking distance, it was a perfect base for exploring the Isle of Wight.

Short stay but enjoyed our stay.Four flights of stairs so only suitable if fit. We struggled as have bad legs/knees.Apartment very roomy andcosy. Not very well equipped if you want to cook meals.NO WASHING MACHINE!Good job I didn't need one.One of the most cleanest apartment we have stayed in over the many years we have visited the Island.

Apartment was clean, tidy, well equipped and located on the esplanade over looking the beach. Only draw-back was getting into the apartment. Change-over was 5pm, the key was in a key-safe, the entrance to the apartment had no outside light, so had to go and find a torch in the car to light up the key-safe, not ideal. Apart from that had a wonderful week in a lovely apartment.

Highly recommend

On arrival we found milk in the fridge, and biscuits on the table which was a nice touch. There was emergency contact details on the fridge, and wifi details. Well appointed property, close to Shanklin Chine, beach, amusements, restaurants, chippy and crazy golf. The property was very clean, (and this is from someone who is OCD about cleanliness), and well equipped. If I was to suggest one improvement, it would be useful to have a top cupboard in the kitchen for food storage. The only downside to this property is that it is an upstairs flat and there isn't a lift. So wouldn't recommend for anyone with severe mobility issues, everyone else I would say, go for it.

Previous reviewers mentioned that the kitchen/dinner area was quitee poorly lit and there was a lack of hooks for towels etc in bathroom/bedrooms, Id agree with both these but would definitely book to stay again since overall stay was great. This is a brilliant apartment.

This is a brilliant apartment. We booked it at very short notice, the sea view being the main draw. It certainly delivered and we spent hours looking out of the balcony windows and even standing outside, enjoying the whole thing of being by the seaside. The living space has everything you want. The two sofas are comfortable. Kitchen equipment is more than adequate ( we did find the kitchen corner to be a bit dark but one of the bedside lamps helped here). The beds are fine and the bathroom is excellent. We appreciated having full control over the efficient heating system, (something which is not always the case in holiday properties). The parking place is easy to access and essential here for much of the year. The apartment is in a block of 5. The hallway and stairway are nicely decorated and set the tone for the apartment itself. Lovely apartment, perfect position overlooking Shanklin seafront with all the comfort of home and the two small outside balconies were a bonus. We rented in November so were glad of the central heating. Would recommend this apartment, one of the best we have stayed in, just be aware of the two flights of stairs to get to it but well worth it when you do.

Fantastic location, loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the sea. Apartment was nice and big, unfortunately it had suffered a roof leak prior to our arrival so it smelt a bit damp in the hallway. Cleaning wasn't great, lots of things left under the bed, lots of cobwebs and dust in corners. I asked for a travel cot weeks in advance however there wasn't one there when we arrived. When I tried to sort it out with the property managers they denied that I had asked for a travel cot and stated that they didn't have any more to offer me, hence my 8 month old baby had to sleep in a makeshift bed on the floor. Had I known that they didn't have any travel costs I would have brought my own. Despite the negatives we enjoyed our stay and loved the position of the apartment on the seafront and the allocated parking space.

Really enjoyed our week on the Isle of Wight (our first trip over). The apartment was modern and had everything we needed. Had a problem with the water pressure and rang the owners and they came round within 20 minutes and sorted it out. Literally crossed the road to the beach and there was enough to do in the immediate vicinity. Just a short drive to do a food shop. We would stay there again and would definitely recommend to others.
