We had a wonderful family gathering while visiting our daughter at the University of Rhode Island, and we were able to enjoy the fall foliage, which made the timing perfect. The place felt private and peaceful, with a beautiful setting, and the hiking, including the rock scramble, made it memorable. The amenities, from boating and kayaking to paddleboarding and fishing, were a great bonus.

We had a lovely stay at the Lake House. We were in the area for a wedding and found this house to be a perfect location. While the weather was not particularly conducive to enjoy the outdoor (nor’easters are intense), the scenery was stunning and I would love to come back and enjoy the paddle boards and kayaks. Communication with the owner was very good. I hope to have the occasion to come back again!

This house is an absolute pleasure to stay in. Lovely lake views from most of the windows, comfortable seating indoors and out, a well-equipped kitchen, charming decor, comfortable beds. We enjoyed a late season swim out to the dock and also took out a canoe and kayak to explore the lake. Also loved sitting around the fire pit out on the patio overlooking the water. The owner is friendly and responsive. Highly recommend this gem!

The property is beautiful and very private. The private beach, dock, and swimming raft are great for kids and swimming. The view from the patio and rear of the house is amazing. I also enjoyed some pretty good fishing from the kayaks and canoe.

Our stay, which included 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren was absolutely awesome. It is obvious that Bill goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay possible. We enjoyed the sandy beach with plenty of beach chairs, kayaking, fishing, swimming, as well as just relaxing on the patio, enjoying the view, the firepit and the absolute peacefulness of the area. We all agreed this was a hidden gem and well worth a return trip.

This Lake House is just what we hoped for! Built in 1900 with all the comforts of 2026 makes this cottage very charming, And the incredible water viewsit's almost like you are on a boat! Speaking of watercrafts, there's paddle boards, kayaks, and a canoe! Our favorite part? The clear beautiful lake and swimming to the raft. The host responds quickly to answer any questions. We recommend this spot very highly!

We had a relaxing long weekend at the lake house. Well appointed house with great lake access. Enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, and fire pit on the beach. The property was also very close to several nice hiking trails. Quiet nights and starry sky. Serenity.

An unbelievable vacation rental, it almost feels like a movie set. Bill has clearly put so much love and care into creating a perfect, peaceful paradise, and he tops it all off with access to so many great amenities. We used the canoe, went fishing, and were swimming in the clear warm water every chance we got. The sand is clean and soft, and the shallow water is perfect for small kids. The house itself is very well appointed. The kitchen is filled with high quality cookware. The beds were super comfortable. Everything was perfect. 10/10.

My family (3 adults, 2 young children) spent five wonderful spring days here. In the mornings, we enjoyed looking at the beautiful water from the living room or the beach, digging or reading. In the afternoons, we explored the area, visiting family friendly activities like Mystic Seaport, the Pequot Museum, and Roger Williams Botanical Garden. In the evenings, we cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the setting was remote and quiet, and it was a great getaway.

Best vacation spot ever!

This is the second time we stayed at this location and it was just as amazing this time as it was the first. My son loved it so much that he rented it with his family last year as well. We hope to make this a family tradition, as it’s close to home, yet definitely feels like paradise.

This was such a serene and relaxing place to stay. We loved exploring the trails and spending time on the water, and my son especially enjoyed bringing bread to the dock each morning to feed the fish. It was exactly what we needed—a peaceful getaway to recharge before heading back to school.

The location is wonderful. The beach is perfect for little kids. There are kayaks, a paddle board, and life jackets for hours of fun. It’s close enough to Mystic to be able to go to the aquarium and museums. Bill and Alison were very helpful and attentive hosts.
