Great location, well equipped kitchen. Very homely. 6 friendly pubs literally within 2 minute walk, main street less than 5 mins walk away and harbour 30 seconds away. Highly recommended.
It was raining most of the week that we stayed in Teignmouth but we absolutely loved the house which gave us views over the back beach to Shaldon and beyond so that was the saving grace to our visit. Pete, the owner was very responsive and helped us settle in when we had a slight hitch with the TV reception so it's nice to know that he is there is you need him. Great house and lovely owner, we would stay again . Good WIFI reception, comfy beds, great location and lovely showers. Thanks Pete for letting us stay in your families holiday home.

Please do stay again as it’s lovely having a couple who are responsive, clean and lovely to deal with. Come late summer when the weather is better. Hopefully see you again pete
Good communication with the owners from the start of booking to the end.
Location of home is excellent although the noise from the pub was loud especially with a toddler in the house.
House was very well equipped although the stairs was very steep and the carpet is loose, my grandson did cut his foot on the exposed grips apart from that everyone was happy.
Tv remotes need attention, parking was easy and we paid every 2 days £8.80 via the app.
Would stay again

hi tv remote and tv set box have been upgraded, the carpet has been repaired and a stair rail now added
Really love staying here what a w9nderful house in a wonderful location. The locals are so friendly and lots to do and see.
The house is great and bed really comfy with lovely big showers to.
The stairs to the top floor are steep but what a delight at the top. This upside down house doesnt disappoint.
I loved sitt8ng on the wide window ledge looking at the boats etc.
While qe were there thr music festivql was on a bit noisy but great fun. The pub next door have karaoke and open mic night and the musicians were fabulous so well worth popping in.
Pete the owner has been c9ntactable if needed and does check in to see all is ok via the app messenger.
Will definitely c9me again
We loved our stay at this spacious well equipped property. Great location for accessing shops, beaches, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. We hired Kayaks and paddle boards from the hire Centre across the street at a reasonable rate.
The pub next door to the property is busy and lively and can be quite noisy till late at night but the double glazing and heavy curtains do help to allow you to sleep.
We were so lucky with the weather and visited several different towns, villages and beaches. No parking outside but a local car park 100 yards away had reasonable weekly rates.
The 2 flights of stairs are steep with no hand rails so would not suit those with mobility problems but certainly helps to burn some calories !!
Excellent contact with the host throughout our stay.
We would definitely like to return again.
Had a good holiday. Property was clean and tidy and communication with the hosts was excellent. Lovely period property in excellent location (Please note there is a pub next door, so can be a bit noisy in the evening). Very convenient for the Town centre and beaches. The washing machine, dryer and Dishwasher was a bonus.
Stairs can be challenging for not so able bodied people and we think a fan could be good for the upstairs floor (however we did stay in a very hot week, so not surprising the upstairs floor was warm).
We would recommend this property and if visiting Teignmouth we would stay here again.
Spent a few night at the cottage over new year. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy local walks. The property has a great location, lovely and walk and an interesting artistic feel. Teignmouth town is great fun and very friend. Highly recommend.
This is an 'upside down house', the kitchen/dining and lounge areas are at the top of the house to take advantage of the views of the surrounding beaches and views of the countryside. The space is vast and would easily house a large family. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, bright and airy and newly refurbed. The location is second to none, pubs, restaurants, shops, all within almost touching distance. The back beach (we renamed it as Doggie Beach), on the doorstep was the most entertaining and relaxing place early evening, watching the sun go down. The master bedroom is double glazed to a good standard, so late night noise is not a problem. I cannot praise this house and location enough and cannot wait to return as soon as we can. Thank you Pete for letting us stay in your home.
We had a fantastic time, the house is lovely and the layout is great with the main area being on the top floor!! There are pubs and restaurants within touching distance and as the girls enjoy paddle boarding, they simply had to walk out the front door!! Great week away!!!
Well equipped, and very helpful owner when we didn't take our own sheets and towels, airy pleasant space upstairs to socialise.
Well positioned for front and back beaches and local beaches. We liked Dawlish Warren and Babbacombe.
We have just returned from a week in Teignmouth and absolutely loved this house. It is so comfortable to live in, well-equipped and in a great location - the view from the top floor, which the owners have made into the main living area, is just lovely.
The house is just as described and perfect for a holiday with easy access to the beach, town and surrounding area, with lots to do to suit everyone’s taste.
Parking is a two minute walk away and, even in peak holiday season, we were always able to find a space.
Peter, the owner, is very helpful and communication before and during the holiday was great.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and really hope to be able to go again. Thanks Pete!
Pete communicated extremely well
We had a lovely time. The upstairs open plan kitchen / dining living room worked very well for our family group. Including 22 month old twins
Excellent location. It is next to a pub but double glazing means very little noise. No through traffic. Plenty of space. There are number of bunk beds so it is probably more suited to families as opposed to a large group of older people. Bed in ensuite room was very comfortable.
Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for reviewing. The house is there whenever you want to stay again. So pleased you enjoyed your stay pete
We stayed at the property from Weds 9th - Sunday 13th September. The house accommodated us perfectly. Good sized bedrooms and comfortable beds. We were a bit concerned with the mention of the owners belongings being there as it is there holiday home. We were expecting clutter. There wasn't any and the house was really clean. The top floor living space was fabulous. Very light and airy, relaxing and spacious. The location of the house is perfect. You literally have everything on your doorstep. Great pubs, cafe's and shops and of course the sea. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this house and stay here again. We were impressed with Teignmouth too as we hadn't stayed there before.
We booked a week's stay at the property given current travel restrictions we liked the look of the location being directly on the quayside.
We werent disappointed, the rental is a historic building with plenty of character and updated facilities including a lovely open plan space on the top floor with kitchen and views across the back beach.
Parking was easy with plenty of spaces a very short walk away and easily topped up via the online parking app.
The crab shack restaurant a few yards away was lovely with excellent fresh seafood.
All in all a good choice, we located for a break away in Teignmouth!
It provided a suitable base for what we needed but lacks outside space and parking is tricky

The house has no outside garden but does have a quay side and beach yards from the front door - they are the outside area and there is no better than watching the sun set with a glass in hand.
Parking can be done outside the house very easily. Car parks are normally fine unless it’s A sunny August Weekend day. There are two hidden car parks that tourists don’t know so just ask if staying at these times.
Just can’t please everyone !
Beautiful, spacious, character property, well equipped and maintained. Great location, with pubs/restaurants and shops on your doorstep and beach a 2 minute walk from the front door. Great stay.
Our family of six had a great stay at this house in Teignmouth. The property is exactly as described, and suited us (2 adults, two young teens, and two younger kids) perfectly.
The location is great, with very easy walking access to the local beaches, shops, pubs, and restaurants - everything is right on the doorstep.
Parking was no problem in the nearby long-stay car park (although it did get full at times).
