Everything about this place was AMAZING!! Within walking distance to everything, very clean, quiet, and Larry couldn't have been a better host! We will definitely be staying again!
Very positive experience. The apartment was great for our family and the location was excellent, just above most of the main shops and restaurants and a short walk to the gingerbread houses. It was a clean, comfortable apartment and had all the amenities we needed to make it feel like home with a young child. We would definitely stay again and thank Laurence for the great communication to help us seamlessly access the location.
The property was terrific and Larry was VERY communicative. We ran into a few bumps and Larry was incredibly supportive and responsive. Location is very central and public parking turned out relatively way to navigate.
What a fun place to stay on the Vineyard! Right on the Main Street with great people watching. A little noisy in the morning but worth it for the location. Had a few issues and the owner was very responsive and everything turned out great. Would highly recommend for the location!!
The apartment was beautiful. Airy, beachy, nice lay-out. Very clean and well-maintained. We’re a family of five with three kids—the perfect size for us. We loved that it was on Circuit Ave. and so close to everything. We didn’t bring our car this year, but the bus transportation on Martha’s Vineyard is easy. No complaints whatsoever.
Our stay was just we needed to close out our summer. The host,Larry, was responsive to our needs and great to work with. The property is lovely and well situated. We loved being on Circuit Avenue in the mix of everything. The market is across the street so we had no problem cooking some ofour meals in the well appointed kitchen. I would note that the steps to the unit may be challenging for less mobile people but worth it. The bonus is the great view from the balcony, especially at sunrise. We would definitely stay here again.
We had the most amazing time and experience at this property, and it made the stay with our children a memorable one. The location was unmatched! Right in the heart of circuit avenue with the largest deck on the block, we had people trying to find the listing online to book it in the future, and people waving to us from the street saying how lucky we were to be staying there. We were greeted with fresh flowers and every amenity, including beach chairs which was such a treat. We will be staying here from now on and appreciated the communication and thoughtfulness with the owner that made our vacation seamless from start to finish!
My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s right in the center of town next to Grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, and most importantly beaches. The neighborhood is vibrant, The home with all the amenities to make for a comfortable stay.
We’ve been staying here for many years it is like our second home. Larry is very accommodating and a great host.
This property was in a great location, very convenient to shops and the ferry boats to/from the island. The unit was clean, spacious, and as nice as expected. We were happy to have coffee provided for our two night stay!
Great stay in the middle of all the activity in Oak Bluff. The neighboring shops and and restaurants are literally steps away and the staff at all were overwhelming welcoming. Owner was easy to do deal with and completely accomodating.
Fantastic location just a very short walk from the ferry. Everything you need is right there in the apartment and right outside the door is shopping, places to eat and the beach a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch/deck that overlooks the town everyday. We did not cook at all but the kitchen is fully stocked with a full size refrigerator. The apartment is on the 2nd floor so there stairs involved. Very pet friendly as we brought our dog along. High recommended. Larry was very accommodating and answered all questions promptly.
Larry was very helpful throughout our visit. The location for us was ideal because most of my party were visiting for the first time. We enjoyed the balcony porch that offered glimpses of the ocean and people watching. Everyone slept comfortably. The loft beds thrilled the kids. This place is flooded with light. Excellent, quiet stay. Would book again without hesitation.

Each year is nicer than the year before, and being in an in-town location has so many benefits. It feels like being at the center of the action (from a locational perspective) while being in a well-appointed sanctuary. Our 4-yr-old already has fond memories of MV based on what she calls "the apartment".
The property location and size was ideal for my family of 3. The place offered all the amenities needed to provide a wonderful family memory. We were centrally located within the main area of town which was ideal for walking, shopping, restaurants, and the beach. We enjoyed the proximity to everything that the island had to offer. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to get away without the hassle of managing a house. Its the perfect size for a family looking to have lasting memory. We have to this location for the past 5 years and it has never disappointed us. Great times, lasting memories for all.
Easy walk from Oak Bluffs ferry terminal to address. Perfectly situated in terms of easy access to food, desserts, & alcohol. Can hang out outside on the front deck to relax or people watch. The third floor bedroom ladder climb up was cool. Easy to open and lock entry doors. Would definitely stay there again. No need for car. Can park for free along Inkwell Beach.

Hi Larry,
We've just returned from the Vineyard and had a great time! We stayed in unit #1 which was spacious and spotlessly clean. It was nice being able to walk to everything and not to have to drive! We enjoyed people watching and grilling on the front porch. We'd previously stayed in Unit #3 a couple of years ago and enjoyed that as well, instead of people watching, we had a view of the ocean. You can't go wrong either way!!
Thanks again, we're hoping we can make it every year!
Staying above Sharky's on Circuit Ave is an amazing way to visit the vineyard. This rental was spacious, comfortable, and convenient. We have spent time on the vineyard for the last 7 years with and without the family. This visit was just the two of us and we are very happy to have found this rental.
We were able to easily find parking along Seaview Ave, an easy walk to the apartment and it allowed us to leave our beach gear in the car for extra beach visits in Oak Bluffs. The front deck is nice to sit on in the evenings and soak up the energy on the street below, but as soon as you close the door the apartment is quiet. AC works well. Wifi works great. Walking to restaurants, ice cream, and morning coffee is super easy. Overall a great place to stay.

About the host
Hosted by Larry- Customer of HomeAway.com since 2004
I have been successfully managing seasonal vacation property on Martha's Vineyard for over 30 years. I try to provide accommodations that I myself would enjoy visiting. I do my best to be as responsive as possible to guests comfort and enjoyment during their vacation.
Why they chose this property
This rental is a certified national historic property by the United States Department of Interior. It is the first commercial building built in the town. It looks virtually the same on the outside today as it did in 1862 when it was built. On the inside it has been modernized but remains faithful to its historic origins. The location is unsurpassed for guests looking to be centrally located in one of the most unique towns in the country.
What makes this property unique
The property has three units and is one of the tallest buildings in the town. The top floor occupies the entire floor with 360 degree views over the town and the ocean. It has a wonderful covered porch in the front overlooking the main street and a more private deck on the side with a grill and table/chairs. It has a bright sunny living room, a regular bedroom, and a second loft sleeping area. The second floor unit in the front has tall ceilings, two regular bedrooms, an eat in kitchen, and an amazing HUGE covered porch overlooking the main street providing the best people watching spot in town. The third unit is currently unavailable for summer rental.
