Maui Kamaole #B-206 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit on the second floor with a tropical garden view and air conditioning throughout. It has a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, three flat-screen TVs, one DVD player, free wireless Internet, and telephone. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom, as well as air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a flat-screen TV. Bedroom 2 is a loft with two twin beds, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, flat screen TV, and a full bathroom. There is a queen-sized sofa bed in the living room with a recliner, air conditioner, ceiling fan, flat-screen TV, and DVD player. For outdoor activities, Maui Kamaole #B-206 is equipped with beach chairs and beach towels. Sleeps 6. Please note: This unit is on the second floor with no elevator available.

Kamaole Beach #3 is just across from the upscale Maui Kamaole. This property features lush tropical landscaping, two gorgeous pool areas with hot tubs and water features. There are gas grills peppered throughout the property and tennis courts available for your use. The Kamaole Beaches are world famous for their pristine water, long sandy shoreline, great snorkeling and boogey boarding. In addition during the winter, the humpback whales are just off shore and put on a great show. You will also enjoy the most magnificent sunsets imaginable. You also are within walking distance to activities, shops and restaurants and a short drive to the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena.

Fantastic property

Furnitures and interior was a bit outdated but well maintained so no issues. Had many beach equipment which was nice. Location is also fantastic - close to many wonderful beaches.

Great area

Really enjoyed this unit in a beautiful complex. We were exploring Maui so we didn’t take full advantage of all that we could have on the property. But I thoroughly enjoyed those daily moments on the balcony with all the birdsong.

Comfortable stay

Very clean and comfortable condo. The kitchen was well stocked, A/C worked well and the property had quiet hours (10pm-8am), which we appreciated. Pool was close to the unit. Boat launch beach area was very close to the condo, however, beach was a much longer walk-- so, we preferred to drive.

Great Resort and Unit

All I can say is that this is a great unit in a wonderful resort property. Parking has great access, the pool and grille areas are handy and it's got great beach access away from the most congested parts of kihei. The unit itself is as advertised so it's always nice not to get any bad surprises. I'd return to it in a heartbeat and the check-in process was seamless.

Ten Days On Maui

The property was fine and we enjoyed sitting on lanai listening to the many different birds. The condo wasn’t as updated as the one my daughter stayed in and the carpeting was stained and not the cleanest. All in all we had a great time.

Convenient location

Close to the beach, especially if you’re thinking about snorkeling with Redline Rafting, it’s just across the street. Many restaurants near by. Very easy checking and check out. We saw one roach inside the house and one on outside stairs, but other than that the place was organized. Something to keep in mind before booking is that it’s about 1.5 hrs from the famous Hana Highway. We will rent this place again when come back to Maui in the future . Thank you!

Great location to the beaches, great swimming pool, great grounds, the unit needs to be deep cleaned, the washer was broke for 2 weeks, the light didn't work in the bathroom for 3 days, the light was broken in one bedrooms fan and the fan made a terrible racket

The AC units were able to keep the units cool but a couple of them required some maintenance. They were noisy and not draining properly. December 2022 Stay

The condo is great. However, the pull-out couch is not comfortable at all. My son says he feels the springs in his back. Maybe buy a new mattress for the couch? There are tiny bugs constantly on the kitchen counter. The backsplash and counter are not sealed and the bugs crawl through the cracks; this is unfortunate. I would not stay in this unit again.

Just ok compared to other units in the complex

I agree totally with everything Terri J. said in the comments from Feburary 13, 2024. This was our third time staying at Maui Kamaole and the units we stayed in the previous two times were totally remodeled with kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, both bathrooms with new tile, cabinets, showers and new carpeting throughout for less than we paid for this unit. I know price is all about "supply and demand" and I was a little slow about jumping on other units that were available during this time. We defiantly enjoyed our stay for the whole month everything was in working order as Terri stated in previous review. We will return to Maui Kamaole most likely not this unit.

Great location close to Kamaole beaches. Its 30 mins from airport. The unit was clean, carpeted no smells. Nice balcony with outdoor seating. Parking was easy. There are two pools. Grocery stores and shops close by.Kitchen has everything including dishwashing detergent. Laundry in unit is great. Ice machine made a ton of ice. AC is strong. Sofa bed in family room is nice, but could hear chicken crowing in early morning. Garbage/Recycle was nearby and easy. BBQ next to pool. Highly recommend, great value. Check in/out was easy.

Our Favorite Complex

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying at Maui Kamaole. We ususally stay up in the "M" building which we prefer because it's by the "better" pool and you get better views. That said, this unit was fine. The best part about it (compared to other units we've rented) was the abundant number of fans they provide (in addition to the AC). The kitchen was well stocked and we even found an InstaPot. The unit had an AppleTV, but no remote and even after trying to use my iPhone to hook it up, never got it working; not a huge deal, but irritating. There were 3 air mattresses provided, but the 2 AeroBeds were missing caps making inflating difficult (hard to explain, but we got it to work). There were 4 beach chairs, 2 of which were Tommy Bahama. The backpack straps on one of the Tommy's was busted, and one of the other 2 chairs was rusted/broken but workable.All that said, we'd stay in this unit again. It was comparable to the others we've stayed in. The good thing about being in the "B" building and lower in the complex is it's an easier walk to the beaches/town.

Nostalgic and cozy condo!

Our family of 5 has been visiting Kihei almost annually since 2010. We’ve stayed at different condos/properties each visit. This was our first stay at Maui Kamaole. We stayed 2 weeks. The space is very warm and cozy, full of nostalgic Hawaiian beach decor and furniture that felt immediately comforting (strong 90s Golden Girls vibes). We felt immediately at home. Our two teen girls set up in the loft and the space and bathroom were perfect for their needs. Our tween son took over the sofa bed in the living area, which he loved. The main lanai off the living area is a perfect place for morning coffee, swinging, and shared meals. We spent most mornings and evenings on the lanai. The pool is close, which was a big bonus for us. The beach (Kam 3) is a downhill walk, so if you have physical accessibility needs I recommend driving to the beach. Walking back up with beach gear in tow is a bit of a climb if you have little ones who are tired or cranky, so I recommend renting a beach wagon for the walk. We rented snorkel gear, boogie boards, and an umbrella. The condo has good chairs. If you need beach toys, you should bring those along or rent/buy. This is a wonderful, well-loved space, and I hope the owners never renovate because it’s the most charming, nostalgic space, and I never want it to change! 🥰

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd stay in Maui Kamole. The property itself is wonderful as is the location. No qualms at all. And recommend highly. As for B206, it was not up to par with the other 2 units we stayed in previously. As others said it was dated and honestly fashion doesn't mean anything to me, I am ok with avocado green etc. We had issues with the TV, a non covered outlet, a bathroom screen that was dirty and did not fit properly, 2 drawers in the loft that were not usable, sheets that were starting to pill, a night stand that was peeling and a towel rack that fell apart every time you pulled a towel off. The unit is for 6 but only 4 chairs so keep that in mind. The rental agency did come and fix the TV and added a cover to the outlet. And will probably address the other issues later. The good is we were able to have dinner in most nights as there was basics for cooking available. All the appliances are in working order. All the AC units work and the unit has lots of fans if you choose to use them. There is lots of colorful dishware and tupperware like containers. Always a plus. The decor is Hawaiian and I personally like that. The parking is super close for your car. The unit is a quick walk to the street and lower pool. Our neighbors were respectful and quiet. The stairs are steep in the unit so if mobility is an issue do not use this unit. The carpet makes the landing a smaller area. Children will have no issue with it. I have never stayed in a loft 2 bed area before and was surprised at how the noise carries upstairs. Not a problem for most. Just be aware. The downstairs bedroom was great. . There were some added touches also. A swing chair on the lanai, yoga mats and light weights, a few dvd and books to exchange, plastic glassware etc. Given we have stayed in other units I would not stay in this one again if others were available for the same cost.
