About this property

House in a typical village in the heart of Chianti

Located in a pretty and peaceful village on the top of a hill in the Chianti area which overlooks a landscape of olive trees, vineyards and woods. The village is located in a WWF protected area "Bosco di Sant'Agnese" where the cypresses grow spontaneously.
The structural characteristics of a typical country has been scrupulously respected, creating a typical and unique atmosphere of the past. The oldest part is the 1100 AD tower. c.
There are two large parking lots in the village and there are no cars on the small streets, except for loading / unloading luggage.
Available to guests and shared with the other villagers, we have a completely enclosed swimming pool (12x6m maximum depth. 1.50m) and a tennis court (fenced) in synthetic grass.

The villa was in such a beautiful location. The property owner, knowing that we had traveled a great distance, met us with treats. The pool was clean, the tennis court in great shape, and lots of options for scenic walks! It was great!!!

Great location to explore Chianti!

It's a great home base to start exploring the region. Two wineries are very close by, and Florence is an easy drive away. The traditional way the house is built keeps it nice and cold during the day. We loved it!

Great vacation in an ancient and quiet environment

My family and I enjoyed the stay at the former farmhouse. It is very quiet to which you have to take a two-mile dusty two-track from the windy Tuscan mountain road. But the view and the quietness really make up for it. Rarely do we have the opportunity to see that many stars on the night sky since there are too many city lights around us. The proximity to Poggibonsi with a larger supermarket and Castellina in Chianti with good restaurants and smaller markets is also very convenient. And you are close to both Florence and Siena as well as the tourist destinations of San Giminiano and Volterra. All of those can be reached within an hour or less driving time while being away from the hustle, smell and volume of Italian cities. Don't forget to visit some of the great wineries in the Chianti area which are very close to the property - it is surrounded by vineyards! And for food aficionados there is the famous butchery of Dario Cecchini in Panzano you will want to visit. He has some great Sushi di Chianti you may want to try and will sell you some of the famous bistecca Fiorentina (the Tuscan Porterhouse) with two days pre-ordering. For pizza lovers the two restaurants in the pedestrian zone of Castellina in Chianti provide you with outstanding pies the Italian way. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay in the remodeled farmhouse. Please be aware that during the summer months it does get quite hot in Tuscany. We encountered days of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and there is no air conditioning in the farmhouse! Massimiliano and Veronica took care of us and helped us when we forgot to take the key to the main door which can only be opened with a key from the outside. Thanks a lot for the hospitality!

Super vacances !La maison est nichée dans un véritable écrin de verdure, au cœur des oliviers et des paysages toscans. Après quelques minutes sur un petit chemin, on découvre ce hameau en pierre plein de charme, avec sa petite chapelle qui lui confère une authenticité incroyable.Le logement est parfaitement équipé : la climatisation la nuit en août est un vrai plus, et la terrasse, idéalement orientée, permet de profiter de longues soirées conviviales autour d’un repas. Les deux chambres sont confortables et bien aménagées.La piscine, magnifique, a été notre rituel de fin de journée après les visites, et la vue qu’elle offre est digne d’une carte postale.Un grand merci à l’hôte pour son accueil chaleureux et l’organisation impeccable. La communication a été simple, fluide et agréable.

Séjour dans le Chianti

Très bon séjour, petite maison au coeur du Chianti très agréable. A proximité de tous ce qui a simplifié nos visites. Il faudrait juste préciser dans l'annonce que le logement ne possède qu'une climatisation mobile à l'étage. Notre arrivé a été parfaite avec l'accueil de Véroniqua, merci beaucoup pour les gentilles attention (eau fraiche, gâteau, fruits, ...)

Meget slidt lejlighed men rent. Der var meget varmt og Air con. kunne ikke køle nok ned. Svær og hullet grus opkørsel på 2 km til huset. Dejligt område og pool og tennisbane stemte overens med billeder.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce sublime endroit, entouré de la vigne et des oliviers dans le cœur du Chianti ! La situation géographique est top, le site est idéalement situé pour découvrir Pise, Florence et Sienne … La piscine est un vrai bonheur pour se rafraîchir et se ressourcer après une belle journée de visite. Toscane chère à mon cœur

En pleine nature au milieu des oliviers des vignes et des cyprès. Idéalement situe entre Florence et Sienne, à quelques kilomètres de San Gemignano . L’endroit idéal pour visiter la région et une belle piscine et un terrain de tennis. Le bonheur absolu.

Es war wunderbar…

Ein schönes kleines Reihenhäuschen in einem ehemaligen Klosteranwesen, das in viele kleine Ferieneinheiten umgewandelt wurde. Wenn auch die Auffahrt die Straße hinauf durchaus abenteuerlich war (1. Gang und viel Schotter und Staub), war sie es für die einmalige Lage und den Blick auf die Chiantiebenen auf jeden Fall wert. Wald, Oliven- und Feigenbäume, sehr ruhig und weit ab von jeder Hektik. (Pro-Tipp: nehmt nicht die Route über San Donato, sonst kommt ihr in den Genuss einer weiteren steilen Schotterstraße). Die Unterkunft war mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen kurzen oder auch längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Es war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Obwohl das Haus in der typischen Steinbauweise errichtet wurde und dadurch bei 36+ Grad recht kühl blieb, war es gut, dass die beiden oberen Zimmer noch eine Klimaanlage hatten. (Pro-Tipp: kombiniert die Klimaanlage mit dem Ventilator, der die kalte Luft nicht nach oben, sondern in die beiden Zimmer weht) Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Veronica empfangen - und gleich mit Obst, Kuchen und Wasser im Kühlschrank versorgt. Sie hatte an alles gedacht. Es waren die Kleinigkeiten, auf die die Gastgeber achteten - Tennisschläger, falls man doch mal spielen wollte oder Badekappen, weil im Pool die Pflicht dazu bestand (wir hatten eigene mit, aber für den Fall hätten wir auch die neuen im Haus nutzen können). Alles in Allem eine tolle und erholsame Zeit! Vielen Dank!
