The charm of Moonglade Cottage has been welcoming families and summer guests for the past 50 years. Location, amenities and the natural beauty of the surrounding area are what keeps these guests returning year after year.

Situated on the eastern shore of Suttons Bay, Moonglade boasts of spectacular sunsets framed by the twin birch trees from the deck off the master bedroom. The screened in porch with wicker furniture awaits you at days end to relax or simply hear the pristine blue water of Suttons Bay. The porch is a great place to take a nap or just read a great book while the midday sun hovers ahead. The cottage is equipped with engineered wood floors (no carpeting), granite/tile bath, compact yet efficient kitchen with all full size appliances with gas range, fridge and dishwasher, 2 bedrooms. both with queen beds, 2 TV's and all of the amenities of home.

The ambiance of the village of Suttons Bay lies just 2 miles away. Playing host to award winning restaurants, art galleries, and boutique shopping, Suttons Bay is another constant reminder of why guests travel to Leelanau County.

The heartbeat of Northwest Michigan is Traverse City located just 15 minutes away with world class restaurants, shopping and entertainment at nearby Interlochen Center for the Arts or Dennos Center. Be sure to take advantage of it all!

We spent 3 nights at Moonglade cottage and had a wonderful stay. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed. Very clean and comfy. The back screened porch facing the water was a perfect place for relaxing. Evenings were spent around the bonfire. Tom, the host, was friendly and quick to respond. We will be back next year!

Scenic and peaceful

This cottage and area surrounding were lovely. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. We spent so much time on that screened porch overlooking the water. What a treat. This place is my new favorite. I appreciate that I could bring my dog. All communication was very timely and every question was answered quickly. Wonderful, restful week.

Weekend iat Suttons Bay

The cottage is cute and right on the bay. Take stairs down to the retaining wall patio and dock. We loved that there was no sand to get off our feet!! Very peaceful this time of year (before school is out). Perfect place for us to enjoy some R&R between family wedding activities. Enjoyed our stay!

Great little cottage

This cottage fit all our needs. My husband and I stayed for 4 days. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, beautiful view of the water, and close proximity to restaurants. We also took advantage of the bike trail, hiking in the state park, and short drive to the wineries. We will most definitely consider this property in the future.

Weekend getaway

This is our second visit, and we couldn’t have had a more enjoyable time! The beautiful cottage, views of Sutton’s Bay, and our wonderful host made this another memorable trip to Sutton’s Bay! North Country Kitchen and Bar in Sutton’s Bay, the beach in Leland, 45 North Winery, Blackstar Farms, Grand Traverse Lighthouse, and Sutton’s Bay Ciders were just a few of our favorite places to visit while we were here. Thank you again, Tom, for being such a good host. We look forward to visiting again!

Amazing stay with 10 month old & dog!

My partner, son, dog and I stayed here for 4 days and my only wish is that we could’ve stayed longer. House is awesome, clean, and has high end features in the kitchen if you want to cook. Thomas was a great host and very helpful! The water is as clear as can be and my dog enjoyed jumping off the dock over and over and over again.

Moonglade Review

This was our first stay at the Moonglade Cottage, we will definitely be back! The property has all of the modern amenities you could ever need, while maintaining it's quaint, cottage feel. Communication with the host was second to none. Overall, we would definitely recommend Moonglade to anyone that is interested.

Anniversary Getaway

This place is a real gem! My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. The place was decorated beautifully, the view was spectacular, communication with the host was easy and informative. The host even left us a lovely surprise in the refrigerator - a chilled bottle of wine! My husband and I look forward to renting with him again. Thank you for a lovely time.

The cottage was perfect. Our favorite activity was enjoying wine in the screened porch overlooking the bay. The location to downtown Sutton’s Bay and Traverse City were a plus. Our host was excellent in communicating with us from time of booking until our departure. The only regret was not being able to extend our stay for one more day.

Stunning views, nice screened in porch. We used the kayaks. The house was about 2 miles from the TART trail and HopLots. The property is very small but clean. No washer/dryer. Bring coffee, tea, basic toiletries etc.

We could not ask for a better experience at Moon Glade. It was so relaxing but also close to everything in town. We saw bald eagles and kayaked the glass waters. Highly recommend!

Beauty on the Bay

Our stay was great..we lucked out had good weather for April! Moonglade Cottage was very nice..clean..I didn’t cook much while there but could tell kitchen equipped very good for about anything! Located very close to Suttons Bay which is an amazing town..lots of good shopping & eating! Beds were very comfortable..places to store “stuff”! All in all very nice place ..we hope to return sometime during the summer!!!
