Frame Farm enjoys an idyllic position in a peaceful, rural valley below the pretty village of Benenden in Kent’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set in 22 acres of rolling sheep pasture, 3 Weaver's Cottage has been refurbished to the highest standards throughout and now provide luxurious accommodation. This magnificent, sustainably-run building stands in celebration of the Wealden cloth trade that once dominated this part of Kent and East Sussex.
The cottage has been finished impeccably and is tastefully decorated with a mix of modern and classical furnishings that offer elegance, comfort and luxury. A delightfully designed open plan living area, with floor to ceiling glass windows and doors, lead up to two stylish bedrooms. Each is furnished to a high standard with your comfort in mind and with dressing tables and hairdryers provided.
The cottage’s South facing terrace is perfect for an alfresco drink, or enjoy a BBQ whilst watching the sun set down the sheep valley from The Byre’s terrace.
Naturally cocooned by the landscape, and dating from 1607, Weaver's Cottages sits in a cosy, secluded position to provide a true haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The gardens have been planted with care and consideration to give them a delicate, natural feel that is in keeping with our wider environment. Grasses and ferns provide shelter and texture, while perennials offer vibrant colour throughout the year. The lily pond is the ideal retreat for some peaceful reflection accompanied by the relaxing sound of the waterfall.
Countryside walks through fields and forests surround the farm, and the pretty village of Benenden with The Bull at Benenden and the Woodcock pub are only a short stroll away. There is plenty to do in this picturesque part of Kent with the historic towns of Cranbrook and Tenterden close by. There are some outstanding restaurants and many interesting attractions including Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, Great Dixter, Scotney and Bodiam Castles, Bodiam Boating Station and Bedgebury Pinetum. It is a vibrant wine region and home to Chapel Down, Gusbourne, Woodchurch and Hush Heath to name just a few of the local vineyards. Also, within half an hour is the seaside town of Rye and Camber Sands, with its five miles of fine golden sand.
For group holidaying, Frame Farm is the ideal location with a total of 6 cottages sleeping up to 20 people. Very pleasant and atmospheric accommodation in a pretty rural location. Comfortable, clean and just the right mix of traditional and modern. The owners/managers were very welcoming and on hand to help if needed. Heartily recommended as a base for touring the Kent countryside.

Thank you for your kind review of the farm. We're delighted you all enjoyed your stay at Weaver's Cottages back in mid-April and had fun exploring all our fantastic local area has to offer. We do hope to welcome you and your family back to the farm - lots more to explore close by just over the border in East Sussex too! with our best wishes, Deana & Tim
My wife and I had a lovely two week stay. It was a real home away from home. We were made very welcome by our hosts Deana, Tim and Polly, and given space to be peaceful. The cottages are finished to a high standard, immaculate clean and very cosy and comfortable. The setting is in a small valley, surrounded by sheep fields, you feel very much away from it all.

About the host
Hosted by Deana & Tim Maw
Frame Farm became our family home in 2015, purchased with the intention of creating an exceptional private venue within the redundant Grade II listed farm buildings that lie to the west of the Georgian farmhouse. Giving the barns a new life, the farm a viable future, and supporting local businesses was of great importance to us, so we embarked on a meticulous restoration programme that took three and a half years to complete.
We incorporated low-carbon technology into the design with a deliberate move away from fossil fuels and a focus on energy efficiency. During our first year we renovated Weaver's Cottages and installed a biomass boiler, which provides all the heating and hot water requirements for all the buildings on the farm. We introduced low energy lighting and appliances throughout the buildings and our solar panels now produce a surplus of energy which can be directed into the heating system.
Wherever we can we have recycled and reused building materials in the renovation. The old stable posts now support the pontoon on the pond and horse troughs form the sinks in The Oak Barn. We felled a huge dead oak tree on the farm and have used the timber for both the restoration and for our bar, benches and table.
Our achievements were recognised in 2021 by the Rural Business Award when they judged us the inaugural National Winner of the "Sustainability and Environmental Impact Award".
Aside from our green aspirations, we know that a warm welcome, personal service and relaxed setting will ensure our guests are easily captivated by the magic and beauty of Frame Farm. It is a very special place that we look forward to sharing with you.
