We were made very welcome and the place itself was very cozy . It wasn’t nice weather so we appreciated it . The pub next door had great food and again we felt at home . They made such a fuss of our dog too .
Cottage comfy with all you need for a short break. Pub next door made our stay because of its great food; great staff and great atmosphere. One of the best pubs we have been in.
This was a lovely apartment attached to the pub. Debbie, the owner, has the most amazing customer service and this is replicated amongst her staff. We had a great break - the food in the pub is brilliant!

An amazing stay the cottage was cozy, clean and well equipped.
Debbie and the staff at the lion inn made us feel very welcome. The food served at the lion was outstanding.
We had a few memorable nights there, we felt like part of the community, it was a great laugh. What a lovely bunch of people.xx
Lovely 'Lion's Den' off The Lion car park but did not feel overlooked. Beautifully clean and comfy, well equipped, very good food in pub, and supplied for self cook breakfast, very helpful, polite staff and owner. All in all lovely. Will go again.

Not what we expected
The property was tired & grubby & not beautiful as described. There were 2 very full large builders skips right in front of the property making sitting out in the tiny courtyard quite an unpleasant experience. In the morning there was no hot water to the property.
No tea towels for drying crockery.
Spacious cottage in an ideal Wye Valley location...very attentive staff. Lion Pub right outside makes it very convenient for meals. After ordering my pizza at the bar, the staff offered to bring it to the cottage for me! Would definitely stay there again.
Cannot recommend this accommodation enough. Brilliant location with stunning walls close by.
Very friendly staff, lovely accommodation perfect for a short stay. Wonderful walks close by. The Lion Inn was so cosy with a fantastic roast before we left, best pub roast I have ever had. Pet friendly as well. Perfect 10/10
We spent a relaxing break in this characterful comfortable property exploring a beautiful part of the country. Right next to an excellent friendly pub with great food, yet peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended!
The cottage itself was very cosy and had everything that we required. Other reviews had said how small it was but we felt it was advertised as being small and for 2 adults and a Labrador it was more than adequate.
The location was ideal, allowing us to visit everything we had planned with no problems.
The owner was lovely and happy to accommodate us if there was anything we needed. We ate in the Lion Inn pub attached every night and the staff and locals were friendly and the food was exceptional.
We would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would definitely come back again ourselves.
The only thing for some people is that there is no phone signal at all, for us that was perfect!
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Tucked away in a corner next to the Lion Inn, it is well equipped and comfortable. Whilst not big enough perhaps for an extended stay, you have all you need for a few nights break in the glorious countryside around. The special bit however is the pub next door. The food is first class with some great options. We invited close relatives to join us for a meal and they were particularly impressed by the attention and service given to one of the party with a dietary issue. The chef cooked specially for her - brilliant. No review of the Lion Inn would be complete without tribute to Debbie - a fantastic warm welcome, seeking us out at our table on the first night to make sure we had all we needed for a great stay. We did and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A real find of a place.
I loved staying in this cottage! The location was great and the property itself was ideal for a short solo trip. Plus being so close to the pub was an added bonus.
