The cottage was just as expected from the pictures, very clean and well provided. Welsh hills visible in almost all directions and only a few minutes' walk from the town.
We came down for a few days bike riding. Lovely, cute, cozy cottage right in the middle of town within walking distance of all amenities. Very well equipped. Warm and comfy. Communication with the host was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend
Really handy location for local places to eat in the evening without having to walk more than a couple of minutes or drive! Spotless and very comfortable for 4 people, although not much space for dogs to run around in the garden if you’re taking one that is all I would say. Although we were out and about with ours most of the time so didn’t matter anyway. Also couldn’t find any dog bowls so maybe take some.
Lots of useful info provided by the host and provisions such as hand soap, loo roll and even a few tea bags had been provided which was lovely. Beds nice and comfy. Really good location for drives to beaches and falls, and Climbing trails a plenty. Thanks for a lovely time Julia!

Thanks for your comments. The cottage was constructed during the mid to late 19th Century so keeping the damp at bay around the windows is a constant battle, particularly during the winter months. I will of course address this when the weather improves.
The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a great location to the town where there was lots of different options to eat out. It was a great base to explore Mid and North Wales. Julie responded quickly to any correspondence we had. It was a bonus we could bring the dog with too.

The owner (Julia?) was really helpful when the hob briefly defeated us.
What I didn't like about the whole process was VRBO failing to acknowledge when I changed, kept telling VRBO, that there were three of us going. Made it needlessly stressful.
We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in Machynlleth. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, it is conveniently located within very close proximity of the town centre and all its amenities and the host was extremely helpful and accommodating.
