We are a large newly renovated home in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. We have 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. There is a hot tub and a large screened in porch. 2 living rooms and large dining room with table for 10. Fireplace and outdoor fire pit.

There is a shared private sandy beach on Mirror Lake for swimming which includes the use of a 3 seat canoe. No fishing. Beach is reserved from
4:00-7:00pm for owners only (no renters).

We (family of 5) stayed here in August 2025. The location is great, just off Mirror Lake, with beach access, and the house is quiet and spacious, with some nice amenities (hot tub). Chris and Lora were excellent hosts. Would definitely stay again.

LP Family Trip

This property has everything you need. Very comfortable, clean, great outdoor space, nice neighborhood, walkable. Access to the lake was excellent. Great to have use of the kayak and canoe. We did use them and enjoyed having time on the water.Have already recommended this property to family friends who spend time in LP each year!Should we return to LP, would definitely rent again.

Great family stay

Great family vacation spot. The kids loved the private beach across the street. Trailhead for Cobb hill just a short walk down the road - a lovely first hike for our 3 and 5 year old. With multiple living areas, huge kitchen, and a large backyard, it never felt crowded with 2 families plus Grandma and Grandpa - who had their own bedroom and bathroom on the 1st floor.

Amazing, relaxing stay

Stayed with a few girlfriends for a much-needed getaway. The listing was very accurate and we loved this house. It was convenient to walk to Mirror Lake and Main Street, but so quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable and lots of room. Loved the hot tub and porch/decks and yard. The kitchen is fantastic with so much room to gather and cook. Chris was a great host and very responsive and helpful. It was a fantastic home base for the hiking and other activities, but also we had an incredible time just relaxing at the house. I would love to stay again in any season.

We had a great time at this mirror Lake home. This weekend brought us lots of snow and fun memories. The hot tub and fireplace were the perfect warm up after a long ski day!

Very cozy house, in great location close to Mirror Lake and Main St, but still in a quiet road. Was very well equipped with anything we needed, from kitchen utensils, appliances and cleaning material. Looks much better in person than pictures, some furniture has been replaced for newer. Definitely recommend!

Chris the owner was easy to deal with. House was as advertised and worked great for our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). The hot tub was a big hit. I would recommend this house if you are looking for a nice private house just outside downtown Lake Placid.

Wonderful New Year's Family Weekend

We had a delightful time! The house is beautiful, and the location is perfect for walks around Mirror Lake and enjoying the town of Lake Placid. There was firewood in the garage for us to have cozy fires in the fireplace and play board games and make crafts on the dining room table. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked to make family meals. Wonderful place for our family New Year's long weekend.

Beautiful House, Modern Amenities

My group and I had a great time, and the house was more than large enough for our entire group of 8. We were also pleasantly surprised at how modern all of the amenities were, including the full gas range, hot tub/jacuzzi, and very nice flatscreen TV. The fireplace was also very nice and cozy. It's in a quiet area but just 5 minutes from the center of town.

Spectacular Vacation Rental

Property had all the amenities needed for a mountain / lake getaway. House was very spacious, and clean and had great proximity to downtown and to Mirror Lake. Fire pit was a bonus to enjoy a relaxing campfire after a busy day. Hiking trails are very close as well. The owner of the property was very accommodating and made sure all our needs were met. I can't wait to stay here again soon! Highly recommend!!!

Family Vacation

This home is amazing for a large group looking to relax, but still be close to town and hiking. The location of the home is perfect and you will love every feature of the home! You are close to town, golf, and hiking, but in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the large table for family game night and beach access during the day for kayaking. The hosts are amazing and so welcoming! All 9 of us highly recommend this home!

This house was perfect for us in every way! The pictures do not due it justice! It has a high vaulted ceiling above the formal living room with a wood burning fireplace that was very nice. The kitchen and marble counter that seats eight was fantastic, and we also love the two part divided dishwasher that made it easy to wash half a load. The porches, both indoor and out were very nice too, as was the private beach with Adirondack chairs, Everything was clean and worked well. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub or boats, but they are there and ready to use.The owner Chris was very easy to communicate with and was very friendly. I’d highly recommend this house over any other for its size—4 bedrooms, location, huge kitchen, lovely yard and screened in porch. You can’t go wrong here! Thanks Chris, I know we will be back!

We bought this house in 2001 as a second home but soon found out that we never wanted to leave! We moved our family here in 2006. Our children are in college now and I have just started spending more time in New Jersey on a job assignment. We plan on retiring here in 3-5 years but enjoy sharing our home with families from around the country/world in the meantime. Once you stay, you will see why it is so hard to leave this area!

Why they chose this property

This property is wonderful because it has a large flat yard (for kids to run around on), it is just a short walk to the private beach. It is wooded on 3 sides and has a walking trail right out the back yard.
