This is a beautiful victorian 3 bedroomed character property , with well-equipped kitchen, beautiful decor,
new comfortable beds 2023 , outdoor seating area, with just a 5 minute walk Into Dartmouth , we have a parking space for the house very close by , we took over Midships recently and refurbished and decorated throughout, the beds are comfortable and the bedding luxurious, we have made this house into something special for you to enjoy during your stay .
Books and and plenty of selection of games in the dining room cupboard , nautical feel to the decor , fun crockery , lots of arty touches and a seaside feel for you to enjoy ..
Some really lovely cafes and eateries available in Dartmouth with plenty to choose from , boat trips to enjoy, Agatha Christie house near by and a few national trust properties not far away , sandy beaches near by , a theatre and cinema in the town , leisure centre five minute drive from the house , local shops and supermarkets close by , just make a plan and enjoy , a good information folder for you to look through , take a deep breath and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Midships

Midships Holiday stay

The house we stayed in at Dartmouth Midships, was lovely very clean tidy and well equipped, the beds so comfortable. Everything we hoped for, the hosts were very helpful, nothing to much trouble. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing

We really enjoyed our stay at Midships 179. The cottage is lovingly furnished and offers plenty of space. The seating area in front of the house is wonderful (if the sun ever shines 😉 ). Dartmouth was a good base for us for many activities in South Devon. The owners were very helpful and attentive. We can only recommend Midships 179. Thank you very much!

What A Wonderful Place To Stay In Dartmouth

Thank you Nicola for making our 2-week trip to Dartmouth so wonderful. Everything from the arrival to checking out went super easy, and the property exceeded our expectations. It's even nicer than the pictures show. We stayed for 2 weeks as a family of two adults and four kids and there was plenty of space for everyone. The decking area at the front is perfect for catching some afternoon and evening sun. One of the standout features were the beds. The mattresses were unbelievably comfortable!!! The house is only about a 12 minute walk to the river front, and the parking space is an absolute must. There is limited parking in Dartmouth and having that parking space close by helped a lot. The house was also immaculately clean when we arrived and has obviously been refurbished to a very high standard recently. We enjoyed every minute of our 2 weeks and would highly recommend Dartmouth and especially this house for a family holiday.

Emma was brilliant to deal with prior to our arrival, The property was great.

The property is in a lovely location very close to shops and harbour etc . The property has the added bonus of being able to assist in burning off fat ( walking up the hill) after all that lovely food And drink Dartmouth has to offer, it’s really not a problem my mum is 77 and was able to cope, just take your time. Home from home

The house was beautifully clean, warm and welcoming. Everything was perfect for a small celebration of my son’s Passing Out from Britannia RNC. Would definitely recommend Midships!

Great house!!!!!

10 mins walk to town quite steep on way back but there’s a bus to the doorstep every 30 mins. Really warm bid house for a group of 6 . Big enough to have a quiet space to yourself as well. Well equipped kitchen and well worth every penny. We will be booking it again.

Midships

Overall really good. Top floor is lovely and bathrooms worked well. Master bed wasn't comfortable due to springs and mattress that moves your partner each time you shift about. Kitchen needs a bigger fridge for a family holidaying when eating out is expensive in the UK. Comfortable everywhere though. Super windows that keep house warm or cool and fun selection of games. Towels and bedding and touches of home everywhere made for an enjoyable stay.

Modern Victorian Home on the Hill

I mention the hill because the only thing anyone needs to be aware of is that there is a significant climb to the house. However, most of Dartmouth is built on a hillside and the house is certainly worth the effort! A beautiful house with everything you need! The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure that a stay at 179 Midships leaves you rested, relaxed and wanting for nothing! I would absolutely come back again and again. A truly beautiful home in a great location.

Good facility

Overall excellent property and great location. Its own car parking space is a boon. However the mattress's on the adult beds are a little hard. I moved the bunk bed mattress's on to our beds to get a softer 'sleep. I normally sleep on a hard mattress, but those were a little to hard.

Nice large Victorian house in Dartmouth

The house was well equipped. It was nice to have seating for 6 people n a sunny spot at the front of the house. The house is up a hill but there is a bus stop (number 90 every 30 minutes) almost outside and only 2 stops to or from the town centre. The walk is less than 10 minutes. Great to have a parking space . My VW caddy max fitted in the small car park lovely. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location in Dartmouth

Very clean and good size property. The owners were very good at giving us any information we needed. Only thing we would suggest is some sort of lighting on the steps up to the property.

Great location with parking

We were pleased with the property and its location, plus it’s on the 90 bus route from Dartmouth town. Parking can be a little tricky if you have a long car. Very homely and comfortable house.

Lovely Holiday Home

Lovely house. Had everything we needed. Well equipped. The house is on a steep hill with a steep ramp and stairs so no good for anyone with mobility issues. Parking is at the bottom of the steep hill. Did not bother us … kept us fit after all the lovely Dartmouth food. Loved the master bedroom / en-suite.

Lovely stay in stunning home

We loved our stay in Dartmouth at Emmas! She was a brilliant host from our arrival and the place was spotless. The house is furnished to a high standard and the ensuite in the master was a real luxury. Kitchen was really well equipped and we really enjoyed 3 nights (of our 7) enjoying home cooking, snuggled up and staying in! Dartmouth is a beautiful town and we’d really recommend booking Platform One well in advance for a delicious meal. PS The parking is just down the hill from the house so be sure to offload your luggage before parking up! Emma makes this clear in her instructions for arrival.

Lovely, clean and spacious house . Everything that you need for your stay included. Fabulous location just a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Dartmouth harbour with its shops and restaurants. Very good property for a family holiday.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. Plenty of space and very well equipped. We loved its location, making it very easy to pop into Dartmouth for the shops, boat trips and fish and chips. Even though the parking space was a few minutes down the hill, it was good to have a reserved parking in this busy town. Glad we could unload outside the property! Lovely friendly hosts who answered all our questions before our stay.
