Grounds

A very pretty country garden with a level lawn and two glorious loggias for lounging and dining. The private swimming pool, 7 x 15m/23 x 52 feet, (which is open all year round), lies immediately in front of the second loggia, with very comfortable loungers for sunbathing.

Assistance is provided locally by the property's very helpful caretaker, who speaks a little English and lives in an attached house. Services included in the rental fee, and optional services available, are noted under Price and Availability.

Lorenzo was an amazing incredible host! His villa was spacious, clean and well appointed. The gardens and pool area are second to none, stunning. It was a perfect home for a Tuscan holiday. Our host arranged a for a private cooking lesson in the villa which was the highlight of the trip. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to experience all that Tuscany has to offer!

Tuscany vacation

Our family First time in Tuscany. Lorenzo was very helpful always there when we needed him. He suggested restaurants and winery locations. Very responsive, the pool was very pristine and great for kids of all ages.

The property is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the Florence area especially at sunset. Kitchen is fully stocked which made cooking quite easy. The owner is very friendly, flexible and helpful. The pool is well maintained. Bedrooms are air conditioned, but don't get as cold as you might be used to if you are from the US. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would be happy to return again!

A beautiful quintessential Tuscan Villa

We were a group of six who had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful villa with an absolutely stunning property with a large pool and outdoor living area. Our favourite night was having Bernardo come and make a traditional Tuscan dinner for us including bruschetta, pasta which was the best we had while travelling through Italy, chicken with a beautiful salad and classic tiramisu. What a spectacular evening to close out an amazing stay at this villa. To get around easily we recommend highly to have a vehicle.

Beautiful & Fantastic

The villa was great. My family and I had a fantastic time. Lorenzo was the perfect host. Always there when needed to help with a dinner reservation or to answer questions about how to do something or where to go. If you want Italian charm...this is it. And the pool was spectacular. I can't recommend more highly.

The house was a lovely authentic Italian Villa, which is exactly what we wanted. It was roomy, for 8 people, with 5 bedrooms. It has a beautiful view of the property in the main living room that we enjoyed all week. It had individual air conditioning units in the bedrooms, that cooled well in most rooms and if not we were able to open the windows to the cool Florence evenings.We enjoyed the outside area around the pool and the covered area for night visits, just bring citronella candles or spray for the evenings. The owners, who live on site, were fabulous if we had a question or needed assistance. We rented 2 cars which provided us transportation, but used cabs to the villa a few days which are a little pricey.We highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a home to spend time with family and friends. It was a wonderful experience and home base for our Tuscany travels.

Beautiful Property

Villa Giotta was the perfect spot for our family trip. We stayed for 7 nights with 8 adults and 2 children. Lorenzo was very attentive to our needs and very helpful in finding transportation when we wanted to go as a group to Sienna. He also arranged a cooking class at the Villa which was a highlight for our trip. The property exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful inside and out. The pool was clean and the gardens were gorgeous. We were a 20 minute bus ride from Florence with a bus stop just a short walk away. There was a market just 15 minutes from us which was very convenient as we went several times. Thank you to Lorenzo and his Mother for helping to make this wonderful family trip!

Lovely villa

Lorenzo, our host, was the most helpful and communicative person. We had another VRBO cancel on our group of 8 people 6 days before arriving in Florence. The villa is so so spacious with gathering rooms and dining in multiple locations. Note that a car is recommended as this is quite far from Florence. Though there is a bus it doesn’t run regularly all day. Taxis can add up. You can’t walk on these back roads either. That said our hosts made us feel so welcome. We arrived later in eve than expected and they met us warmly, made dinner reservations and drove us to the ristorante. It was an amazing dinner! Note that the bedroom upstairs is huge but no bath up there and no mirror . But view was gorgeous from that room. Water pressure and heat need to be managed for a group. We staggered showers to keep water warm. Pressure- not good but again we managed. The home is relaxing and we appreciated the host’s attention to our needs and questions. Grazie Lorenzo!
