Town: The seaside area of Ballinskelligs sits on the attractive Ballinskelligs Bay and is an Irish-speaking area with a unique history and culture. It is located on the magnificent Skellig Ring between Waterville and Valentia Island, on the forthcoming Wild Atlantic Way, with wild rugged coastlines, scattered islands, vast mountains, and high passes. The surrounding area features various ancient and early Christian ruins along its coasts, which were once the land base for the monks of Skellig Michael.
